Well, at the suggestion of some people, I'm starting a Patreon. Honestly, the mod was previously just made in some free time, but I think it could be a million times better... but that would require rebuilding a lot of the mod. I'm talking a better interface (I'm thinking an assistant daedra to help guide through the spellcrafting process), easier access to spellcrafting (maybe have said daedra able to be summoned by a specialty spell), and expanding the effects and attributes able to be crafted. I've got lots of ideas to improve this, but they're going to take a lot of time.

Personallly, I find this unusable without some sort of guide. I'm not looking for one to spell (haha) everything out, but it would be nice to at least know what type of spell I am working on. I can't tell if I'm working on an alteration spell or destruction spell. I don't mind experimenting to find cost, range, cast speed, or whatever the traits are.

And since you require a target for these spells, a non-hostile person/target (that can lose health and be affected by flee and other spells) would be nice.

Just to be clear, I love the concept.

If you're standing on the bed in the archmage quarters, and face at the entrace (through the wall), there should be a glowing gateway on the wall inbetween you.

I honestly have never done a run-through where it didn't show up, so if it's not there, I don't know why.

I don't know if this mod is dead or not but I have a problem, where is the gate to the spellcrafting?
I have looked around the enitre archmage's quarters and could not find it.
Do I need to start a new run for it to appear?

just an idea: would be awesome to have textures / visual effects of one spell, color of another, and effect of another. having that customizability would be absolutely incredible.

It won't have all the changes I made before I got a chance to upload and comp crashed . I'll likely get around to it (which is a pity, as Doht had more work put into it than Ayem, Bedt, and Cess combined). My current (tenative!) plan is to get around to working on it around winter vacation. At that point, I'm going to try and get it much closer to the crafting system in morrowind/oblivion. Also, I've been talking with the people at TESrenewal project, and it will probably be included there too to assist with their magic crafting.

Sure. Me, I was looking forward to the paid mods. Sure there were a lot of spammy ones at the beginning, but I figured it'd give the opportunity to actually see a rise in full DLC-quality mods in the future. Oh well. :/

Yes. Trick is doing enough experimentation to figure it out. Even I can't tell you off hand exactly how to make it (or any... except for the snowstorm of death which is what you get if you start off with all values in starting default positions.)

@Pr. The Mod allows you to craft new spells based on combinging and affecting targets of spell effects that exist within the game. It doesn't add new spell effects, but it does add the ability to craft new spells (albeit with a lot of trial and error on the part of the experimentor.)

@Germy I'm pretty sure I got the drain effects on there if memory serves me correctly (I was playing around with my mod and I recall unintenntially drain effect on it.

@Germy I've tried it with both, they don't keep it from working and it doesn't conflict with them, if that's what you mean. But if you're asking if it uses their spell effects, then no, it doesn't. I had to code each one in by hand, and I just haven't had the time to update it (and when I do get around to updating it again, my first goal is to make it a LOT more user friendly... figured out a good way to do it... basically it'll make use of a daedra and a lot of the settings to developing the spell will be done through dialog... however, it's a lot of work coming with time I don't have at present.)

Because, as it stands, I have to focus my time on trying to do stuff that actually can pay. As much as I love this mod and want to improve it, make guides, and more, honestly I'm struggling to make ends meet doing freelance work, so I don't actually get to have free time for something like this sense my time I have to spend on financial stuff. When I get steady work again, I'll probably revisit the mod and do things like that, but for now, I have to be responsible for more of the hours of the day. :/

There's no guest or anything. As part of completeing the mage's guild quest line, you are given the key to the archmage's quarters. The door to the crafting area is inside the archmage's quarters.

It's in the archmage chambers, you have to complete the mage's guild quest (hence the name "archmage" spellcrafting. :D )

About your mod dragon slave mabye make that a spell tome sitting on the benches in the demi-plane you dont have to combine the mods into one but take all the effects of that spell and implement it. Before you ask i saw the NRU.
