2.0.5 Patch Notes

Issue fixes:
- Fixed an issues with Khari Acuity (Khari Raider set) that was allowing the bonus melee/ranged damage to proc off hitting terrain.

Balance changes:
- Khari Acuity can no longer proc its bonus melee damage from shots with utility arrows (explosive/gas/smoke etc) or from orb explosions.
- Warrior's Honor (Lemurian armor) now invokes a cooldown on both the marked player and the wearer instead of just on the marked player. Solo players shouldn't notice any difference but this makes the armor less powerful in group fights.

2.0.4 Patch Notes

New features:
- Reworked the various books that drop from Warmaker bosses (Time of the Scaled Lizard, The Mastodont's Tower, Blood-stained Nails etc). These books now grant a new buff that increases your radiant, entropic, astral, and primal damage by 20%. The buff counts as an elixir but can be stacked with food buffs.
- Added Bloodforged versions of the Acheronian weapons.


Issue fixes:
- Dungeon journeys will now show in the journey window when playing with Desolate Lands.
- Boss mechanics for the Abyssal Remnant and Kinscourge will now work correctly on Desolate Lands.
- Implemented a workaround to help players complete the Dungeon Delver journey steps in the Midnight Grove and the Sunken City.
- Fixed an issue where cooldowns not affected by Celerity wouldn't activate, mostly internal cooldowns for things. This most noticeably impacts Undertow with claws (the ICD wasn't working).
- Changed gameplay tags for Bloodforged Black Ice weapons to hopefully stop them from dropping in random world chests.
- Fixed a bug where the bonus ranged/melee damage from Khari Acuity (Khari Raider set) was applying even if the attack had been blocked.
- Moved the Forge of Ancient Blood back off sublevels onto a camps-mod layer as it was before to hopefully fix the issue of the forge losing stability.

NPC changes:
- The Abyssal Remnant (Dregs) will now drop a few more eyes than before.
- Refactored the hit detection for The Captain Below's water wave attacks to be a bit more forgiving/generous and added two more safe zones near the entrance of the room.
- Reduced the base damage of The Captain Below's water wave attacks slightly.

Balance changes:
- Yoggite Bone Spear will now only apply Gnawing Hunger on thrown hits and not melee hits too, as was already indicated by the description and documentation.
- Gnawing Hunger can no longer be refreshed while active and now has a 5s cooldown for re-application.
- Reduced base damage for the special attacks of the Destruction Staff.
- Shots with explosive arrows no longer trigger the bonus damage on ranged attack from Khari Acuity (Khari Raider set).
- Increased the internal cooldown for applying Undertow stacks with claws from 1.5s to 2.2s.
- Undertow can no longer exceed 5 stacks if the target is a player.
- Rising Violence now allows a 10s window to get the second attack when triggered from the Abyssal Bow.
- Frostbite (Black Ice weapons) now also deals a moderate amount of primal ice damage when it procs.

Visual changes:
- Fixed the name for the recipe of Telith's Despair
- Reduced the opacity and duration of smoke for the Destruction Staff special attacks
- Updated the modifiers and long description for the Destruction Staff to indicate that it has special attacks and can be used to cast Destruction magic.
- Changed the particle effects for radiant damage procs to face the camera more consistently.
- Updated the tooltips for Acheronian weapons to better indicate that they have cripple.

2.0.3 Patch Notes

New features:
- The Destruction Staff now has new fire attacks on its offhand (default Ctrl) combo steps. These deal primal damage which scales with the caster's corruption and corrupted attributes.
- Added Overlord's Truncheon of Lunacy. This truncheon has the unique ability to instantly convert any thrall it knocks out without the need for a wheel of pain. It can be found as loot from Midnight Grove bosses alongside the other Overlord tools.
- Added Truncheon of Instant Thrallify, a less powerful version of the above. This truncheon is admin spawn only and my intention is that it could be distributed to players in a starter kit so that players no longer need to place wheels of pain around thrall camps when starting out, reducing building clutter and land claim issues.

Issue fixes:
- Greedy Pockets (Relic Hunter armor) will now correctly grant stagger immunity when carrying more than 100 weight of treasure.
- The Scholar and The Ritual Keeper (Sunken City) will no longer target unconscious players or down-but-not-out thralls with their magic attacks.

NPC changes:
- The Scholar (Sunken City) will now deal significantly reduced damage with his spells when they target a thrall, since thralls can't dodge it.
- The Abyssal Remnant will now only spawn grublings up to a limit of 6 at a time.
- Adjusted the drop rate of Overlord tools from Midnight Grove bosses from 30% to 35%, since there's now another potential tool in the pool.

Balance changes:
- The bonus damage from Greedy Pockets (Relic Hunter armor) now deals radiant damage instead of true damage.
- Warrior's Honor (Lemurian Warrior armor) now deals a flat amount of damage instead of scaling with the maximum health of the wearer.
- Undertow (Ancient Lemurian and Dagon weapons) no longer heals the instigator after delivering the knockdown effect.

Visual changes:
- Fixed an outdated tooltip for Dread Vitality (Silent Legion Light armor)

2.0.2 Patch Notes


New features:
- Added some entropic resist to the Scorpion Harness since it was missing any extra ODO stats.

Issue fixes:
- Fixed incorrect recipe name for Abysmal Mace.
- Fixed the pattern for Asura armor granting the wrong feat.


NPC changes:
- The Brother of the Moon (bull boss) will now refresh his damage reflect buff back to 1 stack every time a bird arena hazard is created, hopefully helping avoid situations where he's impossible to finish off at low health.
- The Abyssal Remnant (dregs) will now occasionally spawn Abyssal Grublings around the arena. Killing those will damage the Abyssal Remnant. Hopefully this helps in situations where the boss is unresponsive or has moved out of reach due to lag.


Balance changes:
- The Warrior's Honor effect now has a minimum base damage of 60 and deals increased damage against NPCs.
- Increased the expiry damage of Devious Toxin which was accidentally reduced when converting it over to entropic damage.

2.0.1 Patch Notes

Issue fixes:
- Fixed an issue where having an Astral Ward expire would break the functionality of Restricted Exiles's KO system.
- Fixed an issue with the Asura recipe missing from the drop table. Sorry to anyone who farmed.

Visual changes:
- Changed spelling of the Warrior's Honor effect from British to American English in a fewspots that I'd missed.

2.0.0 Patch Notes


New features:
- Created a new magic damage system! Most ODO effects, boss mechanics etc that previously did true damage will now deal one of four magic damage types: Radiant, Entropic, Astral, or Primal. Each magic damage type has a chance to trigger a unique effect. Check documentation for full details of each.
- Added new stats to amplify and resist each magic damage type. Currently they can be found on legendary armor pieces from the Unnamed City and crafted armor pieces from Isle of Siptah vaults. I plan to put these stats on more items in the future. An overview of these new stats on your character can be seen on the ODO options menu (accessed from the emote wheel).
- Added the new Celerity stat which can reduce the duration of cooldowns. Currently it only exists on 3 items from the Unnamed City, with plans to introduce more later, and is hard capped at 30%. I'll be keeping a very close eye on this one for game balance.
- Armor sets now only require 3 pieces to be equipped to get the set bonus, allowing players to customize their stats much more and opening the door to more future content.
- Added a new admin config option to reduce the stamina costs of weapon attacks, bringing the feel of the game closer to pre-Age of War. The degree by which they're reduced is also configurable. By default this option is turned off.
- Added options for admins to make ODO bosses (and some dungeon trash NPCs) scale to higher damage and health values for heavily modded servers where players are a lot more powerful than normal. This is an early version of the feature and I expect there to be issues with some NPCs, please report any dungeon NPCs that are not scaling or that are poorly balanced.
- Added options for admins to change whether the proc rate of on-hit and when-hit effects scales or is fixed.
- Reworked the cooldown system to be much more efficient and lightweight, hopefully improving performance.
- Added ledge helpers to the water pit at the bottom of the Black Keep to help players get out of the water on laggy servers.
- Moved all added content, meshes, etc for the dungeons off the camps-mod and into individual sublevels to improve performance and compatibility.
- Added eldarium and the recipes for Siptah vault armors as possible loot for most of the bosses in Exiled Lands dungeons.
- Added a feat and crafting recipes for Asura armor. The feat can be found as a drop from any of the Asura thralls in Sinner's Refuge.


Issue fixes:
- Removed redundant inventories from the Forge of Ancient Blood to hopefully fix an issue of it eating items.
- Fixed a bug that was causing wrong damage calculations for Blackheart Blade and Blackheart Hammer's empowered attacks.
- Fixed a bug that was causing the Dragonbone Shield to not do any damage or healing when it procced.
- Fixed a bug that was preventing Phoenix-Engraved Sword from proccing when used by thralls.
- Reinstated Aspect of the Drowned, Fists of the Drowned, and Fins of the Drowned. These items seem to have been mistakenly removed from the game by Funcom recently but I needed them so I brought them back. Thanks Xevyr for providing backup data.
- Implemented a workaround to help with the issue of NPCs punching instead of using their weapons.
- Fixed the issue with ledge guarding NPCs in the Dregs and changed the wooden debris for stone trim to make it easier to climb out of the water.
- Fixed a bug with Conjure Flame Whip that was causing it to also damage the caster and their followers when it shouldn't.
- Fixed a bug with Earthquake not dealing any structure damage as it was supposed to. An admin option has been provided to turn that on or off.
- Earthquake's damage will now scale with corruption like it was supposed to.
- The adds in the Keeper of the Larder and Yuxa of the Brood fights (Well of Skelos) will no longer attack the boss.
- Fixed wrong effect tags for Ancient Lemurian Axe and Daggers of Dagon.
- Fixed an issue with panthers in the Midnight Grove only having 1 hp.
- X'Harazul will now correctly interact with living settlements.


NPC changes:
- Many bosses and other dungeon NPCs now deal one of the four magic damage types with thier abilities or arena hazards.
- Reduced the base damage of the Brother of the Night's darkness attacks against players from 340 to 260.
- Reduced the melee damage multipliers of the 3 Warmaker's Sanctuary minibosses to be a little bit less one-shotty.
- Reduced the size of the 3 Warmaker's Sanctuary minibosses so that they're more likely to be able to hit the player instead of trying to hit the air above the player.
- Changed the weapon wielded by Silent Legion Lieutenants to the Acheronian Greatsword
- Changed the weapon wielded by Skeleton Chiefs to the Abysmal Great-axe.
- Implemented a workaround to fix X'Harazul's health scaling. Turns out that Funcom really didn't design their system to account for a boss that's intended to be thrallable!
- Refactored the Brother of the Blood, The Watcher Above, and X'Harazul to use smart objects to handle their animations instead of the hacky jank I had before. It should work better and be more reliable.
- Apep Chaosforged now takes increased damage the longer he's kept near his forge.
- Slightly reduced the amount of extra damage the Kinscourge gains each time his buff stacks.
- The Captain Below now uses the Warrior's Honor effect from his Lemurian Warrior armor.
- Upped the health and damage of The Scholar (Sunken City) and added a new boss mechanic to make him more of a challenge.
- Serpentman and some Votaries of Skelos NPCs will now drop an obsidian gem. These are used to craft obsidian weapons now instead of the shining trapezohedron.


Balance changes:
- Dread Augury now sends the shockwave pulse 3 more times after activation to help keep enemies away long enough to cast something.
- Increased the bonus strength damage from Pact of Violence from 1% to 2% per stack and increased the buff's duration from 60s to 120s.
- Decreased the corruption scaling factor of Deviancy's Embrace's damage and reduced its cooldown from 120s to 90s.
- Changed the way the Draconic Succor effect's damage is calculated to be more consistent and overall a bit higher.
- Changed the way Cracking Glacier's damage is calculated to no longer scale with the user's maximum health.
- Increased the maximum damage cap for Brittle Chill to double the instigator's maximum health.
- Increased the duration of Conjure Flame Whip from 2m30s to 4m.
- Ferine Slugger will now skip the concussive damage if the target of the kick is a player, only doing stamina damage.
- Ferine Slugger's damage scaling has been reduced, but it now deals primal damage instead of physical.
- Changed the stat bonus for Aspect of the Bat from Concussive damage to Agility damage.
- Reduced the carry weight of Aspect of the Demon from 60 (!!!) to 35 and increased its base armor value from 42 to 136.
- Earthquake will now deal half damage to players who are inside an Infernal Prison, since the damage is now higher from it scaling properly. It still deals full damage to NPCs inside an Infernal Prison.
- Infernal Prisons can no longer overlap or be placed directly beside each other.
- Changed the way damage for Tender Flesh is calculated, it now amplifies its own base damage based on the target's missing health % instead of scaling with the actual amount of missing health. This should make it more useful on non-boss targets and less overpowered against bosses (but still strong).
- Added a limit to how fast Undertow can stack on a player from claw attacks. This is a PVP feature only and does not apply in PVE.
- Changed recipes for Silent Legion armors, Obsidian weapons, Telith's weapons, and Lemurian Royal armor to no longer require unique boss drops for each piece. That design decision just doesn't make sense anymore. Stay posted because those boss drops will be getting a new purpose in a future update.

1.10.4 Patch Notes

Mostly just a recook for Age of Heroes, but I have more stuff planned in the coming weeks.

Issue fixes:
- Fixed an oversight with the Forge of Ancient Blood that was allowing one ingredient to not be consumed sometimes.

Balance changes:
- Added hyper armour windows to the casting animations for Earthquake, Conjure Flame Whip, Magma Leap, and Power Flow.
- Adjusted thrall stat multipliers for X'Harazul now that crafting thralls can fight - under previous stats he would have had 20 million HP O.o

1.10.3 Patch Notes

New features:
- Added a new system that keeps a rolling average of health pools for active players over level 40. This average can be viewed in the admin config menu. Currently it does nothing, the system is being tested for potential future use - I need to check that it's an accurate reflection of the server's average player health pools before I do anything with it.
- Added the Box of Steamy Valves. This admin-spawn container binds to the steam ID of the first player to put an item in it. The intended use is for allowing players to bring some items with them between server wipes, when implemented correctly and combined with the correct database edits. See the item's long description or the documentation for more details.

Issue fixes:
- Fixed a formatting error in the long description for Black Corsair and Reinforced Skelos Cultist armours.
- Fixed an oversight that allowed Blood-Moon weapons to be poisoned which is a no-go when they also have an effect of their own on top of that.
- Fixed incorrect stamina costs for light and heavy attacks with the weapon Ranissan.

Visual changes:
- Reduced the size of fonts on the ODO config menu to hopefully make it easier to use. Further work is planned to that menu.

1.10.2 Patch Notes

Issue fixes:
- Fixed the long description for Bloodforged Daggers of Dagon, Pristine Khari Daggers, and Pristine Khari Sword.
- Fixed the light attack damage of Bloodforged Spear of Dagon. Any that were crafted before this update will remain low damage, sorry about that.
- Fixed the Bloodforged Lemurian Sword. It now has the Royal Clout effect, the same as its non-Bloodforged version.
- Fixed an issue that was allowing the application of poison to Telith's Malice and Abysmal Great Axe.
- Fixed the effects of Abysmal Daggers/Sword and their Bloodforged versions. All Abysmal weapons should have the Devious Toxin effect now as intended.
- Fixed an issue that was causing the recipe for Abysmal Great Sword to create the Abysmal Hammer.
- Changed the recipes for all Abysmal weapons to use Abysmal Fangs instead of Thick Leather.
- The Saggite Aggression effect will now correctly restore stamina over time after a killing blow in addition to the instant stamina.
