Installation Update R4 Patch Notes
Preface - Many sleepless nights, and many errors to be fixed. THIS IS NOT THE FINALIZED VERSION. I've only released this update as a snapshot to subscribers to show progress,
and the direction I'm planning to take the map. Within a month the final update will release fully playable in 4 game modes. This map is CURRENTLY torn to the bones in many places.
For anyone following the maps progress, you'll understand why the map is so bare in some places. I've made massive changes to the maps geometry and overall layout. Creating 3
large horizontal levels to be played on simultaneously.
- Finalizing brush work, "de-blocking"
- Massive outdoor changes
- Added docks, harbor, shipping structures etc.
- Created many custom detail brush's
- Spiral staircase
- Appears okay in game, still needs work. ~ 10% vertices unaligned on grid
- Top outdoor playable area cliffs removed
- Replaced with roof of installation built into mountain side
- Key to adding more area for Danger Zone update (See further below)
- 180 degrees of outdoor play off the main structures furthest outer x/y walls
- This is below the cliffs and roof on the beach/docks/shipping area
Adding more geometry and more overall play area still in a condensed map
Separated by 900-3000+ hammer units with brush's in between
- Map has been re-lit with the addition of a new skybox (using stock again)
Overall re-lit all lights adding more lighting systems and less standalone light
Changed env lighting (darker)
- Rebuilt/Redesigned the lunchroom
- 3DSkybox started
- LoD to be increased next update
- Overall light scheme shifted from dark blue/purple to florescent/green
- Intending to engage play and realism

This is update 2 of 3 for this map. The final "finalizing" update will release in roughly 3 months as I'm a full-time student and schools beginning again.
The update will include the following features, along with the ability to be played in not only my custom zombie mod but Danger Zone, and TTT. I do not plan to make it playable for Defuse as its way too large.
- Seamless 3D skybox that takes the mountain on the roof and extends its as far as the eye can see on the south 180 degrees of the map
- Water continues forever on the north 180 degrees of the map as if you're on a small patch of islands in the middle of the sea
- Proper texture scaling, detailing, and prop placement
- Optimization (lord help me....)
- Custom Models made in Maya
- I will be developing some custom props for the finalized version of the map. Waiting to make and export these until the final update
in order to prevent the need to change them if I change the map. The cafeteria will have a salad bar/warm food serve yourself station and signs for room names

- Two additional large areas added
- Multiple connecting hallways and doors added. To increase flow and dynamics of the map.
- Optamized area portals with func_details and cleaning trims.
- Improved lightining (unfortunetly this update caused the outdoor lighting to look less than desirable. With the final update all lighting will be fixed.
- NAV file will not auto generate ladder mount points. You'll have to do that yourself.
