I'd been using Open Cities Skyrim, and evidently didn't do a clean unistall of it, so the blacksmiths (and other NPCs) in some of the cities were in the Open worldspace rather than the normal Closed worldspace. My fault for botching the uninstall; once I did it correctly, everything worked fine and everyone was back where they should be.

Just the container called LItemBlacksmithMinimum which all blacksmiths get items from

Do you mean that you ahve changed vendor list?

aviermeister, what mod caused you problems?
Rudolf  [author] 20 Oct, 2012 @ 12:16pm
Genebris, this should not be an issue if they modify the container of the blacksmith or other trader. What I can see in the CS, each blacksmith or trader has its own container. I have not modified their container, only the list of common items which blacksmiths use as minimum items to trade. So it should be safe unless someone does exactly as I. I wanted my mod to have as little impact as possible.

So, if other mod will change blacksmiths container your mod willl not work? Can you add new container and put this item in this one. I have seen that normal merchants use 2 containers. 1 for normal items, second for Hearthfire items.

Figured it out, it was a different mod causing the issue. Works perfect now, thanks!

No, I have been running quite alot around after building materials and also selling equipment. Only problems with blacksmiths are they do not always survive dragon attacks :-/

This mod only adds to a shared container which all blacksmiths take items from, their common goods.

Have you run into any issues with some blacksmiths not working their store? The blacksmiths in Solitude, Riften, and Markarth disappeared on me; never showed up at their locations to sell goods. Not sure if it's this or one of the other new mods I recently added, but thought I'd mention it just in case. It's worked great for the other blacksmiths though!

I made a mod that allows you to buy stone blocks and clay too.
