It should be 100% compatible with all future patches. This changes nothing of the core game files, and relies only on basic script commands from versions wayyy before the current version.
@everyone
Development will stop on this with the announcement of CK3. I will be considering how to best port the stuff across, as well as reflect on what did or did not work in this mod.
If PDX want rulers to die from stress and depression they should either make more ways to get rid of it, or they should fix the ways you can get it, so you OR AI won't die from it so frequently.
Yes, it will be compatible with ANY version of CK2 after 2.8.x. It does not modify any base game files, or use scripting features newer than that.
Yeah, the stress and depression problems in 3.0+ can get to be a bit much. I still don't get why as a Cruel, Impaler ruler, I would be getting PTSD about wrecking the homes of a few thousand cannon fodder-- I mean, Frisians, as I raid my way down the North Sea coast.
Because i think this is a must have mod to resolve this fucking stress and depression problems, i.e. dying because of it
Valid targets for seduction are:
- Not married to your character.
- Characters with the correct gender for your character's preference. E.g. If your character is a homosexual male, seducing females is not possible. As an added thing, seduction in CK2 without CK2+ is limited to having BOTH sides with the correct gender preference.
As a sidenote, please check the fertility rating of both sides.
M/M marriages are in the works, but I'm finding it very hard to find time to actually work on it.
Secondaries / concubinage I haven't looked into, but I fear that they may be hardcoded to tie in with religion. In which case, it would be hard to make it work with any other mods that modify the base religions (CK2+, etc. come to mind)
Currently, homosexual marriages are limited to F/F as the majority of M/M events are not written yet. They both require the Homosexual trait, and neither must have [Zealous, Chaste, Celibate, Incapable]. If all these conditions are satisfied, lovers might trigger the event to marry automatically - but you might also right-click on the intended lover and there should be a decision there (primarily for debugging purposes, but can be used to force a F/F marriage).
Try seeing if all those conditions are met. If they are and it still doesn't work, please post screenshots.
No set schedule at this time. I've recently moved to a different state, and am still getting settled in.
Have you checked the game option to enable it at the start of the game? Is your character or lover Zealous? These can prevent the event from firing.
Inviting to court should solve it. Just letting you know I've figured out what was going on.
There are known issues with the marriage decision's conditions. It should only be enabled (and shown) when neither person is Zealous, Chaste, Celibate. IIRC right now it doesn't check for Chaste/Zealous, which should be fixed in the upcoming update.
Mind, I am having some difficulties in getting the marriage decision to fire. It appears, but only occasionally does clicking the decision make it trigger. I have tried unchecking and checking other mods, but it seems to operate a bit randomly on that. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't...
Does the honourable creator or any other user have experiences with this or know what might be causing it?
Thanks for the appreciation.
@Everyone
There will be an upcoming overhaul on how the F/F pregnancy events will be evaluated. Simply put, they're firing too often and have a few unresolvable bugs regarding what happens if two female rulers are married (one side is not checked for whether it actually started the F/F pregnancy event chain, thus resulting in unwanted pregnancies).
This is mostly a problem because F/F is treated as a normal marriage; i.e. the parent that did NOT give birth to the child is considered the 'father', and thus the dynastic parent. You can end up with a child that is not of your dynasty very easily in this way, if you married a ruler.
These events do fire for AI rulers too, yes.
Great mod though, I played my share of it and keep on checking what's new when I finally come back to ck2 ;3
