Either freaking update the mod or delete it.

You do have some sort of responsibility to keep your mods up to date when so many people subscribe to them.

@ceeno The confederation timer in unfortunately buried in another table and making a change to it makes this mod not work at all with most other high use mods. I appreciate you testing it though, glad to have confirmation it works with new factions and it doesn't work after the fact.

Oh and the first bit comes from me testing that. I loaded a save that was the end of round autosave after I had confederated, and I had to load one pre-confederation and confederate again for it to work properly. It would be cool if you could also reduce the confederation timer, even if that'd be somewhat unbalanced lol.

You'd need to go to a save before confederating, and it worked fine with Eltharion, even though I did have a fair few mods also installed. Is it also meant to let you confederate again after only one turn, or is it meant to just get rid of the diplomatic penalty?

It is save game compatible though I am unsure if it'll work after you have confederated.

I'm actually about to try it with Eltharion, if I remember I'll say if it works or not. Is this mod save game compatible? And, does it work when you've just done a confederation?

Honestly unsure and I have no way to check for the time being. It theoretically should as long as the new factions are considered part of the old factions. The mod edits the races table and doesn't touch individual leaders at all.

@ilya-rysenkov It doesn't allow you to confederate more often, only gets rid of the debuff for confederating. The turn restriction requires editing different tables and makes the mod conflict with basically all overhauls.

It works, but after one turn prohibition is still here, though event is gone from faction panel. Maybe my mods conflict.

As a heads up, mod will not be updated to work with SFO. SFO updates too many tables and changes too much about confederations to get a stable mod. With the removal of the PO penalty in SFO, this mod probably isn't neccesary anyhow. This mod will continue to work with vanilla WH2. If you encounter any issues there, please let me know.

That is unfortunate but nothing I can do about it for awhile. CA changed a lot of the tables and I know SFO had to modify a ton of the mod as a result. I don't have the time to fix it at this moment. I will try and get to it sometime after Christmas.

Assuming nothing changes in the tables, this mod should be fully compatible with Mortal Empires when it comes out. I will try and update them Thursday around the time of launch but it may need to wait until Friday.

@trevorbergershank: When you open the campaign overview (button of flag on top right of screen), does it still say "recently confederated" or something along those lines? If so, something is conflicting with the mod.

It doesn't seem to have removed the penalty at all for me? 3 turns after confederating and I still have a -40 for it with all HE factions.

Good to hear. Sounds like a bug with the game itself and not something I could really do in the mod itself. The mod only alters a single table to be as lightweight as possible.

Much needed mod, on a HE campaign and just confederated at turn 85 then noticed my relations with all HE factions declining. What a stupid, senseless system to have implemented, it makes no sense whatsoever, just like aversion between HE factions, niether are even loreful. Anyway I read below and have also installed this during a cooldown so will report back with any issues.

I will look into it tomorrow but it may indeed be a bug that happens if you subscribe to the mod while already on a cooldown, though that shouldn't matter. Please report back if you end up being able to confed again.

I shall have to try waiting even longer, and there just isn't the option, same as if you has just confeded with another faction and go into diplomacy with another faction.

@Professor Farnsworth: Out of curiosity, have you waited 5 turns since your last confederation? Does it not allow the option to confederate or does the AI just not accept?

For some reason this broke my abilty to confederate in my high elf campaign, I think installing it during a confed cooldown was a bad idea.
