Hotfix and final patch of the mod. Unless something breaks, the game gets updated with completely new mechanics better suited to the unit, or Germany decides to completely change the arsenal of the last three decades, the mod can be officially considered complete.

Thanks to all the people who’ve put their time and passion into the development of this project, and thanks to you all, the players, for your comments, suggestions, and positive feedback (and especially to the German community — you guys are crazy, not even in my wildest dreams would I have expected such a response, you rock!).


Version 3.3.0c

  • Removed the Breacher Shotgun all together from the initial loadout. You'll need to actually unlock it in order to use it whenever you create a new squad.
  • Fixed multiple missing doctrine descriptions when you didn't unlock the course.
  • Added the HK417A2 as the G27K. A new, and last, gun for the unit. Available to squad leaders, machine-gunners and marksmen, it is a full-auto G28 but without sucking at close range. You will have to pay quite a bit for it, so better start saving the 12 stars it costs.

At last custom doctrines for ze Germans. Bear in mind that there has been multiple changes related to the squad level, including doctrine points. Although you can simply reset the doctrine tree and there shouldn't be any problem, it is likely to bug, so, if for some reason you end with negative points AFTER resetting the tree, you will need to make a new squad.

NEW CONTENT

  • Added HK416A8. The G95A1, as the new German service rifle has been added to the squad. It costs 7BH to fully unlock, so you won't be able to see it for a while.
  • Added custom doctrines. It has been a while, but the Germans finally have their own custom doctrine tree. In order to make it effective you will need to reset the tree, so bear it in mind.
  • Added MP7A2 PDW to several units. It is usually given to vehicle drivers and ranks not expected to see combat. However, you'll be able to use it with medics, leaders and AT gunners.
  • New uniforms available if In-game Camo Selector is used.
  • Updated several icons and descriptions.

    REBALANCE

  • Reduced squad max level to Level 15. You can fully complete the doctrine tree, however, with the default max Level 16, you still had 2 extra doctrine points that you couldn't spend on anything. I haven't found any problem with this change, but if you find that you still have 2 doctrine points unused on your old squad, you know the reason.
  • Replaced the Eurofighter Typhoon with a Panavia Tornado. It doesn't matter much because the rest of the effect is the same, but well, now it is closer to what the Luftwaffe would actually use.
  • Cut the Airstrike uses by half. It can be increased to previous values via doctrine.
  • Increased weight of the MG4. with the doctrines applied your gunners could move faster than actual riflemen.

    BUG FIXES

  • Grenadier starting AG36K doesn't use Ironsights anymore.
  • Trauma kit doesn't move anymore. It always worked at the feet of the user, however, because of how the game works, it could be moved like a grenade, despite not being possible to throw it. Now no matter how much you move the cursor, the area won't move from your medic's feet, making much easier to predict where will heal.
  • Rearranged the initial equipment for the whole unit. Unless you create a new squad you won't benefit from it, but it will from now on.

  • Added Holosight + 3x Magnifier combo.
  • Some new extra portraits. Now there is at least enough to fill a squad without repeating faces!

    More content will come at a later date, but for now, this project will be slowing down the development while I focus on my other projects, if you find any bug, error, or something that is broken, don't doubt to report it!


    REBALANCE

  • Not exactly a rebalance, but the holosight now uses the correct image displaying the actual in-game model instead of vanilla.

NEW CONTENT

  • New portraits have been added and replaced the old ones. Following the new default camo, the new portraits feature a desert pattern instead of Flecktarn, that, I know it isn't exactly the first thing you think about when you hear the word "Germany", but let's be honest, it fits better than going in forest colors in the middle of a desert. Expect more to come now that the biggest obstacle that was creating a decent body has been cleared.

    BUG FIXES

  • Added camo name, description and icon for the Interpreter. It was perfectly functional before, but now you won't see a rainbow-colored box when using Camo Selector.
  • Replaced Korporal and Stabskorporal ranks with their proper insignias. I tried to follow the suggestions and recommendations that was given to me, but they didn't look good at all in-game, so I chose clarity over fidelity this time. I hope you guys can forgive me.
  • Suppressed DM11 is now correctly discounted from suppressed weapons when purchased. A small slip, sorry for that, you will get your 2 stars back when you update the mod.
  • Backend work. Given suppressed guns to all units. What does this mean? That you can now copy-paste suppressed guns from one loadout to another. Thanks to alex from the DK2 server for the fix while I was working on other things.

Hotfix for the Medic Bag

  • The Interpreter and Medic icons are slightly smaller. Instead of 64x64 now are 48x48, more fitting for the deploy screen.

  • The Medic found his backpack. He forgot it under the bed before getting into the helicopter.
