Think of it just like real life, none of the cars work perfectly on every track throughout the season ;)

Honestly this is one of the most struggling setups for me by now. But what do you do...you need a bit of a challenge too rigth? :)

Oh just having the setups out there in general is great. Me needing to make minor adjustments is just part of the territory. The setups you have are either perfect as is or still really good starting points for just minor adjustments. My only request would be hoping you will be making F1 2018 setups!

I could always try and put together a Renault setup for you if you're stuggling. I tend to just do that now when people request them as doing them for each track/team was taking up too much time.

Hey man, yeah that's the problem with the setups is that not only do all the cars handle differently it is also goind to depend on what upgrades have been added. I think at this point in career mode I had only added the lowest downforce upgrades (top couple of lines I think) and a few chasis upgrades with a pretty much maxed out engine. Renault will always handle differently compared to Mclaren unless all upgrades are pretty much maxed out on both when the setups are made. What I would suggest is use my Suspension & geometry settings but reset wings to 5/5 and ballast to 6 and tweak until your find a good balance.

Now reading some notes on other setups you have I'm thinking if it was a bit too slippery/oversteer because I do have 1 Major upgrade more on front wing than rear wing as well.

Pretty solid setup for me in Renault (season 5, 2nd full season with team). It was a little slippery for me so after toying with off throttle diff and ballast I ended up moving weight forward once and felt good there.

Thanks for the response GodSpeed, I'll give it a shot when I drive around Malaysia again!

Hey man. Yeah this felt okay to me at the time but maybe I just got used to driving it that way while I was setting it up. Looking at it on here I'd either remove a click of front wing or add a click to the rear and move the ballast towards the front by 1 click. If still a little unstable I'd add a little rear tow and that will help plant the backend. Glad you've enjoyed the rest of the setups though!

I love your setups, but this one is in my opinion the worst. The car is super inconsistent when it comes to traction, some laps its totally perfect and the next it is super slidey. And I consider myself smooth when it comes to car control so I find this setup quite odd. The rear also has a tendency to just step out when braking in a straight line which is again really random. I've tried messing with the dif and the brake bias but to no avail. The rest of your setups are great and I use them all the time. It's just this setup that I can't get working, I have no confidence in my car.
