Nightelm Units
  • Finally allowed for Allied Recruitment (not sure why I was worried about that balance, you can do such crazier things with Allied Recruitment).
  • Now also recruitable at Unicorn Gate (mainly added for multiplayer co-op, so your ally can recruit them without conquering you).

Harbingers
  • Added three new random traits: Feral, Adventurous, and Wayward.

Old World Campaign
  • Added an earlier tier to the Old World-only Landmark, to get you going faster since the climate slows development. Now it builds from a "Reaver Camp" to a "Reaver Waystation.

Fixes
  • Properly hid faction effect in top bar (you'll need the room for Phoenix Court effects...)

Old World Classic

Old World and AI Update

Old World Expedition
  • Ellyrion is now playable in The Old World campaign map!
  • Aelin has landed near Bretonnia and has a new Old World-only landmark building in her initial camp
  • Because Elves are not fond of the Old World's climate, expect a challenging campaign

AI Changes
  • When played by the AI, Ellyrion will now recruit more thematic armies. You will notice they prefer Silver Helms over Dragon Princes now, and of course they will recruit Ellyrian Reavers. They will tend to prefer Eagles and Pegasus Knights instead of Dragons, and White Lions of Chrace instead of heavier infantry
  • This change may make Ellyrion slightly weaker as AI, but they should feel much more Ellyrian when you meet them, and the armies should still usually be balanced

Aelin Redmane
  • Improved animation when on foot
  • New arrow model (to match the arrows in her quiver better)
  • Fixed firing animation when using the Reaver Steed
  • Now has the Siege Attacker trait like all other Legendary Lords (though I wish this would be removed, Aelin should have it if everyone else does; thanks Ashantai)

Fixes
  • Slight improvements to starting diplomacy to make up for the low Reliability that Ellyrion starts with in Immortal Empires
  • Improved compatibility with certain equipment mods that had been disabling the standard High Elf Princess when used with Ellyrion (thanks to 赛博路人 for the report)

This update makes some Ellyrian mechanics function in a more synergistic way, to promote combined-arms strategies and thoughtful deployment of Aelin Redmane.

Aelin Redmane
  • The "Red Mane" passive ability that Aelin and the Redmane Spearmen RoR have has been updated, giving them both a clearer identity as specialists in supporting friendly cavalry
  • Aelin's "Teacher in Turmoil" Skill now unlocks Harbinger recruitment locally around herself

Faction Bonuses
  • Changed the scaling-per-rank Missile Resistance gained by cavalry units to Physical Resistance instead, to create more value for the Nightelm units (since their ability to remove magical attacks will make Physical Resistance more valuable)

Bugfixes
  • Fixed issue with certain non-Ellyrian units having black spots on their equipment when playing as Ellyrion
