After doing more battles in the Melonwars Discord, I decided to change the map depending on what the community thinks is right for this map, as this map still was easy to exploit the higher areas. so in order to counter it, i did a lot of new changes, and overall changed it quite a bit.

1. Extended the two sides of each base, making where now there is a wooden ramp and some space near it for countering (Obviously with Bombs, duh)

2. Changed the Base Spawns by backing it up to the corner, as the build area was so big that it allowed you to spawn directly to the middle.

3. The base felt as if there was to much open space, so I changed it so where there is a pole in the middle of the open space, I felt that it would give it a better feel. (Ill probably change it depending on results with people)

4. Made a spawn room, It was to bland to just spawn outta thin air. So I made a strange door come out of nowhere and shoves you right into the map, thought it would be a good touch.

5. Added smoke effects, felt it would make the Map Name feel more appropriate.

Overall, just some quality-of-life changes, which hopefully makes it better.

Did a lot of changes to the map since it's been heavily battle tested, and i figured out some things I needed to fix. Recently, i got into working on those changes, and hopefully, it will make the map feel nicer.

1. Increased the brightness of the map, as the older versions made it hard to see, definitely if your a dark color team like "purple"

2. Added more lighting, the old version of Mw_Steampunk had basically no lighting besides a "Light_Environment", this one changed it where there is now lighting under the main piping, the middle and the garage on each side of the map, it should make it easier to see

3. Added "env_Smokestacks" to two of the open pipes in between both spawns, this way it feels more like a factory.

4. Added some small buildings in the Skybox. (This wasn't necessary but i thought it would make it look nicer)

Increased the size of the map and changed the two base positions to be slightly more to the corners to add a bit more of distance.

Also added a skybox.
