Speed, I just tested it my self, it is slightly far to the right, but it IS completely in sight, while idling. Maybe it is your aspect ratio, or resolution settings? Maybe try it again? can anyone else confirm that it's visible while idling?

Wondering, could it be held normally instead of being just out of sight unless you attack?

This looks almost exactly like a Cold Steel Latin Machete.
