More Pet Food Obtainability, Patch 3.4.3, March 3, 2025
Pet Food can now drop from Trees with 10% chance for 1 to 2 of it (possibly rarer due to other items being on the table)
Added more than 15+ recipes to craft Pet Food, where value is usually slightly greater than directly selling to NPC, including recipes with Plants (Herbs etc), Critters, Cooked Fish & More.
Byproduct of new recipes, added 4 more Recipe Groups.
Improved Chinese Translation. By: ROH

Balance Changes
Pet food is now worth 12.5 Harvesting Exp for Junimo (Intended for when Trees are shaked)

Its Angler Quest cap is too high + Pet is doing well overall among all Fishing Pets.
Zephyr Fish
Reduced max Angler Quest bonus to 20% from 40% (capped at 50 quests rather than 100)

Since last patch with its bug fixes, Tiny Fishron got WAY worse than before especially with non well-established Fishing Builds. So reducing both outrageous 200 Quest cap, and making it better for when your gear is a bit bad.
Tiny Fishron
Increased base Fishing Power Multiplier to 0.75x from 0.5x
Reduced max Angler Quest bonus mult to 0.25x from 0.5x (Total being 1x unchanged, requires 100 quests to be capped rather than 200)

Pet is good, VERY happy with how it is and the utility it provides. BUT. There is a but. Pet does provide FAR too much power when obtaining Loot Bags, such as Boss Bags, as the Pet would both increase chance to drop the bag itself + contents of the bag/crate or whatever it is. Shadow Mimic will keep its loot bag buffing powers, but not be able to drop more loot bags no more! On top of this, treshold for rare drops is now higher; It makes more sense for you to drop ONE MM Relic or MM Pet.
Shadow Mimic
Both Buffs now ignore Loot Bags, Crates Etc., but not their contents.
Increased Rare Drop Threshold to be 25% or lower from 10% or lower.

Light Pet Tooltips now work same way as regular Pet Tooltips, they are inserted in the tooltip correctly. This also reduces lines of unnecessary code, more of the stuff is done in LightPetItem Classes code now. Done by: ROH
Pet Forge now has its unique Inventory & Placed sprites. Drawn by: Piper
Removed 'Furnace recolor' line from tooltips accordingly.
Re-Sprited Mauled, Queen's Damnation and Honey Overdose debuffs sprites to be more Terraria-Like. Drawn by: konte1m

Changed update order of Shark Pup's Fishing Power bonus for consistency among all Pets
Ambient Pet Sound effects are now only played on the Clientside.
Changed Enable/Disable Ambient Pet Sound effect config option to be a option slider, ranging it to be never played, played rarely, played normally, played commonly, so now its adjustable that how common Pet Ambient sound effects are played.
Now Sound playing code(s) are more efficient. Config options directly disable their respective Sound Playing methods.
Removed unused recipe method.
Moved Pet Forge Item code to Items folder.
Added Mod Compatibility with Census Mod to show requirements of Pet Tamer, added Localization value for it.
Fixed Diva Slime providing its refund with items that have been sold to NPC and re-bought back, allowing for infinite money gain exploit.
Mod Description(s) now mentions how to obtain Pet Tamer
Extended the credits in Mod Description(s) to include more community members with what they've done respectively.
Balance Changes
I just think these Research values fit better. Especially Egg being 99 is a bit high, so adjusting accordingly.
Mastery Shard now requires 3 of them to be researched in Journey Mode rather than 1, Egg now requires 30 rather than 99, and Pet food requires 100 rather than 99.

Was kind-of bugged. You would sometimes die to DoT effects while being under the Frozen Tomb, AKA Guardian Angel effect. Changes should allow you to have some natural life regen while under the Frozen Tomb aswell.
Ice Queen
Now while under effects of Frozen Tomb, sets your negative life regen to 0, and has a safety-net set just in case afterwards too.

Even after spamming Mana, the Pet just couldn't provide enough power compared to some other Magic Pet options as it was shown by @DOOM with their research of the Pet. Buffing its potential with full-mana builds.
Estee
Increased magic damage increase per 1 mana to 0.115% from 0.1%.

These are Bug Fixes, but they truly are more of a 'Balance Change'. Pet should be now WAY worse when you have bad gear, and better when you have good gear (and high Angler Quest count). Ex: 100 FP with 0 Angler Quests done before would give you around 25%~ chance to increase your fishing drops and 150 Fishing Power after multiplier (bugged to increase the FP additively), now with same example, you will have around 60%~ chance to increase your fishing drops and 50 fishing power with correct multiplier.
Tiny Fishron
Fixed not taking in entire Fishing Power of Player when trying to multiply catches, but rather 'bonus' fishing power amount, resulting in far lower values than intended.
Fixed increasing Fishing Power multiplier by a flat amount, rather than directly multiplying.

Including this here, since same change as Tiny Fishron has been done for the FP multiplier. Should make the bonus more consistent.

Fixed Egg item obtained by Blue Chicken requiring both Furnace and Cooking Pots to craft a Fried Egg. Now only requires Cooking Pot.

Balance Changes
Amber Mosquito Crafting Recipe: Reduced Gemstone requirements by around 40%.
Baby Snowman
Frostburn effect is now weak version in Pre-Hm, as Pet is obtainable Pre-Hm in a few seeds.
Junimo
Replaced +HP bonus of Harvesting levels, now giving +12.5% Movement Speed at level 50. (used to be +75 HP at level 50)
Removed Damage Reduction boost of Mining levels, now giving +75 HP at level 50. (used to be 11% DR at level 50)
In total, Junimo now gives +75 HP, 12.5% Movement speed and 12.5% Damage when all Skills are Level 50, rather than +75 HP, 11% Damage reduction and 12.5% Damage.
Reduced down Harvesting Exp Requirements to level up by approximately 20-25%~.
Increased Harvesting Exp gain of Lightning Whelk Shell and Tulip Shell to 9 exp from 5, and Juniona Shell to 20 exp from 5.

### Pet Forge & Pet Recipes, Patch 3.4, February 2, 2025
- **Updated Chinese translation. Done by: ROH**
- **Added Pet Forge (furnace recolor sad), which is a Crafting Station that allows you to craft any Pet. Sold by Pet Tamer for 50 gold coins.**
- **Added Pet Food (unique sprite!), which is used in every single Pet crafting recipe with different amounts required. Sold by Pet Tamer for 5 silver coins.**
- **Mastery Shard now can be dropped by bosses with 1% chance, and 0.02% chance from any enemy, on top of 5 guarantee drops from select bosses.**
- Increased sell price of Mastery Shard to 10 gold from 0 coins. (So 50 gold buy price, but not sold by anyone currently.)
- Turned around sprite of Lihzahrd Wrench so it matches correctly with Player sprite.
- **Items that enabled crafting Master Mode Light Pets are now consumables, rather than requiring them to be in your inventory.**
- Adjusted a few tooltips accordingly.
- Pet Monitoring Tablet will now track which Master Mode Light Pet Items you've consumed.
- Now upon dying, In Combat Timer will reset back to 0, preventing issues where some Pets may trigger their effects if you'd spawn faster than intended.
- Method that turns Item ID lists to Item display text in Tooltips now returns the text: "None" if there is nothing to display in the given List.
### Recipe Changes
- Completely removed old Pet recipes.
- **All Pet Recipes will have their 'decrafting' with Shimmer disabled for now. This may get looked into later.**
- Added 2 New Recipe Methods: Pet Recipe (Recipes with this method contain Pet Food and is always crafted at a Pet Forge) and Master Mode Pet Recipe (Same as Pet Recipe method, but also contains Mastery Shard).
- **Now including the Master Mode Pet recipes, all new Pet Recipes have heavily expensive crafting recipes, and a few has conditions required for them. (See Pet Food in game to see all Pet Recipes)**

You all seem to like the idea of 'switching' effects at your own will more than it adapting to your highest damage class, so here we are.
Moonling
Heavily simplified code & tooltip.
Removed: Adapting to your highest damage class for its effects.
New: Player can now switch between its effects with Pet Ability Switch Keybind.

Change of exp tables is mostly done because I lost my formula/algorithm for the original one (oops) and in order to up the cap above 50 for content Post-moon lord, we needed a new formula. Even though it can now go up to level 100, it will be unused, rather, only level 60 will be done so.
Junimo
Added exp table entries up to level 100. (Unused post 60, and 60 can be reached only with Calamity Addon, by killing Providence & DoG)
Re-done exp tables using a new formula. Harvesting 50 should be about 5%~ more difficult, Mining 50 should be about 5%~ easier and fishing should be approximetaly same. They all also now go up in requirements more consistently rather than sometimes wanting less than the level before.

This Pet provides too much % defense and it flew under radar. Heavily nerfing that aspect, while compensating a bit from other aspects.
Mini Minotaur
Fixed rounding error on tooltip.
Reduced %def per stack to 0.12% from 0.23%
Reduced movement speed penalty per stack to 0.18% from 0.25%
Increased time gap to lose a stack while out of combat to 0.33 second from 0.25 second

Pet doesn't feel too good compared to other mobility options, but I do want to be cautious with it.
Eye Spring
Increased Jump Speed boost to 455% from 450%.
Increased additive acceleration boost to 16% from 15%.

Pulling power away from its ability on excelling at specifically Ice fishing, and putting it to somewhere else.
Baby Penguin
Reduced Ice Fishing drop chance to 60% from 80%
Increased Chilled debuff duration reduction to 80% from 55%. And is now worded better.

- (Unsure) Fixed Slime Servant not syncing properly in Multiplayer.
- Player Handicap, which was implemented to balance out the Pets adding extra powercreep, will now only take in effect after you obtain a Pet as it makes 0 sense for it to work when you don't have a Pet.
- Also changed Player Handicap config option's tooltip to reflect the changes.
