Thanks for playing and commenting skosh! I'm not sure I understand the shortcut you took. I'm also not sure I still have the map file so I think I will leave it as is. Cheers!

Fabulous, challenging map. Took a long time and in the end I had to sin. Should know by now that there are no unnecessary features in your maps, and I missed an obvious one. Took a shortcut to the exit a reflector, slightly tilted, will shine the laser beam up through the floor .

Great job solving it! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the video!

The really interesting thing about the unintended move is that the portal gun does exactly the opposite of what @Sariiger intended. The blue funnel is not extended because it is delayed, but fired.
Libbybapa  [author] 20 Nov, 2020 @ 2:10pm
Without the light strip on that lower portal surface, it is possible to keep shooting the edge of that portal surface when you are into the area leading to the second cube dropper. The 'ditch' under that portal surface has nothing to do with the sphere but rather because there is a minor shortcut that can be performed by placing a reflective cube right in front of that surface. Interesting and creative alternative for getting the second cube! I'll patch that when I get a chance. Thanks for playing!

The difference to the original in terms of elaboration and design is fascinating. A very good example of what is possible with BEE. And you're a perfectionist with a lot of love for details. Wonderful lighting! The map can also be played better, you don't feel so cramped. The puzzles remained very challenging, @Sariiger did an excellent job! Since I just played the original, the playthrough was not that difficult for me, except of course the end. Took a while to figure it out. Very good idea. The original was missing that. What I don't quite understand is the through under the portal area next to the funnel. You don't have to go there with the sphere. And why is there a strip of light placed on it? I also found an unintended way to get the second cube. It's not better than the right way, but it's possible: https://youtu.be/jSRzNn2R6tU All in all an outstanding remake, added to my favorites!

Thanks Aneonen! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Great puzzle! The portal stands were used very well, and I liked the double blue portal stand move. That last move sequence was really killer - I kept asking myself why are these stairs portalable? Why is this floor in the room above portalable? Why does the death fizzler only cover one tile of height? How could I possibly get back to the central area without fizzling the sphere? and yet it still took me ages to see what I needed to do. After screwing up the jump once, I was able to get to the exit - great work.

Thanks Teo, creating this layout was an interesting project. Glad you enjoyed it!
Teo 2 Sep, 2020 @ 3:21pm
Really cool stuff! Those moves after reaching the sphere area took me the longest to see, but after that, everything fell into place quite smoothly. Simplifying the original's layout to be as concise and understandable as it is now must not have been an easy task; thanks for creating!
Libbybapa  [author] 25 Aug, 2020 @ 5:11pm
Excellent job on it! I've actually updated the geometry of that vertical laser room multiple times to make the final moves less obscure. :-P I enjoyed your video very much. Thanks for playing!
camerson1313 25 Aug, 2020 @ 3:10pm
Not as difficult as we were anticipating (thankfully), but still an amazing portal gun map. The symmetry in the main room looked cool also nice "purple" lighting . That last sequence of steps could have easily taken another hour to see were we a less experienced player. I like how the geometry is placed to obfuscate the move as much as possible . Excellent job solving it Dark Rozen! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

That test is one of the best maps so far. I think the timing aspect of it puts a nice touch on it.
Libbybapa  [author] 21 Mar, 2020 @ 7:07pm
The ditch is actually there to prevent the player from pre-placing a cube at that surface bypassing one small step. It actually has nothing to do with the sphere. :) Although you over-complicated it a bit, I really liked your sequence for getting the sphere to the sphere button ! Great job working that out! Thanks for the playing, commenting and posting the vid!

I'm done! Very fantastic puzzle! I originally thought that the ditch was a reminder(maybe keep a sphere) but it didn't seem to be used, had no ideas what should it work, anyway the funnel area was a magical place, which perfectly connects the upper and lower parts, and a gun.:BITRAY_CrazyCube: It's a great work that such a complicated design would not be trapped.Btw I have to say that combining the two portalguns is a difficult point and requires very deep consideration.Thumbs up for this creation! I watched the playthrough after my finishing mine, except for many extra steps, everything else is the same! YEAH!:GhostG:

Updated to fix that shortcut. It was an easy fix. Thanks Spacekitten97!
Libbybapa  [author] 27 Dec, 2019 @ 8:35am
I see. Yes, that is a mistake that I introduce on the last edits. :( I really like that sequence you missed as it really ties in the logic of both portalguns. Regardless, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for playing!

Alright, I decided to watch the walkthrough because I was just way too curious about the intended solution :P. It turns out, I did the part at 3:52 in your walkthrough a little differently. First, I got the sphere and put it on the sphere button in the starting area. Then, I went back to the sphere room and from there I shot a portal into the room where the portal gun is on the ceiling. Then I respawned the sphere. Doing this got me in the exact same position shown at 4:39 in the walkthrough. The rest I did intended. Personally, I like my solution a little better, as it uses less elements which makes it in my opinion a little more elegant. Either way, this is an excellent map with lots of creative and interesting ideas. It took me quite a while to solve. Thumbs up and favorited.
SpKi 27 Dec, 2019 @ 6:26am
Okay, Im a bit confused. I managed to get to the end without having to use the portal gun in the upper area which is hanging from the ceiling, aswell as not having to use the button in the room with the sphere dropper, which activates the catapult and the fizzler. I didn't do any ninja moves or crazy laser angles or stuff like that... if you're interested I can record a video of my solution.
Libbybapa  [author] 11 Jul, 2019 @ 11:03pm
Yes, the rest of the map is with the use of the dual portal device although both pedestal portalguns are also functional as well. From that point on the map gets considerably more challenging. There is a walkthrough posted although it is much more enjoyable to solve than to watch the walkthrough. I'm also available to give hints if you get stuck and prefer that. Thanks for playing.
_galaxy 11 Jul, 2019 @ 10:50pm
Oh so I was supposed to grab the portal gun there? Uh, interesting... I thought that I was just stuck at that point. I'll try again and see what I am supposed to do after that point.
Libbybapa  [author] 11 Jul, 2019 @ 10:46pm
What you show in both dems is fine although there is a better angle (less glitchy) to use for the laser through the portal. What seems to be the problem?

This map just got a significant update including the elimination of a potential shortcut.
Libbybapa  [author] 12 May, 2019 @ 8:55am
Thanks Narkodes. Great work getting through all of them. Yes, this one is a very unique map. The concept by Sariiger is very creative. Thanks for playing!
Narkodes 12 May, 2019 @ 8:32am
Now I've finished all your maps! This is one of the best, it was a blast. Very different from common portal chambers, since the main element is rarely used. Thanks for creating.
Requiemsoul 1 Oct, 2018 @ 10:29am
Thanks mate, well i jump from the pedestal button but maybe it is no necessary. You have to change the orientation of the white panels next to purple barrier. They can not be located in front of the staircase. ( as you can see.. my english now is perfect haha).
Libbybapa  [author] 1 Oct, 2018 @ 8:14am
Hey Requiemsoul, good to see you! Thanks for playing. Hmmm, jumping from the pedestal button is not intended. I didn't think it gave enough height to be helpful. I'll have to look at that and make an update to the map when I get a chance. Anyway, glad you enjoyed the map. :)
Requiemsoul 30 Sep, 2018 @ 2:20pm
I thought: " this concept is not very creative" and then... when you grab the second portal pistol gun...WOW every task was amazing. My favorite section was the second reflector cube with a very interesting timed-run and the sphere was also very nice. The ending was weird.. I thought i did some unintended becouse my maneuver was a bit ninja hehe!. I jump from the pedestal button is it right?. Anyway, a superb work. Favorited.
Libbybapa  [author] 31 Aug, 2018 @ 11:56am
Awesome! Glad you liked it. I bumped the difficulty up to 8/10 after reading your comment. The sequence after getting to the sphere is indeed challenging. Thanks for playing!
Nobody No-One 28 Aug, 2018 @ 7:47pm
Wow, absolutely fantastic map – really original concept, implemented brilliantly. Layout and visuals are a huge improvement over the original Portalgun Trial, especially the use of vertical space to increase visibility between the two main areas. Makes it so much easier to think through the puzzle and picture what's happening. Great work Libbybapa & Sariiger.

Sadly I couldn't experience the first half fully because I had watched half of LB's video sometime in Jan. or Feb. and I remembered the concept + some of the moves to reach the upper area. :( I had also seen in the comments that the portalable stairs would be used, but it was still satisfying when I figured out how. For me the hardest part was finding what to do right after reaching the sphere. I missed the obvious for days. If I hadn't been spoiled, this one might have taken me longer than Call for Backup (it might have taken longer even as is). Funny how we all judge difficulty differently.

Thanks for playing nock. It's always fun to watch your vids.
nock 17 Oct, 2017 @ 7:48am
Yeah I was close on my first attempt, but I wasn't happy with the commentary on it, hence the re-record. Cool map. I think if it wasn't for LB's video, I would have been stuck for a very long while on this one ;)

Libbybapa  [author] 13 Sep, 2017 @ 12:18pm
As Sariiger mentioned, that is intended. You are not doing it correctly. It is certainly possible to progress, you just need to reconsider how things work and what you are doing. That is still the easy part of the map. It will get progressively more challenging and fairly quickly. There is a walkthrough posted if you get totally stuck but it is always more fun to solve than to watch the solution.
Its not a phase, mom  [author] 13 Sep, 2017 @ 12:14pm
@microtron it's totally intended, it's the concept of the whole map ;)
Xan 13 Sep, 2017 @ 12:09pm
Not sure if it's a bug or not but after I get the red portal in the funnel the one up top just keeps shooting so I can't progress any further.
