It works with all DLC and a heap of mods. GREAT mod. Finally I can bunker down with my religion "String Theory".

@Mizati : I noticed the same problem. But I think that Crater Raider's mod simply prevent units to cross the border but does not change IA behaviour. Such a mod would be much more complicated to code.

As much as I like the idea of this mod, it causes some problems. The AI doesn't seem to understand that the borders for religious units are closed, which results in them just lining your borders with missionaries and apostles

Looks like the merge with my changes messed stuff up a bit. For now, I reverted back to the previous version which should be compatible again. Sorry for the trouble!

This doesn't seem to work for me. I don't really have many mods, so i'm not really sure why. Nothing else i use comes close to even talking about borders, let alone altering them. Any thoughts?

Says it's save game compatible but my closed borders are not stopping Jadwiga from doing a Jehovah's Witness impression.

Suscribed. I have used this mod before and also a similar in Civ 5, one thing that I don't know if has (or can) be fixed is this. The mod works fine as long as you keep closed borders. However, if you EVER give them open borders, their religious units will continue to enter your territory even after the borders are closed again.

In my games, religious units can't enter my territory, but if my territory expands to include a tile they are on, they seem to just sit there. If they are in the water I can't figure a way to even fight them to get rid of them, but I'm new at this game, for what that's worth.

Really strange. We tested it in different games without any other mods but ok, nice to hear that. I dont see what causes this different results.

works just fine...maybe it conflicts with other mods? but atm..religious units can't enter my territory..not even CS's.

Maybe the AI some times gets confuse by this Alliance deal, when it comes to this mod?
For me as well, I haven't had any AI religious units inside my boarders, with out Open Boarder or Alliance.

It... seems to be working fine in GS? At least so far; am 170 turns into a historic game, and haven't had any missionaries enter my borders from AIs that I haven't given open borders to; they chill right outside borders, unable to enter.

It's a bad day to tell you... There is actually no working way to keep the KI's religious units out of your territory... ASAP if there is a working way... I will implement it! It's a bad day for Civ6 Enthusiasts like you and me... Hope there will be better days...

Hey @SwissPidi the way they are still able to give religion is when a corner is available of the city center. They can still spread the religion, I really want this to work, my games would be much better if it worked. Thanks for your efforts, this is one important mod to me. :steamhappy:

The AI can still give you religion, no idea how but I hope the mod author finds the issue. I want religion left on, when this is not working right I turn it off.
Religion is far to important in civ6, it should be a minor thing not major.

For some odd reason religious units are spreading religion without open borders. I was behind on religion and 3 civs were just going to town giving all my cities varies religions without a thing I could do. I was ahead but I quit due to the amount of units all over my land. Ignoring closed borders.

I can send you the save if you wish just let me know. The only thing I dislike in civ6 is the dumb methods of religion. There should not be fighting religion units at all. Dumb concept IMO it just screws up the good strategy game that civ was.. if your mod does not fix it I am done trying to enjoy this game.. :steamhappy:

Yeah this isn't working. I just had apostles walk into borders and I don't have open borders with him.
