Ah, that makes sense.

Because it makes it easier for other content creators to release skins for this mod in a way that doesn't require them to re-package the entire mod (and therefore makes it compatible with any model/animation updates I release to the mod without them needing to update their version of the mod).

Why is this cut up into 3 addons? Never seen anything other weapon workshop item need this.

The model and the textures are normal in world model but in viewmodel, it looks like I'm looking inside of the textures

To allow for people to use custom textures in place of the ones provided. If I included them with the gun, then if you tried to use a special skin with this addon, it would collide, and the game would have to pick one or the other addon to use the skin from.

No offense but why are the textures separate?

Actually, the opposite is true here. The "scripts" include nothing more than the weapon script change that flips the weapon to be right handed. I've tested this first-hand on Valve servers and had no problem with it.

Sounds like you also need to grab the scripts file . Steam is supposed to let you know that certain addons are required, such as this one, when you go to subscribe to the animations. CS:S guns are built left handed instead of right handed, so when you use a weapon that's actually made right handed and tell it to flip anyway, it results in the triangles getting inverted, which is what you're seeing (arms too).

I initially only downloaded the reanimation, which gave me the pink and black checked boxes, so I downloaded the textures but now it looks ghostly, not just the gun but also my character arms are see-through on one side.

Consistency problems should not be prevalent. I successfully connected to several Valve servers while testing, aside for, of course, my own private server, with no such issue.

Regardless, all of the problems you're having sound more like issues with the game files. Try to verify your game cache if need be, as the addon worked fine on a vanilla client (my laptop, where i test addons before release to make sure they work outside of my own computer), my own computer, and apparently everyone else's computers.

Also the addon has consistency problems aswell

It doesn't conflict with any of my addons.

I've tried all of that, still the same.

I would suggest un-subscribing from it, and then re-subscribing. Restarting L4D2 may help in this instance as well. If neither of those work, then I'm clueless, because it works for me with no issues.

Odd. You didn't accidentally disable it, did you? I've done it more times than I'd like to admit during testing.

Even though I have this addon I still have a cool black and pink checker board skin.
