Looks like the mod isn't working on 1.46, on my Volvo the dash is from the stock SCS model.

The mod's finally updated for 1.44 and 1.45. Life's caught up so it took a while...

It's a shame because it's probably the best dashboard mod for the Volvo 2009 :(
Schumi is using a similar dashboard for his Volvo but not with the dark background, and it's encrypted anyway.

This mod works great! Just SCS have still lots of adjustments to do.

Yes I know what the automat files do. They define the attributes for the selected shader that is used on a texture, and is created when the model is exported. I avoid changing the default values as much as I can, and only do the necessary brightness adjustments on the modified textures that I use.

Not sure if that can help but I thought I would pass it on. I don't know if you ever looked under the automat folder from the game but there is a huge number of files there!

By poking around, I also found in one of piva's mod that the values for some objects under automat were very different. I use one of piva's mod in my Scania. The dashboard was working fine but was too bright during the night and too dark during the day. Same was happening with the integrated GPS screen. After looking around, I found some definition files under the automat folder that seems to specify physical attributes of objects, like shininess and reflection. I was able to locate a similar file from the base.scs. After I updated the values in the mod with the valiues from the game, now the dashboard always has the right brightness. There was a separate file for the GPS screen and I was able to locate one from the game. After updating the values in that file (typically made by a large number with the .mat extension), now the GPS screen has a correct brightness. You can still adjust the brightness with the slider when you modify the lights.

Yeah that's the adaptive brightness the game uses now for the interior camera. That's not something I can change. I can only adjust the general brightness of my mod if it's significantly different from the surrounding textures.

I'm not sure if it's just me but it seems the dashboard brightness is influenced by the nearby light sources, e.g. if there is a bright light source near, the dashboard seems to get darker, if it's dark around, it gets a bit lighter. Maybe it's just me...

Hi. The brightness should decrease. When the indicator decreases the brightness, The other lights disappear.

It's brighter because I had to compensate for the new default dashboard brightness setting, which is something like 80%

After extracting the base.scs, I did notice some differences in the background color of the dashboard which seems to make it brighter under 1.40.

It probably is, and anyway that green is definitely due to some colour shift in the reference photos used. This white on black is definitely more realistic and easier to the eyes.
