for maps cq22. cq23. cq24. cq25. all mission files have been updated

for cq23. cq24. then for each folder includes mission files as follows:

1. americans fighting germans
2. russians fighting germans

cq25 only featuring one mission file which is 1. russians fighting germans

some tidying up

in the meantime updates have ceased, but in time will begin again. all the same all maps are very ideal for mucking around on.

Mission files in cq19. cq20. cq21. have been updated

for resource
- added set folder
- added sound folder

for cq19
- added ally vehicle corpses
- added smoke and fire fx
- tweaked impregnability to full for a lot of walls
so they not destroy once hit by shellfire
although, some walls when set to full even harmless via impregnability still can destroy
- updated minimap for cq19

For cq19 I added in another bridge as the german Ai after spawning in where bunching up to much near the water on right side from player view (left side enemy view) and it has worked as the german soldiers, where they was bunching up well, now they bunch up much less while using the extra bridge to run through to

As a result of this is why the minimap for cq19 was updated as now on minimap are two bridges seen instead of one

- lots of tidying up to cq18 including mission file 1.
- tweaked german spawn waypoints
- tweaked impregnability to full for a lot of walls
which means a lot of walls will not destroy when hit by artillery rockets
- added grenade blast stamps and smoke and fire fx
and other stamps like shellhole_dead etc
- added ally vehicle corpses

a lot of map work is due to be tidied up after cq18

map in focus now is cq19.

IMPORTANT TIP
Mission state is your Best Friend
You need to be "in-game" to use Mission state
Say in cq18 and there is no more German soldiers spawning into game, so while artillery big_guns and game_smoke continues to repeat on a trigger, then pressing f3 then f8 will bring on screen the Mission state window and then scrolling all the way down to waves/germans and to the right you see a little square box and each time you tick this box then a new wave of Germans will come running into game.

Also when you eventually run out of ally reinforcement tabs which are seen to the right of your screen when in-game via f1, then where you last clicked on battleground using last reinforcement tab then is where your ally soldiers will spawn in at each time you use the Mission state using same method as above.

While still in Mission state window then scrolling back up to where it reads reinforcements/allies_active and again see the little square box at the end to the right and off you go.

If you cannot find your troops after using Mission state then using Mission state again this time as you click little square box then keeping eyes peeled to the minimap and wait for the red blob of allies to pop up.

Mission files in cq12. cq13 and cq14 have been reworked including artillery/big_guns script added while some tidying up to map designs.

For cq13 map design there was buildings I had used from Liberation update so I replaced these with buildings from MoW2 mod so keeping it to the original close quarter as how it was first created using MoW2 mod.

Mission files in cq9. cq10 and cq11 has had script tidied up including artillery/big_guns script added in to.

Artillery/big_guns script is artillery barrage that will come into game and triggered to repeat every 200secs editor time.

The delay time you can change yourself in delay/commands.

Updates are ongoing for all mission files between cq12 and cq24.

When the Commonwealth-British DLC is released then this too will will feature in original close quarter and close quarter reworked as well. The British lads will either be a part of allies squad reinforcements tab which includes the Americans or British lads setup as a separate reinforcement tab. When the British Lads DLC is released then it will be the cherry on the top for the close quarter series.

For mission files from cq6 leading up to misison files mentioned above then Russia versus Germany mission file 1. has gone now and mission file 1. remaining still only this time featuring Americans versus Germans.

From cq1 to cq5 then mission files as follows..

1. Russians versus Germans
2. Americans versus Germans

cq6 onwards to cq23 will eventually feature only mission file 1.

Tip..
You need to destroy German machine guns as they are scripted so when German soldiers are knocked off them then nearby Germans will remount machine guns and continue firing.

For the Americans machine guns and mortar weapon are scripted the same only this time all weapons are set at full via impregnability in game properties meaning when they are hit by shell fire then they will remain intact and still operable.

Mod folder setup fixed and tested and finally working.

A lot of maps will load up out of minimap range. I don't know why it does this as I always save in map range. Overall, upon loading up map then a simple click on minimap will put you back into map range itself.

From cq1 to cq5 I have added in artillery/big_guns script which is artillery barrage that will come into game on a trigger to repeat every 200secs editor time.

This artillery/big_guns script will be added into all maps while in a lot of mission files already the artillery or mortar barrage script is already added but needs to be updated with event and triggers added so artillery barrages will repeat throughout game play.

From cq6 onwards to cq24 soon will feature only Americans versus Germans as I think it looks a little odd with the Russians seen in the French towns.

For now Russians stay in but soon mission file 1. will be taken out and instead to be replaced by the Americans fighting the Germans.

And so this will be mission file 1. This will happen in future updates. Mission file 1. featuring Russians versus Germans will stay in cq25.

When beginning mission files and after executing infantry spread then soldiers upon scattering will automatically remount weapons that are spread out as the machine guns and mortar weapons and field cannons to have been scripted.

When soldiers are knocked off scripted weapons then nearby soldiers will automatically remount weapons and continue firing. This is the same for the Germans weapons as well.

The wind_mill2 as seen in a lot of maps can be used for placing snipers in.

Also in a lot of map designs (f2) there is tree_attach added for the same for placing snipers in.

You nay encounter red blobs that can easily be deleted and also blue men which is a result of textures missing from soldiers.

For ORIGINAL CLOSE QUARTER all 25 maps have mission files for both Russians versus Germans and also Americans versus Germans. The mission files are as follows..

Mission files
1. Russians versus Germans
2. Americans versus Germans

All map designs is created using MoW2 Mod and Contact Mod and must be subscribed to as seen in required items panel seen to the right.

You may experience the terrible sluggish lag depending on your rig setup as a lot of mission files and maps mainly have a lot of information added. So as a peace of mind its wise to turn down graphics before starting mission files.
