just checked this out thinking it was just a body for a rover. even with getting the process going but not generating any plates it was still inspiring. Genius they must really hate you now at keen.

I think it was based on a bug that made Rotors auto build a connector with one steel inside, so that you can build it. The Clang-O-Tron Infinity used this 'bug' by making the rotor spawn the connection in the AoE of the grinder, who then put the steel plate inside the cargo, then the rotor would make another connection with 1 steel and the whole thing would repeat itself.

Long story short ; It used a bug that the devs probably fixed

Sadly, as of the end of 2017 this build doesn't work anymore. Enjoy the videos and the idea of this concept, and the chassis is also fine if you can find the use for it.

Possibly creates and detach piston heads/rotor heads, which are grinded down by grinder. Creating piston heads costs nothing, and contain steel plates.

Not only is this amazing for harvesting infinite steel plates from infinite quantum realities, it's also a damn better rover than most things you see getting front page on the workshop these days.

This thing is a real Godsend, since Iron is so hard to come by

@alexbeau1: Only works with steel plates. You get a free steel plate when you replace the head of a rotor or piston (also works with wheels), and then you grind that off to get the steel plate and then you replace it again for another free steel plate. Then you just need to repeat this process over and over again.

@ Snakpak11 / there *should* be wheels on it :/ Try this: Spawn, add wheels, save as your own blueprint (CTRL Shift B, I think... or is it CTRL B) and then use that.

@Axel - That's a good idea actually! Maybe the infinity engine can be used by NPCs? It won't upset the balance of the game while still expanding the Pirate faction.

@remethep rotor heads spawn with a steel plate in survival. combine this with a self triggering timer, and a grinder and you get one steel plate every two game ticks
