I´m a little bit sad about not beeing able to let my Husband and children live in there!
Can you make this possible ?
Please, I love this house so much, can`t tell!!!!
There's not enough eye-candy. A bit more decoration or flash, beyond weapon displays, would serve you well. Those large wooden cabinet areas (particularly in the bedroom) are great, however, they are visually kind of dull. Could you perhaps reduce the size/number of these units, or combine their content limits in some fashion, say for example one for heavy, one for light, etc rather than one cupboard for each specific type of armour set, and then use the freed up wall space for other, more decorative kinds of displays (perhaps banners, sideboards, etc).
Otherwise, take my comments for what they are worth - something from a guy who is too lazy to do this sort of thing himself. :)
regards,
G.
I appreciate the large number of bookshelves on the top floor to create a library space. There is a big lack of shelf space for books gathered in one room in this game. This being said, perhaps you have too much of a good thing? If there's too much shelf space for the number of books in the game, then I'd consider taking out the center quad-shelves and putting back in a desk/table and a couple of chairs to make it a library/reading-room/office space which could also serve as an informal meeting room. I'd keep only the mundane books in the game on these open shelves (200-ish?).
Have you considered creating a "special" bookshelf for the more important books in the game? There's something like 90? spell books, about 100? skill books. Those could be moved to another case, perhaps with some sort of secured front which allows viewing of the titles, but only the owner has the ability to remove these "special" books. This could then become the centerpiece of this space.
On the main level, outside of the kitchen, is there any place to sit down? I might have put only one display case in the entry area trophy room, and supplemented it with some chairs etc. There's also a few too many mannequins for my taste in this area. It kind of crowds it up and takes away space which could be used for the display cases or other shelves (for things like troll skulls, and other memorabilia from your journeys). There's more to adventuring than just bringing home interesting weapons and armour, no? I'm suggesting that the other stuff should get the same consideration as your plates.
The display area to the left of the entry door could also be given a dual function of seating/display area, not just another place to stack weapons. One of your display cases could be shifted to this area while the weapon rack could be placed elsewhere, or removed entirely.
I like this mod and intend on using it. This has probably been a significant investment in time for you. Good job.
This being said, for my personal taste, and for your competion to be the most popular house mod, there are some changes I'd investigate. My thoughts center on there being perhaps a bit too much put into "weapon/armour display" space and not enough into living space, or those cosmetic touches beyond racks of weapons. The illusion is that this is supposed to be a place where the character lives, not just a show room/storage space for his stuff.

BUUUT, I've always believed that manequins (spelling?) were creepy
yet now even more so when i walked in Proudspire after mod...
THE MANEQUINS WERE WALKING AROUND!!!!!!1211!!!ELEVEN!!!!!!
freaked me the heck out
so i killed (erm, disabled) them
Besides that creepy/scary bit..this is really nice :D
also...am I really supposed to understand what the recipe for pimpjuice says?
whats the recipe? :(
I've tryed creating my own mod to change around the overall look and efficiency of Proudspire Manor, because I liked this guy's idea and I got to tell you it's harder than it looks and is very time consuming. Yet, still gotta give props to this guy for creating his own unique work, but if you look further into this mod by opening it in the CK, you'll see 2 SolitudeProudspiremanor cells, thus needing the book in order to transition to the modified cell he created while in game. Perhaps this is what is causing some of the trouble and headaches because the game might not behave quite so stable with 2 of the same main cell it uses, but can't say for sure just a theory.
