Does it effect AI or just the player?
Harald Hardrada 6 May, 2021 @ 6:47pm
is there any alternate to this mod?
mars99  [author] 22 Jul, 2020 @ 9:25pm
@all Updated version is linked above
mars99  [author] 19 Jul, 2020 @ 2:48pm
@all

Will be updating soon!
DominikDome 9 Dec, 2019 @ 7:48am
Gibt es da eigentlich ein Update zu?
Maka enthusiast 19 May, 2019 @ 10:57am
what is the difference betwen this mod and dynamized development from mate0815?
aaaaa142 21 Apr, 2019 @ 3:20am
if build building that got a effect 'reduce development cost' like university, than it got a effect on that province?
mars99  [author] 10 Mar, 2019 @ 10:34pm
@Dice Yes it is compatible with Extended Timeline
mars99  [author] 10 Mar, 2019 @ 10:34pm
@Tebix Yes, it should be compatible with Voltairs
mars99  [author] 10 Mar, 2019 @ 10:33pm
@Slurpee12 Yes. The development works now based on a combination of a slight increase and reduction in cost. The increase will vary as you found out in favor of not having anything at all. Where as the reduction also varies where more of the time the reduction is steep - as much as 99% Reduced Development Costs.
Wojciech Jaruzelski 6 Mar, 2019 @ 12:48pm
is this mod ET compatible?
Tebix 24 Feb, 2019 @ 10:12am
Is the mod compatible with Voltairs Nightmare?
Slurpee12 14 Feb, 2019 @ 12:52pm
I've noticed that when provinces get the development event, development doesn't actually increase (I have the events on and does not say +1 tax to province or something like other events do). The player just gets a reduction in cost for manual development. It doesn't happen everytime, but it seems to happen more often than actually getting increased development.
skybix 24 Jan, 2019 @ 3:33pm
@Fanstar1 I think it is just that there are ~200 AI countries and it would look normal for there to be about that many events firing elsewhere for every event that targets your provinces.
Fanstar1 24 Jan, 2019 @ 2:02pm
even before the focus on development cost the ai always seemed to get it alot more often.
Hakipi 24 Jan, 2019 @ 1:21am
The AI probably spends their monarch points at the provinces getting the reduced development cost events, which creates the illusion that it seem that the mod "favour" the AI getting more "increased development" events.
mars99  [author] 19 Jan, 2019 @ 6:42pm
There is no difference on whether or not the events happen more for players or AI. However, there is a huge difference in how AI runs the country that may impact the events, for example building buildings. There are a lot of factors that come into the development events - too many to list off. But if the AI is doing well then what are they doing that you are not? Try swapping nations and see the events from their point of view if necessary.

Last advice: the events are focussed more on reduced development cost as I previously mentioned. If you understand this then why would it as events favor the AI? When you get an event, you need to develop. I would recommend waiting for events that you get steep discounts, like 99% reduction, and then develop that province as much as you can. When I do this, I get almost 30 dev an event and far outpace AI. However, you need to strategize.
lifescout424 19 Jan, 2019 @ 4:03pm
Yeah, like Fanstar said, even when the events are on they seem to highly favor the ai. To the point that the AI soon far outpaces the player in development
Fanstar1 18 Jan, 2019 @ 6:46pm
even with that enabled it always seems to favour ai
mars99  [author] 18 Jan, 2019 @ 5:08pm
@lifescout424 By default, the events are hidden so not to spam the player. Go to decicions and flag them on if you like. Also, you will not always get development points but you will always get reduced costs that will widely vary.
lifescout424 18 Jan, 2019 @ 9:34am
Maybe it's just me, but the development events only seem to happen to AI-controlled countries, and never happen to the player. Is that working as intended?
Fuski 30 Dec, 2018 @ 10:35am
I would love it if the world's largest cities feature came back to the dynamized development mod, make it happen please. The cost reduction instead of just flat development is a cool concept btw I really like it
egg 29 Dec, 2018 @ 3:49pm
Is there a way I can change it back so it manually just develops instead of reducing dev costs?
Bring the Jubilee! 29 Dec, 2018 @ 3:27pm
Is it normal to be constantly getting droughts and famine for the events?
mars99  [author] 29 Dec, 2018 @ 3:24pm
@egg
Yes. It was revamped. It develops much slower with an agressive reduction in costs.
egg 23 Dec, 2018 @ 4:38pm
It seems to just lower dev costs rather than actually developing for me.
Blue 29 Oct, 2018 @ 7:34pm
Hi, I did some changes and updates from your mod. If you want to take a look: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1551701997
Orc 24 Oct, 2018 @ 11:43am
@mars99 that would be awesome !:steamhappy:
mars99  [author] 23 Oct, 2018 @ 12:03am
@All

I will update the mod soon. xD
Orc 22 Oct, 2018 @ 3:55am
Well , for me , at some point , like after 100 years the development event won't ever appear again
I tried without any other mods , i had the same issue
I don't know why it does that , after the dharma update it started doing that
roaringjohn 22 Oct, 2018 @ 3:01am
@NPC #4985372, you can still use it unhindered, but it's likely more unstable as someone had said.
Orc 21 Oct, 2018 @ 2:33am
Hi , can you update this great mod please :steamsad:? It is a must in all my playthroughs
Hyperspearman.Swf - TheRyuSword 29 Sep, 2018 @ 11:10pm
@phoenixfryre, yes. It'll just be a lot more unstable.
phoenixfryre 28 Sep, 2018 @ 9:00pm
Does it still work with the new update?
Christian32469 16 Sep, 2018 @ 1:57am
Does it work for custom nations too?
Darius_DC 22 Aug, 2018 @ 4:45am
ok thanks for answering :)
Gabingston 19 Aug, 2018 @ 12:57pm
One province minors and small countries seem to get OP, with every OPM having at least 30 development by 1600. Could you balance that?
mars99  [author] 8 Aug, 2018 @ 6:59pm
@Darius_DC
The short answer is it got split off as DD Map Mod (add on) and then eventually the added mechanics in here as well as the map where then split completely from DD (Dynamized Development). This was primarily due to the overwhelming feedback that all the aspects added had nothing to do with development.

The split went to what was called PUX (Project Universalis X) which then begin expanding and receiving feedback regarding performance issues. In turn putting that on a bit of a hiatus.

Just recently I've gotten back into the PUX mod to 'dust' things off - including the map which I stripped out due to the performance issues. Lookout for something on the PUX mod.

This mod, however, will remain separate and will remain solely with development mechanics only.

Links to other mods and discord were posted in the description part above some time ago.
Darius_DC 30 Jul, 2018 @ 1:47am
A long time ago you had made a mod named project universalis where you have added a lot of provinces. It seems that this mod no longer exists.
Why?
mars99  [author] 1 May, 2018 @ 11:33pm
@Recognizable @Argacyan @Dr.Blbstein
I posted the mechanics for a development event in the mechanics thread. Have a look and strategize as necessary.
Dr.Blbstein 1 May, 2018 @ 1:43pm
I think I have the same problem. AI countries get development even if they have no buildings and are constantly at war and my magnificently built up provinces gets only maluses even during long peace time :/
Argakyan 28 Apr, 2018 @ 1:47pm
I have the same situation as Recognizable which, without me even realizing it, might have made Eu4 significantly harder to play.
Hyperspearman.Swf - TheRyuSword 28 Apr, 2018 @ 2:33am
@Recognizable, the events are "hidden" events, most of them you don't see. And recently mars added in a food mechanic which is supposed to limit how much development you can get without going to war.
Recognizable 27 Apr, 2018 @ 4:37pm
For some reason development is increasing automatically in every country except my own. Only mod im using is Beyond Typus. I checked and im not getting any of the events and have no provinces with the recently increased modifier. Year 1706.
Kaiser Love 23 Mar, 2018 @ 2:47pm
Merci les gars.
mars99  [author] 19 Feb, 2018 @ 3:50pm
@Koishi Komeiji [Data]
The encyclopedia can come back to help somewhat.
Don't forget, most everything minus the development events are in the new Project Universalis X mod. Have you given it a try? Have you tried the beta version? Lot's of new additions are in the beta version. And you could help make it better by feedback. :)
Dusty Exaliber 19 Feb, 2018 @ 9:38am
@mars99 more of a minor qauestion but is the encyclopedia comming back so you could have an explanation in the lite of how the development system works in your mod so people know also i second the return of the worlds largest cities but i mainly miss the litle modifiers like terracing and such
Sirius 11 Feb, 2018 @ 5:53pm
@mars99
Thanks. I've just begun using it, I was just worried that there would be a conflict with extended timeline.
