Here's the link to that other station (by Liranius):

I thought you might want to check in with the modder who created the
GROUND RAILWAY-AS-METRO STATION
to see how he got his Cims to walk on top of the platform instead of sunk into it. He could probably tell you how to do that if you asked him.
On the positive side for your station .... his costs twice as much to run so I still use a lot of yours instead and just try to ignore the quick-sand cement problem.....and just keep waiting for an update on yours that will fix the quick-sand cement problem......
I'll repeat the comment I made just before yours (you don't read the comments before dropping your own, do you?....or you wouldn't have had to ask the question...chuckle...)
anyway....
The Cims do this in the Vanilla metro station as well ...... I think there is a path for them to walk over the tracks to get to the other side in order to wait for trains going the opposite direction.....at least that's what they seem to be doing in the Vanilla station. It's probably just a "Colossal" thing that modders cannot fix.
Hi there :^)
The Cims do this in the Vanilla metro station as well ...... I think there is a path for them to walk over the tracks to get to the other side in order to wait for trains going the opposite direction.....at least that's what they seem to be doing in the Vanilla station. It's probably just a "Colossal" thing that modders cannot fix. I'm just guessing - not high-techy-techy enough to be sure of anything.
But just thought it might make you feel better to know it's something that happens in all of em ..... though the really expensive one that comes with the Metro Overhaul mod does have a raised overpass in it's station......
Did I ever thank you, while I was chit-chatting, for making such a wonderful metro station? If I didn't I am now. Your station is soooo beautiful. Wish I could make things that nice. Have noooo idea how you do it, but please keep up the good work..... and thanks for it.

Okay - http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1155013607 is the URL on Workshop of a screenshot I took after going into the First Person Camera mod (by Tony56a), walking into the station & standing there in the middle of it, watching Cims pass in & out of the station. As you can see, the Cims all have their feet on the cement that is on the same level as the gravel the train rails are on. This leads me to believe that maybe you don't need that Raised-Platform inside the station. Here's my suggestion, & keep in mind that I have no idea how hard (or even impossible) it might be to do this, since I have no idea how you created this station in the first place, so I might be suggesting something that won't work. But here it is - what if you just remove that Raised-Platform that is inside the station? Then you would see the Cims walking on the cement base you created at the start, before you put the platform in there. Would that work, do you think?
hmmmm .... your comment about set heights has got me thinking about something. I'll check it out and get back to you :^)
Hi there J. :^)
Still waiting to hear from you as to what I'm doing wrong when plopping your station that makes the Cims on the waiting platform stand in cement up to their calves. Is there something I should be doing when plopping? I tried leveling the ground out completely level before plopping - that didn't work. What am I doing wrong?
A little advice would be greatly appreciated here as I have your station in two spots on my game and would really love to not only keep it in those spots but also put it in the other 17 spots in my game. But not till you have time to help me solve this wee little problem.
That said - SUCH A BEAUTIFUL STATION. GREAT ASSET!!!
:^)
