Does this work for the Dragonborn DLC? I got the Bloodskal Blade and it is super weak now lol.

Perfect! I always rush through all the quests at the begining and end up with crappy uniques. I was afriad I'd have to wait until level 30 or something to start leveled quests so I could get the best experiance from them

Alright now it's working, i guess something went wrong before. Great mod!
TroKhe 16 Apr, 2014 @ 11:33am

Zar Ethos 10 Sep, 2013 @ 10:19pm
Wonderful mod! I'll definately look forward to using this in the future. also....
@tonycoolmen I've done the same myself, although i'll never forget the first one i tried making. I screwed it up, and up till i couldnt help but upgrade from the elven war axe i made, I was laughing like crazy whenever i brought out my 'Ass of Whiterun"
FoxBob22 29 Apr, 2013 @ 9:42am

@Sam, this is probably a bit late at this point, but I decided to do a fresh runthrough recently and noticed this post. I checked the script and the stats shouldn't drop on dragonbane, unless you added a second enchantment or improved it with the blacksmith. This mod does not maintain those upgrades. It simply removes the existing item and adds the next level version. So most likely the stat drop was because you sharpened the blade or enchanted it. To regain the stats, simply redo the sharpening or reapply the enchantment.
Sam 4 Aug, 2012 @ 3:04pm
I just gave it a try, but the stats on my dragonbane sword actually dropped. Is this a bug for that particular item? My character's level 52.
Consensus 15 Jul, 2012 @ 10:51pm
works like a charm
tonycoolmen 3 Jul, 2012 @ 12:16am
it's funny, i was gonna ask about thane reward items, but then i remembers ifs i want a stronger thane weapon, i can just go to the arcane enchanter and rename a powerful weapon so and so of such and such. or ax of whiterun.
Urai 21 Jun, 2012 @ 1:36pm
@Spacecase

The axe of whiterun isn't a leveled item, it's just a renamed axe with a basic enchantment on it.
SpacecaseJLP 17 Jun, 2012 @ 12:34pm
This mod doesn't work for me at all. I got the axe of whiterun at level 6. I'm level 27 and just went to try and upgrade it and nothing happened.
Puzzled Panda 3 Jun, 2012 @ 9:25am
Thanks for the mod, gonna check it out on the playthrough I'm starting soon(had to take a break for diablo 3 and max payne) I'll let ya know how it goes. :)
RexJayden 23 May, 2012 @ 12:27am
Is this mod still working?
TheeLostOne 12 May, 2012 @ 11:05pm
Hmm I dot get this mod, but then again i was a nord chaseing magic got drunk woke up hungover and had caught a random disease from a deadric prince XD

forceing me to start over again may come back to this mod if i see a need'

CapnCrook  [author] 7 May, 2012 @ 5:15pm
If I wanted to in game, I could achieve the same effect by playing through the game avoiding the specific quest lines until I reached an appropriate level. IMO that is an extremely frustrating way to play an open style game like skyrim. Thats why the mod works the way it does.
Oobi 7 May, 2012 @ 11:20am
I feel like there should be a relatively high cost for this service, would make it feel a little more balanced.
Sojourner202 6 May, 2012 @ 7:06pm
Like many things, if the mod will remove the fun for you then you don't have to subscribe to it, do you?
Jinopls 6 May, 2012 @ 7:22am
I can't even find it
Co Cane and Caviar 28 Apr, 2012 @ 1:47am
not not really i dont like how the loot system works powerful weapons should be rare but instead there inside every medium difficulty dungeon, when i get a powerful weapon i wanna be like yeah i raped 3 dragons and a goat for this :P but its actually like "ah another 5k gold weapon" *throws into storage never to be used*
Co Cane and Caviar 27 Apr, 2012 @ 12:01pm
great mod
Makujah 27 Apr, 2012 @ 2:41am
Meatman, read well: "allows you to upgrade any and all items in your inventory to the version that you would have recieved at your current level."
No Name 26 Apr, 2012 @ 6:17pm
Does this only affect Theives Guild leveled items or ALL items?
okiedokipanic 26 Apr, 2012 @ 2:21pm
hey if you need voice acting for any of your mods, please give me an email! elijahlucian@gmail.com

Makujah 25 Apr, 2012 @ 7:56am

Osmodius 25 Apr, 2012 @ 7:35am
Very awesome idea broskii, thanks.
melkyrion 24 Apr, 2012 @ 11:18am

Silon 24 Apr, 2012 @ 5:35am
@melkyrion I had the same thing but I disalbed any mods which changed Riverwood and that fixed it for me.
melkyrion 24 Apr, 2012 @ 4:45am
Everytime i approach the altar the game crashes
AdmiralTails 23 Apr, 2012 @ 7:59pm
The Daedric artifacts do no level, though their damage/armor rating/charge efficiency will increase based on the level of the skill associated with them, like all items, but their base stats and enchantment will be the same no matter what level you get them at. There are a few items though, that have multiple versions in the code, which one you get is based on your level at the time that the item is generated, and these are the leveled items that this mod is for.
CapnCrook  [author] 23 Apr, 2012 @ 7:38pm
Ye this is for leveled items, as in items which get there attributes based on your level when you acquire them. So things like mehrunes razor is unaffected. And yes it does not remove the enchantments that come with weapons.
Silon 23 Apr, 2012 @ 12:52pm
@AdmiralTails, Actually some of the Daedric Artifacts do level. Mehrunes Razor and Dawnbreaker do. I'm not sure about the rest.
Mag-piE 23 Apr, 2012 @ 9:51am
Actually AdmiralTails, you got a bloody good point there lol sorry about the enchantment thing Pheonix I forgot the levelled items are already enchanted it has been a few days (I think) since I last played lol... o.O my bad
AdmiralTails 23 Apr, 2012 @ 9:38am
@Gojosin, no, Deadric artifacts do not level (though many are only obtainable after you reach a certain level, highest being Boethia's, which requires lvl 30), unless you count the ebony blade becoming stronger by killing people who are friendly to you, but that's not controled by player level.
AdmiralTails 23 Apr, 2012 @ 9:36am
People complain about this removing enchantments, yet, all leveled items already have an enchantment, and thus cannot have enchantments added by the player. Are people really that eager to keep the weaker enchantment? All you really lose is smithing bonuses, which aren't that hard to regain.
Gojosin 23 Apr, 2012 @ 9:36am
So, only messes with these leveled items. Right. Seems Daedra weapons aren't leveled? Or do they auto-level... I is confused.
Mag-piE 23 Apr, 2012 @ 9:16am
@pheonix this looks like an excellent mod and I can't wait to try it out as some of my favourite weapons are all old and boring now, however; I too would like to see an enchantment version or option so that those weapons you truly loved and have added too them can retain their mystical powers.
CapnCrook  [author] 22 Apr, 2012 @ 8:17pm
I was thinking of adding that as a feature, but since you will only upgrade an item around 3-4 times for most cases (and there is only a handful of them), and since you have to go to the shrine to do so, I figured it would actually be kinda nice to add a better enchantment/re-smith at that point. Re-enchanting/smithing doesn't cost that much. If there is enough of a demand for something like that, I may look into it.
Storm_at_Sea 22 Apr, 2012 @ 12:56am
Are you planning on making a version that 'won't' remove enchantments/smithing. I smith a ton and while not a pure magical character- I do enchant my own armor/weapons often to give them extra damage/protection. Basically as is, I'd have to strip everytime and dump all weapons/armor. Think I'll track and see what happens, but can't use it like this. Good idea though.
Silon 21 Apr, 2012 @ 5:01pm
Ok with the mod i have that changes Riverwood turned off it works fine now.
CapnCrook  [author] 21 Apr, 2012 @ 4:05pm
i currently use it with no problems. the only other riverwood mod i have is one that adds a smelter though. i doubt there is any issue with this mod as again there is no active script.. its merely an on activate script that runs when you use the alter. if you have any riverwood mods that modify the same area of the map, then maybee that could cause problems.
coopjo45 21 Apr, 2012 @ 2:21pm
i'm considering getting this but ifrst is there any bugs? if not then ill go for it
Silon 21 Apr, 2012 @ 12:39pm
Maybe it has something to do with the other mods i have installed that change Riverwood. I'll try without those on.
CapnCrook  [author] 21 Apr, 2012 @ 7:33am
Your going to have to provide a bit more information for me to look into it. There's really not much too it other than the altar placed there and the script executed when you activate it so...
