Theseus created a ship, though it was very rough around the edges, and nowhere near ready to set sail, he wasn't really a ship constructor. So he asked for help. Theseus' friend comes along, polishes the ship up, until reaching the point where it can finally go across even the largest of oceans. Theseus is satisfied and moves on to do his own things. His friend then managed to upgrade the ship in the middle of the ocean. Quite a few times, in fact. Unfortunately, after some time, issues were spotted and the ship began to sink. By some stroke of magic though, after life flashed before his eyes, the ship and all passengers on it were restored and continued to sail. He himself, however, stayed on the still sinking ship. But he also knows that ship still has it's flaws. An actual shipwright came along, recreates a ship based on the original, which while different, is better in every way, perfect even. In desperation, years after the ship sunk, asks if he can just copy the shipwright's ship so the ship can finally be perfected. She agrees, and the ship is finally up to Theseus' friend's standards. This here, is the perfected ship. Enjoy.
