abandoned?
Andruș 8 Sep, 2020 @ 1:47am
Hopefully yes.
Fox with a Shotgun  [author] 4 Sep, 2020 @ 6:09am
Possibly. I'm waiting for CK3 to settle down first before starting it. There's a good chance that many of the features are already baked into the game, so it'll likely be just the events.
Andruș 4 Sep, 2020 @ 3:52am
Can you create a CK3 version of it too?
TurtleShroom 18 Feb, 2020 @ 9:26am
Got it. Thank you for letting me know!
Fox with a Shotgun  [author] 16 Feb, 2020 @ 2:36pm
@TurtleShroom There is a switch for it in game settings before you start a game. By default it is off.
TurtleShroom 16 Feb, 2020 @ 11:48am
Is there a version of this without homosexual marriage? That is too insanely immersion breaking for me, especially if I choose to play as a Christian.
The Dark Emperor 16 Feb, 2020 @ 6:53am
@Fox with a Shotgun Cool
Fox with a Shotgun  [author] 14 Feb, 2020 @ 11:57pm
No. With the arrival of CK3, I'm working on other things at the moment.
The Dark Emperor 14 Feb, 2020 @ 11:22am
Was Male Homosexual put into this mod yet?
Fox with a Shotgun  [author] 8 Jan, 2020 @ 1:24am
That too, lol. I'm waiting for CK3 so I can learn to mod it and port this mod across.
Polka 8 Jan, 2020 @ 1:11am
I don't think there are any ck2 patches coming.
Fox with a Shotgun  [author] 8 Jan, 2020 @ 12:42am
@Strozzapreti

It should be 100% compatible with all future patches. This changes nothing of the core game files, and relies only on basic script commands from versions wayyy before the current version.
lelele 7 Jan, 2020 @ 5:37pm
Will this be compatible with future CK2 patches or would it be best to remove it?
Fox with a Shotgun  [author] 9 Nov, 2019 @ 3:48pm
@StrayDogFreedom Thank you! It's good to hear that people are enjoying the use of this mod.

@everyone
Development will stop on this with the announcement of CK3. I will be considering how to best port the stuff across, as well as reflect on what did or did not work in this mod.
StrayDogFreedom 9 Nov, 2019 @ 3:23pm
yet another mod i've used so long i forgot it wasn't part of the based game. just saying thanks!
......... 30 Mar, 2019 @ 5:49pm
Yes! This fucking event is especially annoying(if i got which one you meant xD)! If there is no mod fixing it, maybe i'll make it, because this is not allright when you can get depression THAT easily(just if your ruler was in command of an army during the battle) and DIE from it actually, and there is almost no way to get rid of it!
If PDX want rulers to die from stress and depression they should either make more ways to get rid of it, or they should fix the ways you can get it, so you OR AI won't die from it so frequently.
Fox with a Shotgun  [author] 30 Mar, 2019 @ 5:06pm
@....... (did I get the number of dots right)?

Yes, it will be compatible with ANY version of CK2 after 2.8.x. It does not modify any base game files, or use scripting features newer than that.

Yeah, the stress and depression problems in 3.0+ can get to be a bit much. I still don't get why as a Cruel, Impaler ruler, I would be getting PTSD about wrecking the homes of a few thousand cannon fodder-- I mean, Frisians, as I raid my way down the North Sea coast.
......... 30 Mar, 2019 @ 10:42am
Is this mod compatible with 3.0+ ?
Because i think this is a must have mod to resolve this fucking stress and depression problems, i.e. dying because of it
Fox with a Shotgun  [author] 23 Nov, 2018 @ 4:27am
@Corsair If you're already married to a character, you can't seduce them.

Valid targets for seduction are:
- Not married to your character.
- Characters with the correct gender for your character's preference. E.g. If your character is a homosexual male, seducing females is not possible. As an added thing, seduction in CK2 without CK2+ is limited to having BOTH sides with the correct gender preference.

As a sidenote, please check the fertility rating of both sides.
Corsair 23 Nov, 2018 @ 3:44am
I was petty king of Wessex at the 769 start. started from age 16 custom leader once around age 24 I noticed my genuis lesbian wife wasn't producing heirs, so switched to seduction. The character had no chaste traits, was a memeber of the hermetic society. I checked every courtier in my court and was unable to select them, no close-kin selection. I am running with every dlc, I hope that assists.
Fox with a Shotgun  [author] 22 Nov, 2018 @ 11:26pm
@Corsair Could you also describe the specific conditions that you noticed this under? Currently, I can think of one particular situation that won't work as the mod currently stands; close-kin seduction with Holy Fury after reformation.
Fox with a Shotgun  [author] 22 Nov, 2018 @ 11:25pm
@Corsair I'll need to check this. Thanks for reporting it!
Corsair 19 Nov, 2018 @ 11:51am
FYI seduction targeting is disabled on characters diplomacy screens when you have seduction set as a focus.
truelove101992 16 Oct, 2018 @ 1:04pm
Fair enough, thank you for the response
Fox with a Shotgun  [author] 16 Oct, 2018 @ 2:10am
@truelove101992

M/M marriages are in the works, but I'm finding it very hard to find time to actually work on it.

Secondaries / concubinage I haven't looked into, but I fear that they may be hardcoded to tie in with religion. In which case, it would be hard to make it work with any other mods that modify the base religions (CK2+, etc. come to mind)
truelove101992 14 Oct, 2018 @ 2:05pm
Updated for M/M marriages yet? Also, does this add secondary husbands as well then (and if so, could you make it available for Christians as well, which should probably be a feature that should be able to be enabled/disbled)?
Fox with a Shotgun  [author] 30 Jul, 2018 @ 2:44am
@Virsia No, breeding chance is influenced mostly by number of children, fertility and family focus.
Virsia 29 Jul, 2018 @ 10:58pm
do high opinion has anything to do with breeding chance because I have 3 twins so far.... yes meaning 6 children at each other throat... later on.
TheAnomaly 30 May, 2018 @ 1:21am
Never mind event just fired, thanks for help. Had to kill off several prospecting husbands before my wife would send the event but it all worked out
Fox with a Shotgun  [author] 29 May, 2018 @ 3:18pm
@TheAnomaly

Currently, homosexual marriages are limited to F/F as the majority of M/M events are not written yet. They both require the Homosexual trait, and neither must have [Zealous, Chaste, Celibate, Incapable]. If all these conditions are satisfied, lovers might trigger the event to marry automatically - but you might also right-click on the intended lover and there should be a decision there (primarily for debugging purposes, but can be used to force a F/F marriage).

Try seeing if all those conditions are met. If they are and it still doesn't work, please post screenshots.
TheAnomaly 29 May, 2018 @ 6:25am
My character isn't any of the offening traits (zealous Chaste or celibrate), nor is my lover. And the game rules are set to allow homosexual marriages, is this a bug?
Fox with a Shotgun  [author] 21 May, 2018 @ 2:58am
@[RoC] Erwin

No set schedule at this time. I've recently moved to a different state, and am still getting settled in.
Rustic Clover 20 May, 2018 @ 1:45pm
When do you think we'll be getting the funeral obituaries and post spouse death events?
Von Kwiecinski 23 Apr, 2018 @ 8:01am
oh yeah they were zealous i fixed it now ths for replying
Fox with a Shotgun  [author] 23 Apr, 2018 @ 2:00am
@DayDreamz

Have you checked the game option to enable it at the start of the game? Is your character or lover Zealous? These can prevent the event from firing.
Von Kwiecinski 16 Apr, 2018 @ 9:18am
It dosent seem to work for me (The female homosexual marriage)
Solitude 4 Apr, 2018 @ 8:19pm
This mod certainly adds quite a bit of flavor. I love it.
Fox with a Shotgun  [author] 8 Mar, 2018 @ 3:40pm
Update 0.4.0. Check changelist for summary.
JV-of-the-Dell 5 Mar, 2018 @ 4:54pm
Alright, update. I figured out what is wrong. Decision is enabled but does not trigger if lover is not in the same realm, possibly if not in same court.

Inviting to court should solve it. Just letting you know I've figured out what was going on.
Fox with a Shotgun  [author] 5 Mar, 2018 @ 6:12am
@TosshinTaira

There are known issues with the marriage decision's conditions. It should only be enabled (and shown) when neither person is Zealous, Chaste, Celibate. IIRC right now it doesn't check for Chaste/Zealous, which should be fixed in the upcoming update.
Polka 5 Mar, 2018 @ 5:36am
Add pictures pls
JV-of-the-Dell 5 Mar, 2018 @ 5:35am
Hrm... I still do really like this.

Mind, I am having some difficulties in getting the marriage decision to fire. It appears, but only occasionally does clicking the decision make it trigger. I have tried unchecking and checking other mods, but it seems to operate a bit randomly on that. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't...

Does the honourable creator or any other user have experiences with this or know what might be causing it?
Fox with a Shotgun  [author] 28 Feb, 2018 @ 2:01am
@TosshinTaira

Thanks for the appreciation.

@Everyone

There will be an upcoming overhaul on how the F/F pregnancy events will be evaluated. Simply put, they're firing too often and have a few unresolvable bugs regarding what happens if two female rulers are married (one side is not checked for whether it actually started the F/F pregnancy event chain, thus resulting in unwanted pregnancies).

This is mostly a problem because F/F is treated as a normal marriage; i.e. the parent that did NOT give birth to the child is considered the 'father', and thus the dynastic parent. You can end up with a child that is not of your dynasty very easily in this way, if you married a ruler.
JV-of-the-Dell 27 Feb, 2018 @ 2:25pm
Well, this was hidden deep in the well of Mods, but very pleased to have found it. Hoping others will find it and like it too, really good idea, good sir.
DogeontheMoon 17 Dec, 2017 @ 3:32pm
For a reason i'm not able to download the mod, i had to reinstall and now it doesnt appear anymore
ambi 10 Dec, 2017 @ 2:59am
Thanks!
Fox with a Shotgun  [author] 9 Dec, 2017 @ 7:55pm
@klacoste

These events do fire for AI rulers too, yes.
ambi 9 Dec, 2017 @ 8:36am
Do these events fire for the AI rulers as well? If it doesn't, it kinda feels like cheating.
Polka 5 Dec, 2017 @ 10:49pm
Keep on trying bro, alternatively if it fails again change the title to like Soulmates: Marriage Improvements or something because soulmates on its own is easy to miss ;D
Great mod though, I played my share of it and keep on checking what's new when I finally come back to ck2 ;3
