Set the shield effectiveness to .2 after reading some info on the discord about the lower setting reducing incoming damage.
Unless this is a weird way of balancing damage from track and players. Not sure if I can make it the solid nugget I intended the ship to be.

Experimenting with combat settings.
Set combat effect to 0.02
Set shield effect to 2.0 from 10

Unsure if the game has a nerf function for setting it too high in the editor.
