You don't hit it; that's just for backup cube purposes.

i cant hit the bomb

Well, 1st time trying these's out. And i think its good, But still, I Got no idea how to build a map like that.
Anachronistic ALLOS  [author] 19 Nov, 2018 @ 10:35pm
Uh, no, I'm just being honest. These were my early days, after all. My later Portal 2 maps got better, mainly closer to the end of my tenure at Aperture. My real potential was in Gmod maps, and I have several of those released in various places.
Petutski 19 Nov, 2018 @ 10:15pm
Yes, a little puzzle for you! (If you tell me how bad your maps are, then I might actually come back and say "rubbish" they are great!) And they really are pretty good!
Anachronistic ALLOS  [author] 19 Nov, 2018 @ 5:57pm
...reverse psychology?
Petutski 19 Nov, 2018 @ 12:59pm
Replaying these old maps after four years and they are still fun! I love the reverse pyschology going on in the comments! LOL
Wolffman109 16 Dec, 2017 @ 12:43pm
So true.
Anachronistic ALLOS  [author] 16 Dec, 2017 @ 11:57am
Well, I will admit I still had a decent enough standard of design in my maps. Standards on this workshop these days can be a bit more . . . questionable.
Wolffman109 16 Dec, 2017 @ 10:25am
Rubbish, my butt. That was amazing. Stop putting yourself down, I've seen Test Chambers and custom maps that were far worse. Yours was pretty damn spectacutar. A majority of your maps and tests would make one of those bad tests look like a fat lady's purse.
Anachronistic ALLOS  [author] 16 Dec, 2017 @ 1:09am
It's not hard, I was just garbage at level design back then.
Luke_The_Sith 16 Dec, 2017 @ 1:01am
It's pretty hard ALLOS. The newer one is easier
Wolffman109 26 Jul, 2017 @ 8:19pm
Ok, ok, I'm sorry, I apologize.
Anachronistic ALLOS  [author] 26 Jul, 2017 @ 2:33pm
...it's not even close to pointing at the extra cubes, though. It's, like, pointing 90 degrees away from the cubes.

And though you wouldn't know it, those weren't even there in earlier versions of the map. I just added those because people would intentionally fizzle the first cube.
Wolffman109 26 Jul, 2017 @ 12:51pm
I thought the arrow was pointing at all of the extra Companion Cubes. And as for the two-month gap thing, I've been bitten by the "Half-Life" bug, so I've been busy playing those games.
Anachronistic ALLOS  [author] 19 Jul, 2017 @ 8:20pm
Why did you just continue your comment after a two-month gap?

Regardless, that's why there's an arrow on the wall next to the door.
Wolffman109 19 Jul, 2017 @ 3:28pm
It's just that, in most maps I've played, once those doors close, you're outta luck, you can't get back. This was the first map I've played where it wasn't a one-deal kinda thing.
Wolffman109 16 May, 2017 @ 2:37pm
Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know.:steamfacepalm::steamsad:
Anachronistic ALLOS  [author] 14 May, 2017 @ 1:34pm
After putting the cube in the button, getting quite close to the door will still cause it to open. There are portalable surfaces inside that entry corridor.

It's not rocket science.
Wolffman109 14 May, 2017 @ 1:08pm
You mean, like AFTER you put the Companion Cube in the receptacle under GLaDOS? I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean.
Anachronistic ALLOS  [author] 13 May, 2017 @ 8:24pm
Note; the entry door still opens if you get close to it.
Wolffman109 13 May, 2017 @ 8:22pm
WHAT DO I DO!?!?!?!?
Wolffman109 13 May, 2017 @ 8:22pm
I got stuck right after you put the first Companion Cube in the receptacle. I know, I'm pathetic.:steamsad:
BigTigerM 23 Dec, 2015 @ 7:02am

...tea party easter egg?
Are we talking about a specific tea party, or just any old tea party?
Imp 22 Aug, 2014 @ 1:38pm
plz add a tea party easter egg
Anachronistic ALLOS  [author] 21 Aug, 2014 @ 4:27pm
Well, for one, this map was made around the beginning of my timeline in which I started using Hammer, so I didn't know autosaves outside of logic_autosave brush entities existed. Secondly, this map is small, and the 'battle' doesn't really involve much. Which deemed autosaves not nessesscary, at the time of development. Which, as I said, was around when I began using Hammer.
Lem 21 Aug, 2014 @ 4:51am
why you no have quick saves??!! >:0
Imp 23 Apr, 2014 @ 12:09pm
there is a cup of tea in the corner though
Anachronistic ALLOS  [author] 22 Apr, 2014 @ 8:34pm
The cube was just to start the, for lack of a better term, puzzle. You use portals to hop onto or grab the Turrets, and then you just dump them in the acid or something.

I dunno, maybe you wanted to have an imaginary cup of tea with a knocked out Turret as opposed to tossing it in sludge.
Imp 22 Apr, 2014 @ 11:07am
was i meant to use p:p2blue:rtals to get the turrets or was i meant to use a companion cube?(i used the companion cubes for protection against the turets then knocked down all the turrets with a companion cube)
toast 1 Feb, 2014 @ 8:04am
i must admit, i was kinda freaked. i just beat portal 2 not to long ago. =I
ashquarky 22 Sep, 2013 @ 7:55pm
(pushes button)
(Me) I'll take that! (takes companion cube)
(Drops cube)
(Me) NOOOOOO!!!!!
(GLADoS while being taken apart) Oh... You trapped youreself. Let's see if....
ashquarky 22 Sep, 2013 @ 7:45pm
Love how GLADoS's head isn't solid. Eat Companion Cube!
Anachronistic ALLOS  [author] 23 Aug, 2013 @ 12:26am
It's the work of a then inexperienced mapmaker who knew less tricks than he does now. Give him a break, huh? I don't even know why I'm talking in the second person.
AvidLebon 23 Aug, 2013 @ 12:14am
I think it was pretty good except for one major problem: Making non portable surfaces look like portable surfaces isn't nice, especially when you think your portal just isn't hitting the surface right. I'm referenceing specifically about the surface under the second turret, it isn't clever to force us to use the one above it, it just makes me think your map is broken. Once you get past that area it it's pretty easy to work through.
Anachronistic ALLOS  [author] 13 Aug, 2013 @ 5:48pm
There's a snapshot moment right there.
*camera flash*
Yup, that's a keeper.
Jukebox Hero 12 Aug, 2013 @ 11:51pm
GLaDOS: "Don't press that button! You don't know what you're doing!"
Me: "Pfft, I know what I'm doing."
*Falls through cracj between bridge and button*
Me: "I guess I really don't know what I'm doing."
TULOA 29 Jun, 2013 @ 11:30pm
Hey ALLOS this map has a bug I spotted... If you don't trigger the bridge to despawn by going close to its despawn point and portaling to the turret by the wall behind ya it will stay to unknowningly trigger on ya when you try to move on to #3.

Got me a few times before I figured that out. And if thats not the reason I would look into it. Got me on #1 too once for no apparent reason lol.
John Simons 28 May, 2013 @ 1:34pm
I liked it, It is very difficult to see what the portalable surfaces are. They should be iluminated more I think. Al and al Nice Job
Anachronistic ALLOS  [author] 12 May, 2013 @ 2:09am
Well, whoops. Forgot to change that when I updated the map.
