Hot Fix 5.1.2

  • Barbarian Woodworkers are now obtainable from both Major and Minor settlements.
  • All types of siege towers, which were already equivalent in terms of functionality (that is to say, able to climb 15m or 8m walls indifferently), are now available as "Medium" siege towers. For avoiding unexpcted anomalies during assaults, heavy and light towers still exist but have been set as "not available" in the "Siege Weapon Selection" panel that appears when you siege a settlement. AI is meant to follow the same restrictons.
  • Updated the chat "discussion" with alerts about sea assaults.

Hot Fix 5.1.1

  • Enabled Dac_Scorpion and Dac_Scorpion_Bastion in the Unit Allowed Table. For some reasons it was missing from the last update.

Update: 29 Jun, 2016 @ 1:51pm

Version 5.1b

  • Barbarian Province Capital Cities get back their original Vanilla walls. This is necessary to prevent disembark situations and related FPS problems.
  • Woodworkers can still be built in Major Settlements, even if they don't place walls anymore.

Update: 29 Jun, 2016 @ 12:43pm

Version 5.1a

  • With the exception of Barbarians, who only receive Dacian Scorpions, Field Artillery is now availale from both Siege Workshops and Military Barracks. Siege workshops also give advanced artillery.
  • Fixed the "Bastion Artillery" bug that was duplicating Bastion Artillery items in land armies.

Update: 14 Jun, 2016 @ 2:44pm

Version 5.0.8 - Siege artillery Fix pack

  • More siege weapons allowed and enabled in the selection menu that appears when you start a siege of a walled settlement.
  • All 8m siege weapons are now fully adaptable to 15m walls and viceversa.
  • Fixed an issue that was occurring in some specific situations, when sieging province capitals.

Update: 11 Jun, 2016 @ 10:33pm

Version 5.0.3

Removed conflicts with some mods that use garrison group names not in use anymore in Realistic City Defense.

Update: 8 Jun, 2016 @ 12:48am

Version 5.0.2

Fixed Armenian garrison, who were unintentionally receiving two different qualities of melee cavalry instead of one.

Update: 8 Jun, 2016 @ 12:28am

Version 5.0.1

Fixed the walled minor cities issue where it could happen that ladders were shorter than map walls. I have positively tested this new version in some eastern settlements. In need of players feedback in other settlements.

Update: 31 May, 2016 @ 2:51pm

Version 5.0b - Fixed Neptune and Poseidon bugs with naval garrisons.

You won't get garrisoned ships anymore from building temples to sea Gods cause of incompatibility issues with saved games. You now get Spearmen (if greek) and Aux Archers (if romans) from those temples.

Update: 30 May, 2016 @ 1:16pm

Version 5.0a - Historical Artillery and Siege Weapons

The only historical barbarian faction allowed to use a specific arrow-shooter is Dacia and they made a "walled" version that was used as a defense weapon. All other weapons have been removed from the barbarian campaign.

Non barbarian factions have access to artillery according to the following rules :

  • Greeks already knew and used Balista, Giant Balista, Scorpion (fixed) at the campaign start date thus you will be able to recruit those units, directly from your ranged unit barracks lv. 2. No need to research.
  • Eastern factions that were influenced by Greeks, can get easy access to Scorpion (fixed), Balista and Giant Balista via barracks (from lv2 to lv4). No need to research.
  • Romans started building Scorpion (fixed), Cheirobalista and Balista after 146 BC, when they conquered the Greek states, so you can unlock them in the latest Barracks lv 4 without need for technology research (only special operator training required).
  • For Romans to get access to GIant Balista and Polybolos you will need research, timber and Siege shops Lv 2. Polybolos was projected by Dyonisius from Alexandria but never used by Greeks. Romans might not have been frequent Polybolos users but there are archaelogical findings that open interesting scenarios about them using "Repeating Balistas".
  • For Romans to access Onagers, Large Onagers and Onager ships you will need research, timber and Siege shops Lv 3 cause Onagers came from imperial projects.
  • Onagers, Cheirobalistas and the legendary Polybolos remain allowed to Romans only.
  • Special land Beehive, Snake and Pot shooters are temporarily deactivated in roasters of all factions able to build Balistas, mostly for game balance reasons.
  • All Bastion artillery (for city defense) is uniquely provided by Siege Workshops (Dacians get Bastion Scorpions from Woodworkers).
  • Except for Romans, Siege Workshops aren't needed for unlocking artillery weapons anymore (artillery weapons are gained directly from Barracks). Lv 3 Siege Workshops and Woodworkers still let you build walls in minor cities (capital cities for barbarians) and gain strong archers/slingers in your garrison.
