Firstly, Thank you I have been able to create some really nice and well preforming tanks.
Now, My issue is, Once the wheels are damaged. they do not add back correctly. When I built it not all the wheels spawned in either?

its just a bare chassis, you have to load in whatever script for steering, again this is a old build uploaded a year ago

Very difficult to turn the chasis
Deathlok-L17  [author] 22 Jul, 2018 @ 10:49am
yeah, there are ways, or you can speend 5 min and revert back to update.180 and make as many as you want then come back to current game version
g.w.a.c.a. 21 Jul, 2018 @ 11:27pm
i've found a new way to make these "tracks" in the current version:
It only takes 2 mergeblocks, 1 piston with max impulse settings and the suspension blocks

ShipShipShipShipShipShipShipShip
Ship Ship
Piston----->Mergeblock> <Mergeblock
Wheel- Wheel-
suspension suspension
Wheel Wheel

At first, when the piston extends, the wheels push each other away but as soon as the merge blocks lock, the wheels clip into each other.
Just repeat the process untill you have the desired length.

How do you do the wheel bug may I ask
PhlyingYaKs09 15 Feb, 2018 @ 8:54am
i made a tank with it and it was so cool
Deathlok-L17  [author] 23 Dec, 2017 @ 7:11am
you use to be able to in patch .184, but not after that
Deathlok-L17  [author] 23 Dec, 2017 @ 7:11am
umm, im not sure you can weld the wheels being so close together
blub9529 23 Dec, 2017 @ 7:08am
Is it possible to build this in survival?
Deathlok-L17  [author] 16 Nov, 2017 @ 7:08pm
lul

still works fine ppl :D
Vollstrecker 20 Sep, 2017 @ 6:20pm
Yet there's about a million other problems that remain from 20 updates ago. Oh but here's some new features and bugs with the latest update :steamfacepalm:... sorry :steamsalty:
Deathlok-L17  [author] 15 Sep, 2017 @ 6:58pm
oh crap they fixed that now! :steamsad:
That Gaming Titan 15 Sep, 2017 @ 6:16pm
But that wont place a wheel fam
Deathlok-L17  [author] 15 Sep, 2017 @ 5:34pm
its been patched, but you can place a suspension block and safty lock it, then place another next to it, lock it and repeat
That Gaming Titan 15 Sep, 2017 @ 3:18pm
Man, I might use this now cause they patched the glitch
Deathlok-L17  [author] 20 Aug, 2017 @ 6:52pm
I uploaded my "Lycan [MBT]" tank from picture above to the workshop :D http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1116192356
acoustov 20 Aug, 2017 @ 3:40pm
tbh i'll probably download a mod for some tank-style of turrets and place them on it. looks good though
zeckmon3 20 Aug, 2017 @ 12:42am
best ever...
Deathlok-L17  [author] 19 Aug, 2017 @ 5:57pm
yeah it works good
MatveiCAT 19 Aug, 2017 @ 4:41pm
This seems much more stable than the old track builds, some epic Klang from those...
Deathlok-L17  [author] 19 Aug, 2017 @ 4:02pm
i shouldve made a version with 5x5 wheels
MatveiCAT 19 Aug, 2017 @ 2:55pm
Can a bigger version with this glitch be manufactured?
Kaczpur 19 Aug, 2017 @ 1:46pm
Can I join to you for copy this blueprint? ^^
Deathlok-L17  [author] 19 Aug, 2017 @ 12:50pm
Dont think anyone else is having any issues with BP
Deathlok-L17  [author] 19 Aug, 2017 @ 12:49pm
hmm really?
Kaczpur 19 Aug, 2017 @ 8:49am
Failed to load the blueprint file ;(

thanks guys, tank in picture above was Inspired by INKY's Isara Tank build, ill be releasing it soon :D
Alien 480 17 Aug, 2017 @ 11:49am
the tank in the picture is bosssss. i want it!
k_medlock 17 Aug, 2017 @ 4:59am
Oh damn i sure like that tank in the picture!
INKY /ᐠ_ ꞈ _ᐟ\ 17 Aug, 2017 @ 12:20am
Or you can just use Whips MART script. It works so much better than gyros.
von Hohenzoller-Imposter 16 Aug, 2017 @ 9:53pm
Have fun :D
Deathlok-L17  [author] 16 Aug, 2017 @ 6:05pm
i'll lhave to try that out, honestly have seen it but never tried it
Ashley 16 Aug, 2017 @ 6:00pm
Okay in summary: If the tank has gun elevation: put the remote and gyoscope on the gun barrel. So when u turn off BOTH rotors (rotor connecting hull and turret, and rotor connecting turret to cannon) and control the remote from the main hull and TA-DA!!! I got an elevated turnable turret! My failed tank suddenly became alive! (Until I was abusing/smashing my hull by elevating the gun up and down like a retard)
Deathlok-L17  [author] 16 Aug, 2017 @ 5:55pm
Nice glad to here that :D
Ashley 16 Aug, 2017 @ 5:54pm
@Deathlok @Xionph Oh my god turning off the freakin Adv. rotor just works! (Just panning with mouse) Wow, i cannot believe Space Engineers doesn't teach you these tricks and you have to find them yourself. Thanks for all your helpful input! I can probably make a "French" autoloader tank XD or even a tank that is turreted and buildable in survival (I know the blueprint doesnt come with subgrid but im working with the merge block trick)
Deathlok-L17  [author] 16 Aug, 2017 @ 2:16pm
@ Xionph Your welcome :D
Deathlok-L17  [author] 16 Aug, 2017 @ 2:14pm
@ Ashley Cinders, i think if you turn rotor torque down or off you can move turrets with gyros and a remote, not totally sure though
Quantum23 16 Aug, 2017 @ 12:45pm
The gun elevation is very tricky as you have to get a good balance on the gun for it to work smoothly. It is often easy to make the turret move but much harder to make the gun elevate with rotors and gyros (not to mention it can become very large). It's the main reason why most tanks use just the rotors on their own or scripts.
Ashley 16 Aug, 2017 @ 12:52am
@Xionph thank you for your explanation. Though it's odd: i have rotors that are turned on and yet I can still rotate them (as in panning with my mouse, but I'll have to check. It could be the cause). I know how the general concept works because I have one or two successful rotor tanks but other tanks I have attempted they just dont work even I have built them in the exact format. Right now I'm just building a turreted tank with no gun elevation.
von Hohenzoller-Imposter 15 Aug, 2017 @ 10:32pm
The ratio of blocks or wheight does not influence your turret. Only gyros do. if you made the mistake with the rotors the turrets which are working, have more gyro power than the rotor has breaking power -> turret behaves like pushing, lugging.
von Hohenzoller-Imposter 15 Aug, 2017 @ 10:17pm
The most probable mistake is to not turn off the rotors
von Hohenzoller-Imposter 15 Aug, 2017 @ 10:15pm
1. You need to control your turret from the gun, not from the chassi. Place a remote control block on thr barrel. Place your gyros on the barrel to. (Remote and gyros only turn all subgrids they are placed on, not the ones placed on them.
2. Make sure your rotors are turned off. If not, they will try to turn to the angle they are set to, not
The angle the mouse controlled remote wants them to.
Sry for my poor capability to explain things, ask again if some things are unclear. Have fun
Ashley 15 Aug, 2017 @ 10:06pm
Hey there! When making a turreted tank, how does one uses the gyroscope and remote control to move/turn the turret with mouse (instead of using scripts)? When I was making turreted tanks I got some working and some not. (Not working ones behaves like pushing/tugging ur tank down as u tries to pan the mouse). My only speculation is that the hull blocks must have more ratio than the rotor/subgrid (aka turreted hull).
von Hohenzoller-Imposter 15 Aug, 2017 @ 9:28pm
Thanks for that awesome chassi :)
