@nicovallejos I can understand your concern but it's unwarranted.
Berkut’s and Kiang’s Witches are completely different units as far as code goes. So the mod’s don’t actually conflict at all. Berkut functions the same.

While it is a bit weird that other civs can essentially get his UU, Berkut's Witches were designed to replace a military unit and function as such. And he can spam them.
Kiang's on the other hand are available earlier and can teleport farther. But they are weaker and much harder to get. They are meant to pick off civilians rather than wage front line war like Berkut's.

In the future I may update Berkut to have a new UU anyway, but I feel like the witches are a much more fun part about Berkut than the boring horse unit I would probably replace them with.

Thank you for voicing your concern. Luckily Kiang is a thoughtful modder and all the Civ 5 FE modders are in contact to make sure we don't step on each other's toes. (ie. the Discord in the desc.)

@LordofAdmirals

With Kiang's Fire Emblem Religions now already here, I'm afraid the mod has to be updated as well in order to avoid mod conflicts with that (Recruiting witches will now require a Witches belief. Purchasing a coven, which gain +3 faith and +1 culture, will spawn a witch upon completion). Rigel must now find a new unique unit or building in order to replace Witch.

Ah yes. Thank you for spotting that typo. I'll fix that.

One minor thingI've been bugged by is the adjective, it should be Rigelian or what not.
JotNyangE 6 May, 2018 @ 1:29am
Oops sorry, didn't mean to sound like I am mocking your balancing or anything. My failed attempt at humor I guess.

That said, I think your nerf on his unique Wall is much more effective than nerfing his...well, everything else. I mean, sure some bonus to specialists is nice but Berkut really gains that godlike OP status when he has plenty of tundra tiles to work on. Honestly, if you force spawn tundra tiles all across the map, I think Berkut doesn't even need his UU or UA and can still win easily. With that nerfed a bit I guess he won't be able to snowball out of control right from the ancient era.

I really appreciate your group's hard work with all these unique FE civs, and thank you for keeping in check with some of your older works.

Uhh. I don't think he's ever been utter trash. OP at some point yes, but he's still a strong civ. When he was released he was fairly strong but got powercreeped,. Then I buffed him but he was too strong. So I had to nerf him. Balance is pretty tough but I feel like he's currently in a state that isn't overpowered but is also stronger than he was originally.
JotNyangE 5 May, 2018 @ 11:21am
From utter trash to god-like OP to utter trash. What a journey. Rest in pieces Berkut.

Thanks! I spent a while on the dialogue and getting the balance right as been a challenge so I appreciate the support!

Finally became relevent. He makes the game very interesting as an AI, focusing on a terrifying army (those witches man) and being the warmongering asshole. Also very fun to play as, especially with these buffs. His dialogue perfectly reflects Berkut's character from SoV; quality mod.
JotNyangE 27 Jan, 2018 @ 2:48am
Ooh, after the Wall buff Berkut became a god-like civ from pure trash. Thanks for the buff man!
LordofAdmirals  [author] 15 Jan, 2018 @ 2:46pm
Thanks. Found the problem. It still required walls from when it replaced the castle, so since it replaced walls it couldn't be build. I'll update very soon to fix that.
JotNyangE 15 Jan, 2018 @ 7:59am
The Unique wall doesnt seem to appear in the building list

Thank you i got BnW and now most of my mods (The Ones I wanted to use most Including this one) work
LordofAdmirals  [author] 26 Dec, 2017 @ 2:43pm
I made this mod with G&K and BnW in mind, but because certain aspects of hacking change when not using those expansions, it may not be fully compatable in its current state for vanilla gameplay. Besides the expanisons it shouldn't require an dlc. If you're running Vanilla Civ and none of the mods you download work, then either the mods are not compatable with vanilla or theres' another issue with your game.
Aidan 26 Dec, 2017 @ 4:16am
Does this mod require Dlc because I have not been able to select it's leader or any modded leader/map in my modded playthroughs
JotNyangE 21 Nov, 2017 @ 2:02am
Now I just cant imagine NOT having Rigel for my custom games. I love it when he calls me a filthy swine.
doomswell 13 Nov, 2017 @ 6:36pm
Awesome, I was also just thinking though, whichever you think looks best; or if you already just changed it then nevermind... instead of changing the dark grey; maybe the red should be purple or blue like Berkut's cape.
LordofAdmirals  [author] 13 Nov, 2017 @ 5:28pm
mmm That's a fair point. I see it as more of a dark grey but it's an easy change that I'm willing to make.

As great as this mod is, a minor but significant improvement would be to change the colors so they aren't the same as barbarians. I suggest changing the black to a bronze.

@Bootiest you kinda have to consider the fact that Rigel has like... 5 notable locations. Honestly the Rigellian generals naming scheme is the best thing he could do, I did the same with macedon and it works out fine.
LordofAdmirals  [author] 4 Oct, 2017 @ 9:52pm
Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you guys like the dialogue. I spent sooo many hours on it.

As for the Rigelian General city names, I had to come up with //something// there are so few actual city names in Echoes and I couldn't keep copying them for every Echoes civ and change the order. I figured Rigelian Generals with tweaked names would make for decent city names that tie back into the game. Random city names are hard to come up with

*I've fixed the bugs you guy's mentioned thanks for calling them to my attention
Brigid 1 Oct, 2017 @ 4:41pm
Also, most of his cities are just Rigelian generals.
Brigid 1 Oct, 2017 @ 4:40pm
Berkut's AI is a fucking genius. I still love his dialogue though. Maybe nerf his AI a bit.
JotNyangE 29 Sep, 2017 @ 8:27pm
Ok, I played AS Berkut or had him in my games for about 6 rounds now. Very well made Civ in deed! Overall, I found him very fun to have in my game due to his hilarious dialogues but there was this slight error when Berkut asks me to declare war on somebody. Somehow regardless of who it is, it will always show up as |Player_text] instead of the name, and sadly since I have no idea who Berkut is trying to murder I can't join him in his combat. Still, my favorite CIV among all fire emblem related heroes.
Majorian 29 Sep, 2017 @ 3:19pm
When this leader in particular asks for war with another civilization, the leader that he's referring to's name isn't there. Could you perhaps try to fix this? Otherwise, nice mod.
