Just for you, I'm going to make a smaller-scope, speed mapped spiritual sequel to this. It's not going to be as good, it's not going to be as refined, but hopefully I can maybe finish it without losing the files this time. Keep an eye on this space! :cozycsgoctwhite:

I really appreciate the decompile for me! Once Ive finished my thesis, I'll have a look at my file, clean up anything that's missing, and try to finish it! Keep tuned for it!

it doesn't compile properly, I believe it's because of a cubemap or something, I could have fixed it but I didn't feel like messing with anything

There were some custom models and textures in it; Not many at all.
But sure, I should be able to decompile it, and I might even end up doing that to get a basis back, but I might end up starting again from scratch, not sure yet!

btw, I heard u lost the vmf for this bc of ur linux partition, couldn't u just use something like BSPsource to decompile the map?

It is not possible to change weapon stats for CS:GO maps
It is possible with full-overhaul mods but that is a pretty complicated process and not possible over the workshop :)

Dude, talk about flattering.
The summer is coming up soon which will mean I have more free time.
Maybe during that time I can make a remake of this map for people like you who truly brighten up my day with your kind words.

man, this map is still probably the most fun i've ever had on a cp map, ah the memories. on 3kliks servers the matches would last for hours, the eternal struggle for control of the church, I remember one time we were getting completelly stomped on because there were two ct's with negevs on top of the church, my teammates dying all around me, it seemed like we were done for. but then some of us managed to sneak past and we planned a takeover, as we were silently scaling the church we could hear the gunfire right above us, as we got to the ladder leading up to the negev room we all looked at each other like "are we really going to do this?" I slowly climbed the ladder up to the negev room and boom, I was staring right at them as they were shooting down my teammates, BLAM! BLAM! and just like that I had turned the tides of the game for the rest of the round. I felt like a hero. No other map, in fact no other game has ever given me the same atmosphere and moments that this one has.

@Cyka Blyat I'd have to start Vscripting to add effects such as those and even then, Im not sure how well it'd work :/
@geck I'd need custom models and right now I don't really have the time to make them myself; also they didnt really have them in WW 1 so not sure how well it'd fit the theme

When I get closer to finalizing everything I might make a scout-only version for those who want it, but unfortunately the gameplay gets pretty stagnent with no pushing when it's included as the default, and bots simply don't move, choosing only to snipe. :)

Amazing map, I love how the bots act when given a shit load of grenades, and i think, even with other players, you get the feeling that you are helping by pushing the objective, and every kill counts. Keep it up!

@ OriioN the last update actually destroyed most of the navmesh and caused a bucket-load of issues, Just put out an update making bots able to use all the ladders and stairs again :)

I found playing with bots was impossible, ladders seemed to confuse them so much they couldn't even get out of spawn, would consider getting rid of them

You are making some good progress on looks and I love the only shotgun rule. Iam looking forward to play the finished map someday! Its a shame that this doesn`t get as much attention as all those lame aim maps.

Im aware of a lot of nav issues, clipping issues, and non-joined displacement issues with the recent update, but I wanted to push it out just so you guys know I'm still updating! ^^

@gladius There is actually a community server that plays this pretty regularly :)
Check 3kliksphilip.com/servers to see when its being played ^^
If I had a private server it'd be 24/7 trenches whilst I bugfix and update it but alas :steamsalty:

I like it, the idea of an open map with trenches without it being completely dominated with snipers but still having an option for dealing with ranged opponents. it's almost like the sawed off was made for something like this! I wish there was some public community servers running this to test with other people.

It doesn't but making all the displacement non-physical and replacing it with invisible flat clip brushes fixed it ^^

Wonderful, that bug is actually on the "to-fix" list
I'm not 100% sure why that happens but almost certainly has to do with weird interaction with displacements and bots :nyanmel:
