Would you mind if I make a patch mod to make some animals swimming? I'll have to use your grafics to make swimming textures. I can afterward remove it once you add that function yourself.
Hubertdragon1 29 aug om 12:18
so... any news from the spino, sarg?
Samuel_Bucher 26 jul om 3:07
This mod is dependent on Harmony, even though it says otherwise.
Victor 21 jul om 15:22
Many animals from this mod have a very low manhunterOnTameFailChance if compared to vanilla animals, was it a typo or is it intended?
WalrusMan 15 jul om 22:30
ah cool, well if he approves that option would be nice to keep the glacial plains' "gimmick" as having ice age fauna intact. I imagine you've got a lot to do tho so I'm sure it'd be pretty low priority lol
Sarg Bjornson  [auteur] 11 jul om 23:07
I can add new things to it, I just have to ask him first
WalrusMan 11 jul om 14:22
It'd be nice if we got an option to have most of the animals only spawn in the glacial biome added in oddysey to keep the unique prehistoric feel of it for a more vanilla run

And yeah they really should get new behaviors. I dont really think Spino is actively developing this though so its probably gonna stay as is
mikester112 10 jul om 0:57
I love this mod and glad its gotten a 1.6 update but I gotta ask if it's going to get an update to add the new animal behaviors from odyssey or maybe if it already has em.
Head 31 mei om 15:28
I found a small bug. None of the animals in this mod have a <soundEating> tag in their XML. This means that they're completely silent when eating. For all vanilla animals, there's XML tags like <soundEating>PredatorLarge_Eat</soundEating>, <soundEating>PredatorSmall_Eat</soundEating>, <soundEating>Herbivore_Eat</soundEating>, etc.

Amazing mod
Valhalla 5 mrt om 12:09
cool mod btw, are there any known issues with Vanilla Expanded mods? Had some issues in the past with other mods not spawning because of it for some reason.
Valhalla 5 mrt om 12:08
bro wtf happened in this comment section it looks like I just stumbled upon a war zone
uberjammer 12 feb om 23:32
@Spino Unfortunately, I hear that some people are trying to recreate the troll species using recovered DNA, so there may be more incidents. We should probably keep on avoiding bridges.
Spino  [auteur] 12 feb om 11:53
@uberjammer
Yes, you could say the troll who posted it indeed went extinct, the way he'll never be seen in this comment section ever again
uberjammer 12 feb om 5:18
Wait... was there a problem because of a comment that... went extinct...?
Aesonne 30 jan om 9:54
Is there a patch for compatibility for this and Animal Equipment? I really want to protect my prehistorical kitties from mean CE raiders :spiffo:
Hubertdragon1 17 jan om 15:37
thats ok
spincrus 17 jan om 12:17
So very sorry @Hubertdragon1 I didn't mean you.
Spino  [auteur] 17 jan om 11:24
@Hubertdragon1
Sorry, I've already deleted those messages so it might be a bit confusing now ;p
Hubertdragon1 17 jan om 9:41
how could i know, the only other message besides mine was spinos so i felt like i was the target lol
Sarg Bjornson  [auteur] 17 jan om 9:06
They aren't talking about you XDD
Hubertdragon1 17 jan om 9:01
@spincrus I love how you spread misinformation about me but ok
Spino  [auteur] 17 jan om 5:14
@spincrus
Thanks for letting me know, I already had him blocked but I'll go ahead and delete his comment now
spincrus 16 jan om 11:34
Don't get upset about that guy, he's just trolling people's mod comment sections.
Spino  [auteur] 8 jan om 15:09
@Hubertdragon1
Amphicyon is actually a whole genus and I was more so going for specific species of animals in this mod (hence the name change from Entelodont to Daeodon in one of the first updates).
As for Andrewsarchus, it wasn't an amphicyon so if there was to be an amphicyon in Megafauna, it'd have to be a separate animal (and unfortunately, I'm kinda done with adding new content to the mod).
Hubertdragon1 8 jan om 13:16
hey may i suggest name change from Andrewsarchus to Amphicyon?
VOID 23 dec 2024 om 9:51
Yeah, I was confused too. I sorted through my mod list using the 50/50 method and ever since removing this mod its fixed the menu problem. I'm not sure what else to make of it
Sarg Bjornson  [auteur] 23 dec 2024 om 6:10
Very unlikely. This mod just adds animals, and has almost zero custom code
VOID 23 dec 2024 om 6:03
I've found out this mod was causing issues with Dubs Mint Menus! It made the all the farming items disappear when i hovered over them!
M&M Chocolate Donut 5 dec 2024 om 15:20
I like the detail of this mod being compatible with... THAT mod and things are accurate either that or its the other way around? unsure.
Hubertdragon1 1 dec 2024 om 10:48
hey are there any chance for other animals to recieve voice update, like giving for example dinocrocuta an hyena voice (prehaps from VE) instead of an feline voice?
Mark Bobaba 13 nov 2024 om 6:53
@Brink I sometimes have this issue with these exact critters. If you zoom out and they appear in red they are hostile. It might be a mod interaction but I get it occassionally with other things on new maps.

Better get hunting!!
Sarg Bjornson  [auteur] 12 aug 2024 om 23:24
You still have something wrong on your side. This mod doesn't add any code, just XML animals
Brink 12 aug 2024 om 15:01
I recently started a new game in an arid shrub land. A gigantophis and titanis spawned but neither appear in the wildlife tab and I can't mark either for hunting or taming. The only other mods that should change animals are a couple "Biomes!" mods, "vanilla animals expanded", and "pathfinding framework"
Sarg Bjornson  [auteur] 21 jul 2024 om 5:14
Hard disagree on that one, chief
Mur Derer 21 jul 2024 om 2:59
Being side by side with vanilla animals expanded and just textures from VE seems kinda out of place because of the outdated look on this one
MadamGreene 4 jul 2024 om 13:38
How do I use the Megaloceros antlers for decoration?
retrobarbaari 23 jun 2024 om 13:28
Oh great, Stone Age run, here I come!
Spino  [auteur] 15 jun 2024 om 4:28
@Kerian Halcyon
I vaguely recall adding it just for the higher chance of bonding with colonists. These animals were initially supposed to be very rare and so once you've managed to tame one, I wanted it to feel special in your base :)
Kerian Halcyon 14 jun 2024 om 16:15
Right, I love this mod. It and Dinosauria kind of fulfills my child-like desires to have a menagerie of huge prehistoric monsters growing on my ranch, but I've got to ask...why do all the huge critters have a nuzzle interval?

I mean I'm not complaining, not in the slightest, but I find it more than a little morbidly amusing that someone can get nuzzled by a millipede the length of a small bus or a grizzly-sized otter on steroids every three days.
aero 22 mei 2024 om 13:10
You know what would be great? If someone made an audio overhaul for this since stuff like dinocrouta makes cougar noises
Gunk_Bunkus 8 mei 2024 om 8:52
Hey, I think the commonality sldier is broken or its a conflict with VAE. It has been over a quadrum in the tundra and I have never seen any of the mod animals. I never had this issue before 1.5.
Sir Cumcise 27 apr 2024 om 5:28
megafauna + anomaly is chef kiss
Pyl 17 apr 2024 om 1:00
Thank you Sarg!!
Sarg Bjornson  [auteur] 14 apr 2024 om 23:47
Then you don't have the latest version
shelbypup252 14 apr 2024 om 20:22
Heyo just wanted to say that I also installed it (and tried reinstalling it, etc) and it still says it's for 1.4 and incompatible with 1.5.
Spino  [auteur] 14 apr 2024 om 1:38
Once again, say thanks to Sarg for the 1.5 update, guys :lunar2019piginablanket:
Sarg Bjornson  [auteur] 13 apr 2024 om 11:58
You'll have to force Steam to update it if it refuses!
TheCure 13 apr 2024 om 11:51
I did install it but it does not appears at up to date for the 1.5
Sarg Bjornson  [auteur] 10 apr 2024 om 1:56
Yes, but I can't reach Spino
