Major Update!
New Squigs
Both new squigs (along with the bigger version of the Flappy Squigs) are considered "Rare." Rare squigs have unit caps, sprinkling in some exotic Squigs into your army without overwhelming the roster.
  • Horned Squig Herd - A variant of the normal Squig Herd, with a large horn that improves its Charge. Slightly better than normal Squig Herds, but you only get a couple per Squig building.
  • Tomb Squig Herd - A breed of Squig that lurks in dank tombs, preying on would-be treasure hunters. Pale and without pigment, with overdeveloped lower fangs and a stealthy disposition. Recruited from tomb Landmarks, but Azhag has special access! He is able to recruit them from any Squig building, though still with a unit cap, and gains an extra buff to them if he captures his special Vampire Counts landmark.

Partypus Squigs Out!
This section's content all comes from Partypus, a fine graphic artist and modder!
  • Squig Boats - Night Goblin characters gain the Squig boats from Partypus's Great Sea Cruise when sailing on the campaign map. Skarsnik, Night Goblin lords, and Night Goblin heroes all get a different boat. Both mods are of course compatible!
  • Unit Category Icons - Many Squigs now have custom icons to show their unit category. These are the icons on the frame of the unit card, or on the banner above their head in battle. Flappy Squigs show their wings, and Squiglings look like the swarm of nibblings that they are.

Reskin
  • Pupils - All Squig types (except spooky Tomb Squigs) now have pupils. This makes the species consistent, since recently added DLC Squigs had pupils, and older Squigs did not. Don't worry, they don't all look as crazy as Squiglings.
  • Squig Herd adjustment - Squig Herds are just a LITTLE brighter/more saturated, to match the other types without being cartoonish.
  • Fixed Squig gums - You will no longer see certain Squigs' gums through their lips when they pant. Please honor the sacrifice of the many Night Goblins who died trying to be Squig periodontists.

Mechanic Integration
  • Scrap Upgrades - Added more diverse Scrap Upgrades for the new Squig units. They're pretty modest/balanced.
  • Skarsnik-only Scrap Upgrade - Skarsnik has a unique Scrap Upgrade already for Night Goblins, which includes Squig Hoppas. To avoid this creating a competitive advantage for the Hoppas which discourages the Squiggiest Legendary Lord from recruiting various Squig Herds, Skarsnik now also has a unique Scrap Upgrade for Squigs (a bucket of grubs to feed them with).
  • Gorbad's Plan - Improved integration with Gorbad's Da Plan mechanic.
  • Grom's Cooking - Improved integration with Grom's Cooking. Flying Squigs get the most integration, giving Grom a very minor niche in terms of Squigs, if you want.
  • Technology - Added unridden Squig herds to the Squig Hoppas technology, since otherwise they get NOTHING from tech other than +2 recruit rank, rendering them uncompetitive in lategame.

Traits
Greenskins have very few traits. These two are Squig-focused but also include other units, to avoid making your playthrough TOO Squiggy.
  • Flappy - Goblin characters (but not Night Goblins) may randomly have the Flappy trait (which represents having survived being shot out of a catapult as a Doom Diver in their youth), bolstering flying units, including flying Squigs.
  • Monsta Hunta - Savage Orcs may randomly have the Monsta Hunta trait, bolstering big Squigs and big monsters.
