Update #50

Let's start with important news: Etermes has beaten ETERMES! It was a challenging and a buggy ride, but the man has done it!

Now, to other things:

The big addition in this update are the new Scavengers. This is still a WIP: there are missing icons for the new raider armor pieces and we will be adjusting the templates based on your feedback.

Regarding releasing 1.0, we are still doing bug fixing and polishing, and we won't be releasing 1.0 until the mod is in the right state. It doesn't mean we will not keep working on it afterwards.

-Bugfixes
+Softlock on loading missions with Acid worm Chirons.
+Vehicles getting Badly Injured description in mission report.
+Base defense with Walls of Jericho errors.
+New try to remove pink portrait backgrounds on Macs (did I already mention how magnificent these devices are?).
+Could take control of turrets in A Favor for a Friend with a drone/mind controlled unit.
+Error in Palace Mission on unapplying Mark of the Void.

-Changes
+Type of base defense mission now determined by time remaining rather than progress ratio; at 12 hours or more remaining, easiest defense, at less than 12 but more than 6, medium difficulty defense, and at least than 6, hardest.
+Adjustments to how Pandorans are counted for purposes of containment breach.
+Subject24 now has a leather jacket.
+Reduce the effect of Mist on perception by half.
+New bandit templates.

+Error on hitting unequip all button if stores are full.
+Augmentations in Edit Personnel Screen adding to encumbrance (but not in tactical).
+Spymaster portrait missing armor.
+Pink portrait backgrounds on Macs (maybe fixed; can’t test it myself because I do not possess one of these marvelous devices) (Vanilla).
+Softlock if the player doesn’t attempt the Hatching and Behemoth spawns a little later than usual.
+Softlock after destroying Behemoth.
+Project Hecate incorrectly stating that penalty from Mist was reduced by 50% (Vanilla).

-Changes
+Increased cost of bionic lab, +25 Tech, to differentiate from Research Labs that provides the same amount of research but doesn’t allow augmenting.
+Title screen now changing to TFTV visuals when activating mod, without need to exit game first.
+Shows character as “badly injured” in mission debrief if they had a disabled limb.
+Shows buffs to Strength and to Willpower in armor tooltip.

+Error message on clearing Lair or Citadel (or Nest on Rookie or lower) and no Void Omen at play at the time.
+Mind control status not getting removed in Palace when it should.
+Armis and Crystal Mortar Chiron not appearing ever.
+Separate NJ Armageddon missile research remained.
+Reinforcement spawning with full AP if playing Etermes on Geoscape, but lesser difficulty on Tactical.
+Long AI turns in the Palace if gates are raised after lowered.
+Gates lowered when loading a save in the Palace made with gates raised.

-Changes
+Walls of New Jericho adds 6 hours to the base defense timer.
+Reworked how base defense mission is triggered:
Overall lower frequency of attack, unless certain circumstances are met (proximity of Colony to base, base in Mist,... and something else)
Project Domovoy reduces the frequency of attacks by half.
+Rolled back change introduced in Update #38 where faction vehicles can only be acquired in vehicle rescue missions if they have been researched by factions.
+Co-Delirium now applies only to melee weapons.
+Umbra gain corruption attack.

+Spider drones taking control of vehicles.
+VIP Dr. Kalindar rescue mission unchanged from Vanilla (unlike all the other VIP rescue missions).
+Acheron Arms showing as requiring 2 hands to use (when you need to disable both arms to make weapon unusable).
+Doubled Ancient research.
+Changes made to options that can be changed any time in the new game screen not being saved in the config.
+Behemoth disruption threshold increased VO not updating correctly.
+Critical error if a haven visited by a flyer becomes infested and Behemoth attempts to target it.

Happy holidays everyone! As a present, a little bugfix for the Redemptor that has gone unnoticed for many years :)

-Bugfixes
+Error message on rolling some Void Omens.
+Missing Localization Key Behemoth mission button (Vanilla).
+The UI icon element of overwatch abilities does not take AP modifications for the default shooting ability into account (Vanilla).
+Confusing Boom Blast description.
+Messed up portraits in Palace missions.
+Starting tritons in Palace missions spawning without weapons (only happened when player speedruns).
+Displaying random images for hints that should not have an image.
+Certain weapons (Destiny) revealing hidden enemies by targeting them (Vanilla).
+Error on spawning initial Pandoran deployment in base infestation mission on Etermes.
+Choosing Etermes for Tactical difficulty not working properly.
+Too many flyers appearing on later roamings (should never be more than 3 every 15 hours).
+Base defense console not spawning if structure somehow destroyed on loading mission.
+Redemptor dealing 1 shred per pellet and having 10 pierce (yes, and no one reported this ever, lol).
+Error message on starting a new game in a continuous playing session with different settings for Limited Harvesting.

+Mind Control Immunity removed when body part granting immunity is disabled.
+Reduced Cyclops DR on Etermes.

-Balance: Taurus firing cost 2AP -> 3AP, Scrap price for Junker and its modules reduced
- Other: Taurus sound and projectile visuals changed to be the same as Hell2, Trample description updated, Manned Gunner localisation adjusted

-Further implementation
+You can now meet Louis when facing a Synedrion squad and thank in person Lucus the Destroyer for the Vehicles Rework (him and his jolly gang of raiders).
