had a good run cut the dynamic brakes as soon as i started to roll then no problems

The brakes take a little time to kick in in the beginning. I learned some brakes its better just not to release them as long as you can throttle up.

Let me be truthful... first time when i started this scenario i immediately tripped the PCS as the train started moving even with train brakes on.. reset the PCS and then went on my way.. immediately couldnt control the speed and overshot the limit by a mile or so.. not satisfied i restarted the scenario.. the next time was good run and controlled all the way.. just at Rio the final stop, jumped the signal by about 2 metres before coming to a stop... the signal was green, so technically didnt break any rules... :steammocking:

Thank´s a lot for his next scenario in this great serie! I had no problem with the brakes....E-break goes well!!

Hmmm, never had that happen. Maybe try clearing the cache from the TOOLS menu. Also save before that point. sometimes just a restart will fix it.

Maybe I am doing something wrong but when I try to reverse and drop off the loco and two boxcars I can't get the consist to backup. Full throttle and still slipping down the hill.

Very well done! Love it. I played the brakes on 2/3rd real. And it was still a challenge. And I rode the dynamic brakes all the way if possible!

Always look for sales, best time to pick up DLC.

I've really enjoyed parts 1-6 and now I'm teetering on the edge of a full price purchase of the SD9 for part 7. I don't know about anyone else, but It's wierd how after so long in the cab of one engine with all those instructions and shunts etc over the chain of scenarios, you sort of get a sense of 'bonding' with it and learn it's foibles. Thanks for sharing these. Chris (UK Based, but have filmed and photographed US trains)
RBJets  [author] 8 Mar, 2018 @ 1:10pm
Yes, it just takes a little time for it to kick in. Thanks Chris.

Another great run. Enjoying using the dynamic brake to control the speed on the downgrades.
RBJets  [author] 22 Nov, 2017 @ 1:15pm
Warren, SD9 is on sale for $10, you will need it for the " Yard Work (Provo) " and Part 7....
RBJets  [author] 22 Nov, 2017 @ 3:24am
Cool, yes sale should be coming.
wadawes 21 Nov, 2017 @ 9:09pm
Ah, slight problem for me with that one. I don't have the SD9 yet, have to wait for it to come on sale (maybe over Xmas). Cheers, Warren
RBJets  [author] 21 Nov, 2017 @ 2:46pm
Thanks Warren, let me know how your run in Part 7 goes..
wadawes 21 Nov, 2017 @ 2:33pm

Just finished part 6 SS. It was a 'bugger' to make the stop on the grade, but finally did. Thanks for your work on this series. .
RBJets  [author] 9 Oct, 2017 @ 12:25pm
Yea, driving the B&O Kingwood Branch will help you master the Dynamic Brake. Thanks Rammy
Rammy 9 Oct, 2017 @ 12:22pm
Very Good Run after keep an eye on those Brakes. Thanks.
RBJets  [author] 6 Oct, 2017 @ 3:39pm

RBJets  [author] 2 Oct, 2017 @ 8:28am
Just started it...day or 2.
Robbie 2 Oct, 2017 @ 5:11am
so how is Marias Pass coming along
RBJets  [author] 1 Oct, 2017 @ 9:05pm
I'd do those with a handcar! :)
Robbie 1 Oct, 2017 @ 8:34pm
then you go to Europe they have hills that can be up to 12%
RBJets  [author] 1 Oct, 2017 @ 7:44pm
Stevens Pass has an 5%. :)
Robbie 1 Oct, 2017 @ 6:44pm
i know but i think cajon pass takes the cake for the steepest grade the 3% grade
RBJets  [author] 1 Oct, 2017 @ 6:33pm
Yeah, just have to time it when to release it. The B&O Branch route is a really good way to learn Dynamic Braking.
Robbie 1 Oct, 2017 @ 5:17pm
nice job again but its to bad that you can't be in notch 1 while using dynamic braking
