appears i cant put any of the food into the animal feeder?

I second IDreamofZombie's idea we NEED that implimented as my group keeps filling the animal feeder with OUR food now I've got 10 Starving colonists & 4 well fed animals.

Consider integration with Better Storage System mod?

I really like your mod, thank you so much! I do have a suggestion/request. A feeding trough which only accepts the foods in this mod, maybe foul meat as well. Not replace the vanilla trough, just add an additional one for these foods. That way I can craft the animal feed and store it without my regular cook filling it with people food. Either way, thank you for this great mod.

Amazing mod, just what I needed! I left some feedback in the discussions forum. By the way, is there a reason why the Meat Ration Pack and Veggie Ration Pack are not implemented? I see you created them, but didn't add them to any lists so they can't be made/bought/used.

Love this addon! It was exactly what I was looking for when I decided I wanted something different for animal food. I was going to override the names in my local mod, but thought I'd suggest it here too: it would make it easier to tell what's an animal recipe if they all started with "Animal: ".

i got that too at first but after i saved and reloaded my game it seemed to work, you might be able to drop onto floor near them for them to eat too

Hi there, I tried making some hay rolls, but it says that the animal feeder is an invalid container type. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks

cool i found a hive farm trader who came to my outpost, with about 25 hay rolls and some other goodies and the animals eat them :)

hi this sounds like it will help solve my food issue where people keep running past people and eating spare food, just as i am moving the person towards the animal feeder :)

@Babok3k3 Making a special feeder will not solve the vanilla problem. If I were to make a special container, other items that are same category can still be placed in a special container such as teeth that animals and hive can eat as well. Afaik only food can be placed in animal feeder, and animals can eat any food. The purpose of this mod is to make food just for animals to prevent your party members that need food from eating from the animal feeder. This also makes it mod friendly for modders that make their own creatures/animals to use this mod as well.

You should have made a special feeder for these food, it would solve the vanilla problem where npc putting anything in the feeder.

Hi Phazero - im working on a large overhaul mod geared to making Kenshi feel more alive, difficult, and add world depth. Your pet food mod is great and would be a welcome addition to the final product. I've been playing with it in private testing and after playing with restrictions a bit for additional animals it's working well. Can I include this in the final release slated for later this year? All authors are given appropriate credit, and are invited to a private beta test before public release.

@WarPig262 I don't want to prevent others that use this mod from putting other types of food in the animal feeder.

Is there a way to prevent characters from dumping normal food into animal feeders?

Hey mate. I'm the author of Genesis Survival Mode, and this mod is perfect to adding a survival experience. It always annoyed me that herbivores suddenly ate meat as if it were candy :-). Wondering if I can include your mod as a contribution and build more functionality into it surrounding the survival experience and how pets play into that.

THANK YOU. I completely agree it is moronic that non-animals are eating out of the trough when there is a food barrel for them. The trough and food barrels should be mutually exclusive. Many thanks.

@Morkonan Afaik there is no tax for any of the animal foods. If I notice any taxes I will change it so there isn't any tax.

Will Shek "Tax Raids" see these food items as eligible for taxes? Just curious as I don't think they will because it's a separate item-class, but I don't know that for sure. :)

@Morkonan Yes this was intended for the Holy Farmers to sell animal food, since they sell animals.

Playing the latest full release for the game. I just noticed that all of these food items appear in Holy Farm inventories for sale, too. Was that intended or are these inventories just calling this new class of item from your mod? Not complaining, just noticing that the Holy Farmers seem to like having your food for their animals. :)

oh dude good job. I was just starting to get annoyed at my animal feeder because of my people emptying it.

This is great now I can fence in my animals with a locked door, and my squad avoid the feeder now, so my animals stay safe and locked in!...ty for this :)

An import seemed to have fixed it, actually, but thank you for taking the time.

I'll look into this later tonight and update this mod if I can replicate your issue.

Verified my game files' integrity after the update and it appears to have removed all these items from the game even after resubscribing. It's not for sale at the holy farms and all the instances I had of the items in my animal feeders have vanished.
