Hi,

It should be ok to remove the mod after you've disposed of him.

After you remove the mod you'll get a pop-up the next time you load the game saying some content couldn't be found - that will be the mod you've just removed.

It's probably a good idea to back up your save anyway though. =)

Thanks for the mod, but is it ok to remove this mod from the game once I sacrifice him or will that cause problems? I already finished the Boethiah quest which is why I ask.

This is exactly what I was looking for when I searched "useless follower"! Finally, someone I can kill for the Boethia quest without being scared of wasting a perfectly good follower!

Thank you. (He will DIE!)
Huumin/SomeDerpy 19 May, 2014 @ 8:13pm
i think its because no matter wat all followers havea default hunting bow
Booch 3 Feb, 2013 @ 12:02am
this... is... EXACTLY what i was looking for. thanks for uploading!

Thanks for being so kind and making me want to carry on! :D I can understand why popular modders take so long though, so busy and so afraid of the massive horde of the people using their mod (I would be too...) but still, hopefully I won't be that guy...

@[YM] FloormaN ahhh okay thanks. Also, thank you for being so helpful and quick to reply. Most of the more popular mod authors in the workshop never reply to comments. good luck in your modding future.

In all honesty he wasn't even meant to have a bow, he was meant to be more like a sandbox follower where you just give him your hand me down equipment I guess, I didn't even give him a bow, he just had one.

So I guess he's just a useless NPC, that has stuff he shouldn't...
Akhi11eus 20 Jan, 2013 @ 4:27pm
Does this follower have any particular stats, like an affinity to bows, swords, heavy/light armor, or is it just like a useless NPC that's been given a bow and a follower status.
Akhi11eus 20 Jan, 2013 @ 4:25pm
@[YM] FloormaN Yeah i get that, i feel like a cheater when i open the console, but hey it's the easiest way sometimes. I probably will sub, though, just to have a kind of weak follower, especially a ranged attacker. I find that having overly agressive, brazen, or overpowered follower can take the fun away. Especially while using an archer or mage character, you'll find that a powerful follower usually gets in the way of your shots, and then finishes the enemies off. i just wish the followers were a little more smarter/complex without having to use mods on them.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this mod is a console-command killer. It's just I prefer I to have a follower that I can just throw away. There's nothing significant about using one or the other, it's your choice.

I understand that some people just use console and that's fine, but some people prefer to use throw-away followers (I guess it can be easier and feel more 'natural'?) and this mod is just a small freebie for those that do.
Akhi11eus 20 Jan, 2013 @ 11:54am
If you don't mind console commands, why not just select your dead follower in the console and type "resurrect" and they will come back to life with all of their/your gear and the same AI. I mean, its nice to have kind of a throw-away follower, but when you can resurrect any living thing that you kill, why not do that for your follower (or any side-quest NPCs you kill on accident). I just use Lydia until i get Seranna, resurrecting them as needed.

! SPOILER ALERT !
I have not yet gotten into the Boethiah's Calling quest. I now know that I'm going to have to sacrifice a follower when I do get to that quest. <sigh> Oh well, serves me right for looking at mods before completing all the quests.
Biraru-Sama 18 Dec, 2012 @ 5:48pm
You can also type in console "Help trusting" and find his code under npc and then player.placeatme [npc id code]
[YM] dan  [author] 18 Dec, 2012 @ 4:54pm
I think the command you are looking for is: createfullactorcopy or something like that.

It should be that, but if its not let me know.
travissaur 18 Dec, 2012 @ 3:26pm
Just wondering, does he have a Console Command? Cause maybe I'll spawn like 100 of him so I can up my Ebony Blade from Dragonsreach
Biraru-Sama 18 Dec, 2012 @ 2:20pm
I like how the opportunity to give a beggar a home AND a job came from the original idea of making him a sacrificial cow. God damn, I love skyrim! (and all the awesome people who make the mods for it) This is almost as awesome as when I combined the "rage rabbit" mod with "dead thrall on anything"
[YM] dan  [author] 18 Dec, 2012 @ 1:53pm
OK, the fucked up Complexion should be fixed. Let me know!
[YM] dan  [author] 18 Dec, 2012 @ 12:02pm
Well, he's a beggar so he's got the Drunk guy voice :)
βob__ζ 18 Dec, 2012 @ 11:53am
What voice does he have? I'll make him a Steward.

BTW, you can fix the gray face by selecting him in the CK and hitting Ctrl+F4.
[YM] dan  [author] 18 Dec, 2012 @ 11:29am
Using an actual follower felt much more natural...I really only use Console when I physically can't progress in a quest due to a bug.

And I'm pretty sure the beggar would appreciate the home. After all, he trusts you!
βob__ζ 18 Dec, 2012 @ 10:28am
Why not just advance the quest via the console command. Then you don't have to sacrifice anything. If you're going to cheat, just cheat.

Maybe I'll just download the mod and let the beggar live in one of my extra houses :)
Genebris 18 Dec, 2012 @ 5:07am
That's a point of the quest! You have to sell some one of your friends to get item. It's a point of daedra. They are evil bitches.
Stupid casual mods for poor kids.
Biraru-Sama 17 Dec, 2012 @ 2:24pm
Personally I just hire some poor bastard from an inn, I rarely keep followers around anyway. They tend to get in the way (A LOT!!!) and they also push me while I'm sneaking (sneak lv tends not to help when you make physical contact with an enemy).
Sigrún Aldgyth 16 Dec, 2012 @ 5:09pm
I thought the goal of Boethiah's Calling was to sacrifice a dear friend to prove loyalty or something.... I guess a beggar is good enough for her -_- Good job though, the bow and screwy complexion makes him hilarious. I might have him get crushed by giants, or any other form of torture. Console codes ftw.
[YM] dan  [author] 16 Dec, 2012 @ 10:51am
Ahhh yes I never thought of Mercs...But I'm a tight-wad and I don't want to spend money to have someone killed. :P
Ecta Foole 16 Dec, 2012 @ 8:24am
Oh haha I just hired a mercenary and let them die. But this is a great idea and I love the character name.
c0rpx 16 Dec, 2012 @ 3:10am
I actually accepted this quest yesterday for the first time and was already frustrated over sacrificing anyone. Now my problem is solved, thanks :)
Davjam_52 16 Dec, 2012 @ 3:09am
Good Idea ) I hope, that it will be add to game. Sorry for my english, it is mad
[YM] dan  [author] 15 Dec, 2012 @ 12:17pm
Thanks for the nice comments. :)
jayvenute 15 Dec, 2012 @ 11:19am
Such a smart idea. I belabored over whom to kill for much too long.
Meraere 13 Dec, 2012 @ 9:50am

[YM] dan  [author] 13 Dec, 2012 @ 9:04am

BlackOwl 12 Dec, 2012 @ 8:18pm
the golden words my code doesnt work and i have no idea why
[YM] dan  [author] 10 Dec, 2012 @ 9:24am
Oh, it turns out he has some white dirt all over his face...I never touched his face (only his hair). Give me 2 seconds to fix this. Thank you very much! :)
Brandybuck 9 Dec, 2012 @ 8:39pm
The face complexion is because you need to export the face. See this page for more info: http://j-u-i-c-e.hubpages.com/hub/Hot-to-Turn-Your-Skyrim-Character-into-a-Follower
