well Bigglesworth ... i must admit that was the most enjoyable mission I have ever flown ... i placed the Malibu 3 times into the drink .. so i did what any great pilot would do just to get to the end of this mission ... I cheated and changed the plane to a Da40 ... i finished it and laughed my butt off all the way back to half moon bay ... i'll re-install the Malibu and try again ... thank you for your piece of work ... it was the best ... just tried out this mission finally was able to land on the carrier after about 10 tries or more lol great mission the tip of using the forward view was the only way i could land it lol

How do I get this mission in FSW

I hope I never fly with her again, super nice before take off then it went downhill from there.......:)

Even though I have subscribed to this mission it does not show up in FSW. What steps should I take to get this downloaded so I can try this?

Good tip "over the nose" view! I've been flying with trackir5, so just raise my head a bit, but for those without trackir that over the nose view is a good idea.

Great fun! Took me a few attempts to nail the landing, and the use of the forward ('over the nose') view is definitely recommended over the pilot view to touch down at the very edge of the deck. And the dialogue from Sari is definitely worth the effort. Now I'll have to attempt it again for the instant replay feature!

Update today. Added a "from the carrier" camera. Hit shift-S to get to it from cockpit view. I also added a landing instant replay, so you can appreciate your landing--if you get down safely. Be sure to hit Shift-S when viewing the recording in order to watch from the carrier bridge area.

Good fun. Had to go around twice but made it in the end. Funny dialogue.

VikingWolf, after takeoff from KSFO turn to and maintain a heading of 290 and that should take you right to the carrier.

@schmax, No you were not Cheating, using the entire Flightdeck is how small aircraft takeoff and land on carriers in real life. I even seen a C-130 land and takeoff on a carrier without using the arresting cables or catapults.

Fun Mission with some totally bizarre dialogue!

What could solve it is giving the Carrier a nice speed like 20 knots.
I remember such a mission in FSX.

Thanks, schmax. I use the whole carrier length, too. I really doubt I'd have any luck landing on the carrier runway without arresting cables! Takeoff would be even worse!

Yeahh. Made it. Okay, I was a bit cheating, because I did not use only the carrier runway but the whole carrier surface. Again a great mission. Especially the dialogs are good fun. Still laughing....
