I think this is in the base game now... at least i didnt use the mod and made 4 ark-designs

To players using Vodyani Rework by Aitarus: this mod does not function if loaded before Vodyani Rework. Make sure to load Vodyani Rework BEFORE Multiple Ark Designs.

Im getting a similar problem to Pan'Dal. only its Quadrinix that I need to upgrade my default ark design. The essence and science are the only 2 modules on it. It is missing the Armor, engine and missile modules that Vanilla starts with.

as for the upgrades, havent got that far into a game yet, seems after moving my starting Ark i can get it to 3 pop. The essence is spent but no 3rd pop is displayed or calculated into FIDS.

also it seems that the hull upgrades you get thru research dont effect the arks

so i started a new game with this and the default ark design costs one hyperium and is completly blank save for two ark modules

@jaglister - not to badmouth others or anything, but I wouldnt worry about LickaSto!! too much, he's commented similar things on a ton of other mods. Mod works fine for me and is a very good addition to the game, props to you.

If anyone has any problems with any of my very simple mods, please let me know. Problems I think may happen if 2 mods have changed the same files. It could either be fixed by changing the mod load order, or if I know what other mods are used, I can investigate what files the other mods have changed, and come up with a solution for you.
My mods are very simple, just a few lines of code changed. Nothing very fancy or hard at all. Happy to help anyone out. Please keep in mind the factors of real life commitments. Gaming just a hobby when I have time.

Battlestar Gallactica Ark but yeah Deathstar too since they kinda look the same. Wish you could change the color scheme on the ships too. I know some mods offer that already with the hero ships. Awesome mod btw.

Thinking about this mod, if people are interested, I think I can do a 'starwarsy' kind of 'Deathstar' Ark with extra bomber and fighter modules. Maybe have the extra modules costing you on the more higher tiered strategic resources? You would lose out on the guns you could have on that Ark, (unless you don't want that) but that just means you would have to have the rest of your fleet as good back up for them. Not sure how it balances out game wise, could be overpowered, but sounds cool anyway. Open for suggestions and any input, as I am still learning how to mod. Cheers to all using the mod!

Yeah, I had a lotta fun taking Arks down with a half decent fleet. Their stats might show them as being quite powerful, but they don't have many guns, so if your fleet can get a lot of shots off you can take them down pretty well. A little bit different now that they only use 4cp instead of 8. They now can be used reasonably well as part of an attacking fleet, if you can spare them. I suspect bombers now might be a good counter for them as well, depending on how any final balancing goes.

@Deadcurze: Arks can engage in Battle if you let em join another fleet and attack then afterwards ;) And i don't think its OP, absolutely not. Early on it might seem so, but as soon as the enemies learn how to actually fight (or better, how to research reasonable weapons xD) they are pretty fragile. I've always seen them as a kind of glass cannon and took down many of them when playing other races...

I love the thought of multiple ark designs, but I'm pretty sure arks can't actually engage enemy fleets (enemy fleets can engage them though, but it's usually suicide.).

Only as powerful as the modules you have researched. The mod is meant to save the hassle of mistakenly retrofitting an Ark to a design you didn't mean to and wasting the resources you had used. Useful if you know you want to keep the next ark you build in a fleet and not for colonising.
