Version 1.1

New Game Mode: Free for All!
  • In "Free for All", it's every player for themselves! Rack up the most personal KO's to win the match.
  • Players are automatically assigned to the "white" team, and can respawn at any Repsawn Point regardless of team color.
  • All weapons use the original green splatter color.
  • "Free for All" is now the default Game Mode.


New Feature: Animated Healthbar!
  • While in the paintball arena, players will now have a custom UI healthbar above their quickslot bars.
  • When below 50%, the health bar will turn yellow and begin to pulse. When below 25%, it will turn red and begin to quickly flash.
  • The healthbar will scale with the size of your quickslot bar, so feel free to adjust as needed.


New Feature: Power-Ups!
  • Power-Ups are powerful buffs that can be picked up from Loot Spawners.


New Power-Up: Soap!
  • Grabbing the bar of soap will wash off some of your paint, instantly restoring 50% of your paintball health (INI configurable).


New Power-Up: Jump Boots!
  • These oversized MegaMan-style metal boots grant the player the ability to super jump for up to 2 minutes.
  • Also allows the player to perform a single double-jump while mid-air.
  • Each jump is high enough to allow a player to comfortably clear a 5-story wall. Plan your arenas accordingly!


Double-Barreled Shotgun: Updates
  • Now has a new custom model that matches with the style of the other paintball weapons.
  • Still fires 12 paintballs per shot, but the ammo display on the gun will show how many shells are in the gun and the total number of shells possible with the available paintballs.
  • New/custom sound effects, animations, etc.


Game Terminal: New Features
  • Admins can now switch between "Team vs Team" and "Free for All" Game Modes from the Game Terminal's multiuse wheel.
  • New admin option to "Reset All Loot Spawners", which will re-populate all of the Loot Spawners in the game arena with the default loadout. Useful for quickly adding new items after a mod update.
  • Overhauled "Start Game" sounds and notifications, now includes music and a voice countdown.


Loot Spawner: New Features
  • New admin option to "Reset Loot Spawner", which will re-populate a specific Loot Spawner with the default loadout.
  • The default loadout now includes Soap and Jump Boots!


New Feature: K/D Ratio Tracking
  • Whenever a player is KO'ed or KO's another player, their K/D ratio is shown in the notification message.


Bugfixes / Improvements / QoL Updates
  • Player air-control has been increased, so that it's easier to land jumps correctly.
  • Better teleportation effects.
  • New custom model for the ammo pods.
  • Players are prompted to pick a team when enter an arena with "Team vs Team" game mode selected.
  • More responsive code when entering/exiting arenas.

Version 1.0.7

New Features
  • Paintball splatter impacts now match the color of the team that fired them, by popular request.
  • Dropped paintball items are now removed from the arena when a new game starts, to prevent people from hoarding weapons/ammo before a match starts.
  • Weapons/ammo are reset after death. This prevents cases where somebody finds a good weapon early, and they're able to gain an unfair advantage for the rest of the game.
  • Players will now drop one of their weapons when they die. If they don't have any non-starter weapons, they'll drop some ammo.
  • The Paintball buff now grants Oxygen, so that players don't have to worry about drowning while playing.
  • Players will be prompted to choose a team when entering the arena.
  • New Admin Option in the Game Terminal to limit team changes to admins-only, so that players can't change teams between games unless an admin does it.


Game Terminal
  • The arena shield can now be resized! The radius, height, and depth of the shield can be set independantly from the Game Terminal's multiuse wheel. All distances are measured in "foundations."
  • The scoreboard above the terminal will now stay until the next match is started, so that players can see the final score.
  • Admins can now pass through the arena shield, and if they were cheat-flying then it will be reapplied after entering the shield.


Respawn Points
  • Respawn Points are now colored white by default. If no team color is selected, these white Respawn Points will work for everyone regardless of teams. They can still be assigned to a team, if you want them to be exclusive.


Loot Spawners
  • Weapons now grant 100 ammo on pickup, in addition to a full clip.
  • Respawn time set to 10 seconds by default.


Balance Adjustments
  • Rifle Buffs
    • Can now reload while running.
    • Base damage increased to 20 from 10.
  • Sniper Buffs
    • Can now reload while running.
  • Paintbrush Nerf
    • Base damage reduced to 50.


Bugfixes / Improvements / QoL Updates
  • The "Admin Shield" consumable now has a potion icon, instead of a shield icon, to help show that it's a consumable and not equipment.
  • Paintball structures now ignore enemy foundation range checks, so that multiple people can setup the paintball arena regardless of their tribe.
  • The normalized player movement speed buff has been reduced to 25%, from 50%. This can still be changed in the INI settings.

New Weapon: Double-Barreled Shotgun!
  • Fires 12 paintballs in a random spread.
  • Aiminig will reduce the spread for a tighter/aimmed shot.
  • 2x reload speed for faster gameplay
  • Will automatically reload after the 2nd cartridge has been fired
  • Camera shake (firing, etc) reduced by 50%
  • Placeholder model while we wait for MMRadioactiv to get his computer fixed ;)
  • Weapon damage is INI configurable (see below)

New Features
  • Weapons and Ammo are now reset at the beginning and end of each match, so that players can start each game with the same starter equipment.
  • Teleport Pads now automatically scan for other nearby pads -- just name the pad and choose your destination, and you're good to go!
  • Teleport Pads now display their own name in orange at the bottom of their multiuse HUD, to make setting up/pairing pads easier.
  • Loot Spawners now have a default starter inventory! By default, they contain ammo and at least 1 of each weapon. Ammo is most likely to spawn, followed by the Rifle, and then the Sniper and Double-Barreled Shotgun. Admins can still adjust the inventory as needed for their specific arenas.


Bugfixes / Improvements / QoL Updates
  • Weapons are now fully loaded when picked up -- no need to reload before jumping into the fray.
  • Fixed issue with the Game Terminal's inventory not being accessable in some cases (NOTE: Existing Game Terminals will need to be picked up and replaced, if they are sunken into the ground)
  • Improved Respawning
    • Players should no longer occasionally stay invisible after a respawn.
    • Players will have no collision while teleporting
    • Unconscious players awaiting respawn can no longer be dragged, nor can their inventory be accessed
    • Tweaked teleportation system to help prevent occasions where the player is spawned inside a Respawn Node

Bugfixes / Improvements
  • Players can no longer access the Game Terminal from the boundary shield.
  • Players should no longer be occasionally invisible after respawn.
  • Added cooldown to the messages sent when bumping the boundary shield.
  • When entering the paintball arena with a shoulder pet, the player will receive a reminder that their shoulder pet will be dropped when they're knocked out while playing paintball.
  • Fixed a case where players would very high torpor could not be knocked out.
  • Add weight multipliers when paintballing, so that players won't be encumbered during play.

  • Players now recieve a message when they score a finishing hit.
  • Floating damage text now shows gray when you hit a friendly target.
  • Respawning overhaul!
    • Respawn Time is now more accurately calculated.
    • Players will recieve a respawn countdown timer whenever the time is greater than 5 seconds long. ("3...2...1...")
    • The teleporting/respawning is now 1000% cooler, and 300% slicker.


Bugfixes / Improvements
  • Fixed a case where the movement speed standardization wasn't being applied correctly.

New Features
  • Player Speed Normalization: Player speed is now normalized, so all players will run the same speed regardless of the number of points spent on run-speed, so that low level players aren't at a disadvantage. The normalized speed can be customized in the INI settings.
  • New Item: Reusable admin-only item to grant the "Admin Protection" buff that allows admins to work in the Arena without gaining the "Paintball" buff from the Game Terminal, so that their slot items aren't modified while building.

Quality of Life Improvements
  • Buffs from common mods (S+, SS, and Awesome Teleporters) have been enabled in the Arena.
  • Game Terminals can now be picked up.
  • Game Terminals no longer drop their inventory, and they cannot accept any item that is not auto-stocked by the terminal itself.
  • Game Terminal is now easier to access, from a greater distance, and has better multiuse options.
  • Added the word "Paintball" to the placeholder structure icons to differentiate from similar items.


Bugfixes / Improvements
  • The Game Terminal placement no longer conflicts with other Paintball structures. You can pickup/replace Game Terminals without needing to remove other structures first.
  • Paintball structures now re-aquire new Game Terminals when the terminal is placed.
  • Loot Spawners and Teleport Pads are now named correctly on the structure.
  • Loot Spawners no longer show *every* item when empty and restarting from stasis.
  • The Game Terminal admin-option "Allow Inventory Access" has been renamed to "Allow Arena Building", to more accurately describe what it does. When this option is enabled, players will be able to access the terminal, place/pickup paintball structures, etc. The only thing they can't do is pickup or destroy the Game Terminal itself. Useful for when server admins approve an arena build location, but the players are the ones building the arena itself.
  • Fixed issues where non-admins could pickup or demolish some items. Paintball structures can now only be picked up (no demolish) if the player has permission, or is an admin.

Balance Adjustments
  • Increased the Sniper's reload speed by 200%.
  • Starter Items (Paintbrush/Slingshot) no longer give ammo when picked up from the Loot Spawners.
  • Can no longer drop "Locked" (broken) items, to avoid confusion.

New Features!
  • The Game Terminal can be named, and then admins can remotely start/stop games via RCON commands. For example, a Game Terminal could be called "Arena1", and the admins could start the terminal by executing "cheat ScriptCommand Paintball Start:Arena1" or "cheat ScriptCommand Paintball Stop:Arena1". If multiple Game Terminals share the same name, they will all be started/stopped with the same command. NOTE: Game Terminal names cannot contain spaces -- numbers and characters only.


Configuration Options
  • Admins now have new options in the Game Terminal's multiuse wheel to enable other players to Start/Stop games, access inventories (setup loot spawners, etc), and alter game configurations (respawn time, game duration, etc).
  • Game Terminals can now be pin coded, to allow non-admins to access the Game Terminal.


Bugfixes / Improvements
  • The Sniper now correctly shows it's air-tank.
  • "Creative Mode" can now be used while inside the arena.
  • The Game Terminal is now easier to access from further away.
