TWI has totally screwed up the Steam Workshop and custom content. After a year, they semi fixed a part of it so maps and stuff would download properly again. However, once you initially add things to your server............ that's it! If you try to add additionally content to your server, it will not download properly. It has been reported to TWI but this will probably take another year to fix!!

@Nomad what seems to broken mate? Might be fixable on my end, not sure. Sometimes TWI break things that cause custom maps to spazz out.

Thx Seanchaoz, your info really helps. I also contacted our Server provider to see if it could be anything on their end. I have double and triple checked on my end and everything is correct. Still no download from the Steam Workshop. Will keep my eye on it. Also, you make fantastic maps, hats off to you!

I'm running a small test server of my own and it's outputting a lot of workshop download errors for all maps, not just this one. I don't know what the problem is - I haven't touched anything - but it's clearly something on either TWI's end or Steam.

There's a KF2 beta build going on at the moment which is likely what is causing these issues. I'll keep an eye on the problem to see if it persists after the beta goes public, there's little else I can do about it at the moment.

That's... very strange. I haven't touched the map or even the workshop in months. Whatever is happening is either on Steam's side or Tripwire is fucking up their own game again with their buggy beta updates.

Ok, I unsubscribed from this map. When I re-Subscribed............... it downloaded KF-Arcade Gas Station. Me thinks you need to fix something Seanchaoz. Love your maps by the way and really want to keep this one, but need a fix to the issue. Thank You

After this latest update, my servers will not update to your latest update. Had to remove your map from rotation for now. Tried the "Ducky" fix and nothing gets downloaded. Verified file #, Map Name etc. Any ideas?

There's a bug at one of the spawns, this Scrake couldn't navigate around the wall and was stuck there until I used cheats to kill him.

Could be a path node issue, or not enough room for the larger zeds to get past.

Nice creative/original map. Could do with a bit of polishing but it's already good. however too many small corridors and overall level geometry is too simple.

This might come a little bit late, but camping at the spot in the screenshot below is pretty easy, even on HoE, because 75% of the zeds are coming from the lane with the ladder, whereas the other lane has only low traffic (so half the time, the guy holding the lane has nothing to shoot at).

Also, I am not sure if it's somehow possible, but would it be possible to make crawlers spawn in the little areas above the ceiling? So that destroying the ceilling actually is a disadvantage, because if you do so, new spawn points are being generated.

this is one of the most technically complex maps i have ever played in KF2. its very well optimized too. Anyone is doing themselves a favor by subscribing.

Big thanks to everybody for your comments and feedback, as always it's massively appreciated!

I'll have the skylight in the office fixed (damn shotgun jumpers :D) and I'll take a look at the ladders and see if I can make them more zed-friendly.

I've been very diligent with movement optimization (insanely boring work, but any serious mapper should be doing this) to avoid players getting stuck in geometry, so if I've missed some glaring spots I'd be interested in knowing. Bumping into things that are obviously there can be unfortunate, but remember much of it (such as desks) can be broken by players with regular guns (unlike in the official maps), so if you get locked in it might be faster to shoot the desks instead of the zeds.

We played this map 6p HOE the other night, nicely detailed but I think this is one of the biggest issues with the map - the detailing isn't tested extensively enough. Kiting is kind of discouraged on this map as there was a real fear of getting caught on random decoration and the destructible walls - which caused the end of me and others even while we were camping. Theres a couple of other concerns as well - give me a buzz if you'd like to know more.

The ladders (mainly in dna storage) are pretty easy gimp zeds with. Meaning they get stuck on them.

Very good map, it shows that you worked hard. No bug detected and runs at constant 60 fps in all areas. The only thing I could criticize is that I and my team did not cost us too much to find a spot and beat the map on the second try.

There's too many good things going on with this map. The destuctability of the enviroment & it's frequent inclusion really gives the map a character of its own compared to core game maps (and working ladders! Tripwire hadn't even gotten that working!) Honestly i hope this gets picked up as an official map like the hell & nuked. The zeds themselves destroying the enviroment really makes the map feel more alive & the before and after shots between round 1 & 10 are night & day.
