HugsLib is complaining about some sort of incompatibility between this and Geological Landforms. For what it's worth, I've been playing for double-digit hours and I think I've had less wildlife spawn in that time than expected. @Arganot my mod is about quantity, you can set a numeric threshold for alerts, while the other one is about specific kinds of animals. Looks like we're covering different needs, mine being more about survival and the other is about flavour.

This is awesome, it does exactly what I want it to; Give an alert when predators enter the map. It's so damn helpful since I'm running a boatload of mods that add in wildlife, and some of these I would rather avoid if I can, or hunt if I must hah!

@sindri42 The core functions work, but the mod settings menu doesn't. Looks like they changed how mod menus work.

@Angrysquirrel setting up support for specific animals is possible but I don't have the time to expand the scope of this mod, sorry. I don't know what that might have been called.

Do you know if your mod or another mod will me know when a certain animal enters the map. I want to tame that creature. I used to have a mod that does this but I forgot what it was called. Thanks!

@Yoann, thanks for the report, I found the issue and fixed it. A small change was made to code that calls my code, so I had to change my code slightly.

The mod prevents the spawn of more than 1 wild animal on a new map (and give an alert at the spawn of a new map).
I tried only with new settlement (no encounter maps) after that no animal spawn after more one day on a desert map (so maybe prevent new spawn?)

Too bad, this mod could have been useful on my new game.

@PeasantUnit set the threshold to 1 in the settings, means only when there are less than 1 animals will it alert you on a new one appearing. Setting the threshold to 0 is the same as turning the mod off, which is a bit silly but I'm going to leave it that way.

@Geojak I copied the vanilla code and made some minor changes, the actual spawning code is no different to vanilla. If spawning code is changed in later versions this will need to be updated but until then, it is the same.

Hey lost RD, I saw that your prefix disables the vanilla animal spawn Funktion. Did you have the code of the vanilla Funktion? It makes me a bit reluctant to use your mod since I don't know if your mods spawning and the vanilla spawning is the same

Not sure about that one. This mod is really simple, it shouldn't cause any incompatibilities. Do you have any other mods that change the spawn mechanics of animals?

I noticed that the more mods you have the faster the notification disappears and eventually it stops working. Some kind of bug?

I would really like to supply you with a translation, but I missing a keyed xml file that contains strings that has to be translated.

@Vats I'm pretty sure my mod isn't changing vanilla spawns, but if the spawn code changed since 1.0, I might be. I'll have to look into it.

As a matter of fact, I think it's not sucking at all. It seems to me that the animal spawn generation is too high even at level 1. Under normal circumstances, I'd see like 1 iguana every 4 or 5 days, but I've seen 6 spawning at the same time on my map. The initial population generation might also be different compared to vanilla since most extreme desert maps spawn with 3 animals (this map had only 1).
