I wanted the squad NCO to be visually distinguishable from his subordinates. I decided the squad gunner should lead since A) the squad shoots where the officer shoots, and the gunner does the most shooting, B) the gunner is already in charge of spawning vehicles, and C) the gunner has the most health, so he can lead from the front.

I started with the Apocalypse Soldier skin, modified the vest to hold two large ammo boxes rather than five magazines, and gave it armbands. Took about ten minutes.
