Update of 4/8/2025
Overall: 1. Fixed a bug in the vanilla tributary system code to prevent AI from mindlessly offering tribute to other regimes too easily.
2. Disabled Alfred's legendary seed due to erroneous code causing repeated error spam.
3. Standardized the naming of some files and removed redundant files (ongoing project cleanup).
4.Implemented the previously planned easter egg characters.
5. Replaced some low-resolution decision background images.
6. Added game rule toggles at game start: One enables/disables easter egg characters; another adds a new rule allowing the addition of starting buildings to each county based on its Development Level.
7. Modified the map font
8. Deleted some anachronistic artifacts
Flavor Updates:
1.Added the Maniots to the southern tip of the Peloponnese. They claim descent from the Spartans and practice Hellenic Polytheism.
2.Adjusted the cultural and religious distribution within the Byzantine Empire.
3.The Lombard Kingdom now has a new decision and corresponding events to unify Italy.
4.The Merovingian dynasty can now remove the "Roi Fainéant" (Do-Nothing King) debuff upon meeting certain conditions (localization text for the debuff was also optimized).
5.Added the new Saqaliba culture to Syria.
6.Added new Jewish cultures and the Jewish sect, the Isawiyya. A Jewish adventurer nicknamed "The Shepherd" is also added at an appropriate start date.
7.Optimized decisions in the Bactria region. The Bactrian culture can now also form Bactria.
8.The decision to sponsor Gandharan art is no longer culture-locked and only requires the ruler to be Buddhist.
9,Several one-time decisions are now repeatable. Their effects have been changed from permanent to temporary (20-year duration).
10.Added new Buddhist decisions: Chanting Sutras, Choosing a Protective Talisman for Children (also available for Taoism), and Excavating Grottoes (only available in the Hexi region).
11.Optimized various decisions related to granting titles.
12.Historically refined the Tocharistan region: Split into the realms of Kumedh, Khulm, and Chaghaniyan. The lineages of the existing realms of Khuttal and Shughnan were reworked based on historical sources like the Cefu Yuangui.
13.Optimized the Ferghana lineage. Rulers of Ferghana will now be styled as "Ikhshid". At the start date, Western Ferghana (centered on Khujand) and Eastern Ferghana (centered on Kasan) now exist (both have new unique buildings, and some anachronistic modern place names were optimized).
14.Increased the starting herd numbers for several Khans. Modified the effects of several steppe-related unique buildings to better suit the nomadic government system.
15.Continued filling in the Ashina clan lineage, reworked the Uyghur Yaghlakar lineage, added the Tiele Sijie tribe, and added the Xueyantuo culture. Added numerous characters required for future map expansions to the east (including descendants of Emperor Yang of Sui surviving into the 8th century, etc.).
16.Added the Irminsul wonder to the Saxony region.
17.The "Struggle for Transoxiana" has been disabled; its decision has been moved to the Serindia decisions category.
18.Countries with a tribal government will now use nomadic-style naming.
Unfinished Content:
1.The "Situation System" delayed due to computer failure.
2.Over a dozen historical events and historical invasions where the text is complete but triggers/effects are still pending.
3.Some cultures require minor adjustments; an update is expected within the next day or two.
4.To be continued...
