Unfortunately nobody is really thinking about the map and just leaves saying: this is taking forever... Still one of my favorite packs tho..

@Spear_ I tried looking into it too, but i didn't find any
depending on what the coding language is used to make mods, I'm sure I can try and design one

@TimmyJimmy i actually had that thought yesterday and was planning to look into it later. For now i cannot answer this one. Very good question though.

Are there any mods that have AI for maps like these? I've tried playing with Hardest, but they can't understand the map, and all resign by the time i reach the Castle age :steamsad:

jacob90lindingpedersen, i think they changed it with the workshop overhaul a few updates back that subscribing to workship items no longer downloads them to your PC.

TLDR: N00bs don't get overrun, good macro gives a single player advantage but the game is won with a good team play more than in "regular" maps.

@IRONCLAD CobrA of KRIEG

It completely takes out the early rushing possibilities, making it newbie-friendly for they get to experience the game from dark age to imperial age, train their macro skills and train late game war with (hopefully) fully upgraded units. There is still skill factor even in cutting trees; you need to plan ahead microing your woodcutters to get the most optimal city build. It's like Tetris in aoe.

The no-rush also makes it much more a team game: single player just can't usually steam roll the enemy team. To be most succesfull in this map, in a 4v4, one player (preferably Celts) should be the cutter, a player that goes to Imperial age as fast as possible and research Onager. Other 3 players should sling the Celts-player until they have access to the Onager, and boom after that. In expert game you see this strategy executed by both teams.

Great! Looking forward to play this on HD as well.

@Habbis

Ive added the map, and of course renamed it to avoid map corruption!

I'll just give a link to Google Drive folder where you can find all FN maps I currently have. The map is FN Edge TREB3.rms. If you would like some records on the map, I can share them too.

@Habbis

ive never seen the version youre talking about. can you try contacting me between 10am and 10pm Europe time to send me the map through lobby?

Also, i assume youre talking about the Allied Vision mod on Voobly. In that case, no i dont think there is a way to start with Carto on HD, unless you have a Portuguese teammate.
habbis 24 Jan, 2018 @ 3:12pm
As a seasoned FN player on Voobly I think this lacks the most popular version where you start off with a treb and the cleared starting area is 7x7 but is otherwise the same as the FN Relic Clearing. Also everybody start always with carto researched. Is there a way to start with carto?

My apologies, it was not broken I just didn't know how to use custom to find the rms maps.
