The current version doesn't have the SweetFx effects, so you won't be able to use the above settings. I went on a 2-hour wild goose chase before figuring that one out.
First, ReShade it does not affect your game files it's only like an image filter
Than you just need to watch a ReShade tutorial
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPOHYQ7xRLE
reshade.ini is just a default file, so nothing will happen until you start to change with your own values
You can copy for this mod description and paste it in your reshade.ini using a notepad
if you want HDR, sharpen, other complex effects and FXAA then yeah it's going to add up
This cannot make a game crash no matter how you install it. If you install it wrong, then game will work but without ReShade on it.
Enable Antialiasing in Gamesettings is much better.
from http://guildwars2.rocks/sweetfx-gemfx-reshade/
SweetFX
PRO: Lots of presets to choose from
CON: Limited range of options
GemFX
PRO: Easiest to setup/tweak
CON: (Mildly) harder on performance
ReShade
PRO: Robust options range, still supported by developers.
most important for me: Tweaks can be done live in game.
CON: Takes some fiddling to get it to work.
tihs "mod" work with any kind of mods, all of them
you don't need to subscribe to any of this mods, all you need is to download ReShade and use it!
in my tests I used Gerula Graphics Enhancement Mod therefore this settings above are for Gerula Graphics Enhancement Mod because I don't know how they work/look on vanilla.
@Black Soull
nope, this or GEM
*to subscribe this mod, only if you like to see, receive, more and new info about ReShade settings for this game
no, you don't have to and this is more like an announcement than a mod, an alternative to another mod that use SweetFx, but that mod switched to "patreon me" to be unlocked
... plus, looks better with ReShade
Thanks.
even on my wooden PC I didn't feel any bad effects like dropping fps, so I guess not
Gerula Graphics Enhancement MOD it's optional, also it change the light in the game and therefore the result may be totally different without this mod.
Colourfulness is 0.200, but I use now 0.100
and lim_luma is at 0.600
>>Colourfulness 0.200(*up) and 0.600(*above number aka lim_luma)
Like that?:
uniform float lim_luma <
ui_type = "drag";
ui_min = 0.200; ui_max = 0.600;
ui_tooltip = "Lower vals allow more change near clipping";
ui_step = 0.01;
> = 0.7;
When I download reshade manually and configure it like your description, for what is the subscription of your mod? What does your mod?
- Clarity
- Colourfulness 0.150(*up) and 0.600(*above number aka lim_luma)
- Curves (*replace Formula named Simplified Catmull -Rom (0.0.1.1) with SmoothStep and -260 for contrast
- FXAA
- HighPassSharpen Choose sharpradious(*first line) 2
- Levels 10(*up) / 255(*below number)
- LumaSharpen
- Vibrance 0.140 Vibrance
