Update: 23 May, 2014 @ 9:52am

V1,91 (23-5-2014):

  • Fixed cognatic gender favoured laws so that they can't be changed after being enacted.
  • Steward employment decisions now bring in the favoured gender character in cognatic realms. You still get a random gender if you pick no favour.

Update: 22 May, 2014 @ 5:57pm

V1,90 (22-5-2014):

  • Added events for women to legitimize their bastard children, if:
    -The father is unlanded.
-Either the mother is landed, her liege has female preferential succession, or her liege has absolute cognatic and the same dynasty as her.
Note: that there is a small bug in that the game doesn't recalculate succession after a child is legitimized. If you save and reload, this issue will be fixed.

  • Cognatic realms can now also designate a gender that is given a bit of preferential treatment over the other.
-If male favoured, then women can't be chancellor or martial (or lead armies).
-If female favoured, then men can't be chancellor or steward.
-Ambitions to gain a title, or a specific possition are modified by this preference.
-Factions are less likely to favour claimants that don't match their gender preference.
-Independent AI rulers will opt for male favoured unless they're either Cathar or Messelian. In that case, they go for true equality.

Update: 10 Apr, 2014 @ 11:06am

V1,82:

  • Regenerated workshop file, so that subscribed mods should work properly.
  • Updated Counselor jobs to the new patch. Also added in the missing Indian religion conditions.
Known issues:

Same as last version

Update: 7 Apr, 2014 @ 7:23pm

V1,81
*Figured out a crude fix for the female mayors and Maryite religious heads deleting all their cash on succession.

I'll likely be taking a break for a bit now until the next version. I'll still release bug fixes, but don't expect new content for at least 2-3 weeks.

Update: 6 Apr, 2014 @ 12:32am

V1,8
*Added in the Buddhist Ambitions (sorry I missed these earlier)
*Updated a lot of the things in the mod to the new beta version. You can play this mod just fine with or without the beta patch.
*Made the two new main game heresies able to properly go on pilgrimages to the Orthodox sites. (this is not in the base game yet)
*Added in the Orthodox Heresy Maryite, another female preferential fantasy heresy. They allow for female priests, use Orthodox mechanics, and their religious head is always female.
*A few changes to the marry a ruler ambition.

Known issues:
*Newly generated random mayors and religious heads do not get the gold of their successors.
*Serious issue. Something has caused my assume gender law decisions to stop working properly. Rulers are now taking on the succession laws of their liege regardless of the situation, but there has been no change to the decisions that trigger this since they were working before the RoI patch. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this problem, please let me know.
*Titles that were given out to alternative heirs through gavelkind still use the default succession law.
*When using the change gender law decisions, the list of successors is not refreshed. In non-elective realms, you will either need to reload, wait for your ruler to die, or have a child for this to change. In elective ones, the only issue is that votes for candidates that don't qualify for the title will maintain their votes until their supporters change their votes to someone else.
*Under Free Investiture Law, women cannot be appointed as successors to bishoprics in Lilithian realms.
*Sons generate landless son prestige loss regardless of gender law.
*Landless men can be granted titles under enatic and enatic-cognatic succession even without a claim on the title. The AI will give out land to men over women no mater what gender law they're using.
*Random female Councillors are all age 30.

Changelog
V1,72 (4-3-2014):
*Fixed a few issues with female adventurers, they should hopefully now actually have enatic-cognatic succession in their newly carved out lands. Note that they still cannot actually turn into adventurers without being in a realm that is at least absolute cognatic.
*Got validator working again, and fixed a missing bracket in the opinion maintenance files.
*Bogamists, Messalians, and Buddhists may now employ female spiritual advisers.
*All female characters of religions that can employ female spiritual advisers can now take the ambition to become the spiritual advisor.
*Men older then 50 and women older then 40 can no take the ambition to gain a title. Being over 60 and 45 respectively cause the ambition to fail.
*Parents will not ask for titles from their kids any more.

Update: 1 Apr, 2014 @ 10:26pm

V1,71:
*Fixed agnatic and enatic successions missing from the list of possible gender successions.
*Fixed the negative opinion for having a female heir not being removed properly.
*Fixed error in become heir ambition, women wanted to become heir in agnatic realms when the heir was male and vise versa.
*Cleaned up the have a child ambitions to work better with allowing women to take the male child ambition.
*Fixed random Female mayors not appearing in enatic-cognatic realms.
Random female mayors are now lowborn, they also spawn between 26 and 45 years old.

Update: 29 Mar, 2014 @ 2:15pm

V1,7:
*Women can now take the "Have a son" ambition.
*The employ a random gender steward decision now works properly.
*Male priests from religions that prefer cognatic or enatic don't mind female rulers or rulers with female heirs.
*Female priests from religions that prefer enatic don't like male rulers and rulers with male heirs.
*The vassal forcing decision is now a cheat action that requires a console only event to enable. To add or remove the option from the intrigue menu, open the console and type in "event BGL.165"
*Vassal non-merchant mayors use gender laws equal to their lieges.
*Added female baron level mayors. When you load this patch, about half of your mayors in your realm will be replaced with female ones. All of them will be replaced in enatic realms. Currently they're generated with dynasties, this will be fixed in a later patch.
*For now, all randomly generated female mayors, stewards, and priests are all 30 years old. This way they're closer to the same age as the randomly generated male ones. They will have a more random distribution of ages later on.

Known issues:

*Random female councellors and mayors are all age 30.

Update: 27 Mar, 2014 @ 9:34pm

-Fixed a bug that was preventing the "Wrong gender law" opinion modifier from being removed when it was not valid.
