You're right! There was a conflict with Show speed in Construction view. I didn't expect that mod to change the buildings file too. Now it's working

Only if it doesn't modify the affected files. Weapon equipment likely isn't due to era difference, but buildings might since they are more generalizable.

There is actually. Making a submod using the dependencies function (dependencies = { "Major Mod" "Major Mod 2" }) for requiring both mods makes list priority for them not important and overwrites the files both mods do. So a submod making both changes in the 00_buildings.txt file could overwrite both mods reliably. Allowing for what you'd want. It being on the workshop would also mean it's just as easy to get and enable. The only downside is it would need to be done for every mod pair that has conflict.

It finally became clear that mods that increased building slots were not compatible with mods that reduced building costs

My only conclusion is that it didn't change the "max_level =" in the 00_buildings.txt file before that. This is what I can tell you, only one mod can overwrite a base game file at a time. If more then one does, then the one with higher priority in the order list is the one that overwrites. The others are ignored. In this case, his mod gets priority since it starts with a E in it's name instead of an L like this one.

You can combine the file changes both mods make into one file that overwrites, you'd just need to know what mod does what so you can properly combine them. In this case, taking this mod and adding the changes from the other one would likely be the more painless one as you just need to change the "max_level =" from 24 to 56.

Looked into that mod specifically for you and it indeed does modify the 00_buildings.txt files, so it is a likely culprit for this mod not working. It changes the "max_level =" line for buildings from 24 to 56. Although a simple change, it modifying the same file means they conflict and it likely overwrites the changes this mod makes. Hope this helps.

I've been using the same pack of mods for a very long time. Your naval and construction mods have been included and still everything worked fine. The only mod that could've influenced it is a mod for 56 constr slots https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=700308938
There are no other mods which would affect any aspect of building in the game in my playlist.

Two questions that might help. Does anyone have mods that potentially change buildings such as overhaul mods, which would conflict with this mod. Have you tried the direct link while not subbed to this mod. Being subbed and using the direct link can cause issues. Don't forget, if you do continue to try the workshop, to try reloading mods and clearing cache in the launcher. While unlikely, it could help.
