The goal of this update is to incorporate the competitive ruleset into all levels of play to prevent toxic play on both competitive and casual environments, as well as both nerfing stalling with a low ceiling and increased sadness gain and buffing the margin of error with increased burst regeneration, reduced damage modifier, and DI combo scaling.
- Sadness gain has been increased to 2x (from 1x).
+ Burst regeneration speed has been increased to 2x (from 1x).
- Default damage modifier has been reduced to 1.7x (from 2x).
* Ceiling has been re-enabled by default at a height of 500.
- DI Combo Scaling limit has been reduced to 8 (from 15).
* Nobody dies outside of the ring after the game ends now. This does not show correctly in predictions and has no bearing on actual gameplay, it's just because it was really silly seeing the game say P1 wins promptly followed by them eating shit while P2 stands there just fine.
- Removed the particle effects at the boundaries of the ring in exchange for simply extending the boundary lines up past the ground. Attempting to help solve the bizarre performance issues the gamemode has.

- The DQ timer no longer refreshes until you re-enter the bounds of the ring, meaning shorthop stalling outside the ring is no longer possible.
- Changed the default match timer from 480 ticks to 600 ticks.
