Update: 18 Nov, 2020 @ 4:28am

Updated descriptor file.

Added a modified 00_scripted_variables file.

Update: 14 Nov, 2020 @ 6:31am

Added integrated planet-scale patching for the planet types added in Planetary Diversity.

Update: 14 Nov, 2020 @ 1:01am

# of moons spawned in miscellaneous systems slightly reduced

Planets/rings added by Guilli's Modifiers should now scale correctly
(built in patch added, so long as this comes after it in your load order)

Adjusted habitable moon sizes (Raised minimum size to 10 from 6. A size 6 planet or moon barely has the mass to be spherical - let alone retain at atmosphere for geological periods of time)

Update: 9 Nov, 2020 @ 7:39pm

-Changed misc_system_initializers

Previously, I had miscellaneous systems generate their planets in two "zones" - one inner, and one outer.
The "inner zone" could spawn between 1 and 4 planets, 10 to 40 distance apart, & could have 0 to 2 moons each.
The "outer zone" could spawn between 1 and 6 planets, 40 to 110 distance apart, & could have 0 to 2 moons each.

While this created more realistic, and more interesting, star systems than vanilla Stellaris - I was never 100% happy with it.

I've decided to make the system generation a little less abstract, and a little more prescriptive - modeling more closely typical Dwarf Star systems. Instead of only two "zones", most stars now have four: Inner, Habitable, Gas Giants, & Outer.
The inner zone will spawn 1 to 3 planets, 2 to 5 distance apart, with no possibility for moons.
The habitable zone will spawn 1 to 3 planets, 5 to 15 distance apart, with up to 2 moons each.
The gas giant zone will spawn 1 to 2 gas giants, 50 to 100 distance apart, with up to 10 moons each.
The outer zone will spawn 1 to 2 planets, 100 to 130 distance apart, with up to 4 moons each.

(Trinary and Binary star systems are the exception to this new formula, and typically have the first three "zones" - in order to avoid overlapping spheres of influence between the stars.)

I was going to play around with this for a few days before pushing the update, but I was so impressed with the initial results that I decided to share it immediately.
I /may/ eventually roll out these changes to the other systems - but, for now, only the miscellaneous (non-special) systems will spawn with the new rules.

Update: 8 Nov, 2020 @ 7:11pm

-Changed Star/Planet names.
Replaced auto-generated Stellaris names with the proper names.

-Moved new Star systems to standalone mss_initializers file.
Should help to maximize compatibility.

-Lowered added stars' spawn %
Still pretty high. Might lower again later.

Update: 31 Oct, 2020 @ 12:09am

-Planet textures compressed
-Moon scale adjusted to 0.7
-Dry planets will now spawn in the inner edge of the habitable zone (10-30 distance)
-Temperate planets will now spawn in the middle zone of the habitable zone (25-45 distance)
-Cold planets will now spawn in the outer edge of the habitable zone (40-60 distance)
-Generated moons should now orbit their parent body more closely
-More planets have the potential to have moons
-Resized Proxima Centauri (previous size was based off of mass, not radius)
-Adjusted Saturn's moons - hopefully no more clipping textures

-Tweaked adjusted size scale:
[object : size range]
Asteroids: 2-6
Dwarf Planets & Moons: 7-12
Planets: 12-22
Gas Planets: 21-34
Brown Dwarfs: 31-34
Red Dwarfs: 30-51
Orange Dwarfs: 47-58
Yellow Dwarfs: 59-67
Yellow-White Dwarfs: 65-68
Blue-White Dwarfs: 69-72
Blue Dwarfs: 78-139

Update: 30 Oct, 2020 @ 8:27am

-New Jupiter texture
-Updated literally every solar_system_initialers file
(So, so many updated systems.)
-Red Giants and Brown Dwarfs now included
-Updates defines to be compatible with 2.8
-Probably some other stuff that I'm forgetting!

Update: 12 Mar, 2018 @ 3:34am

Moons can now orbit even closer to their parent planets.

Update: 12 Mar, 2018 @ 3:15am

Slightly adjusted ship/station orbit distance.
Will continue to tweak.
