Coding for chariots assimilated into this mod.

Once that part is accomplished, we can start reinstating units.

Only factions not touched were: Odrysioi, Larissa, Illyria.

Faction file changes:

Magadha, Gandhara, Kushans, Boioi, Egyptians, Nubians and Arabs have been amended to fit the new system being used for this mod.

WE CANNOT CONTINUE WORKING ON THIS MOD, unless the building situation is amended.

Other issues:

What do the Kushan Nobles' Court and City Watch look like?

- answer: check Hong's work for LOTR. Create new buildings to represent the new City Watch and Nobles' Court, using Low Men buildings, and use them in the interim until further notice.

Indo-European barbarians done......
1. Spearmen - Cimmerian style
2. Skirmisher Levy - uses Germanic skin and Roman skin from KC0.
3. Slingers - uses all European units from KC0.
4. Bowmen - a mix of Celtic with Mediterranean (Carthaginian).

So,

-Indo-European patriots, captains are being designed,
- Indo-European peasasnts are being worked on (Celtic slave girl, stereotypical barbarian in trousers)
- Need to pick scholars, merchants, scouts, traders - but that should not be difficult.

But what about Persians?

- Peasants- same as Greek.
- But merchants, traders are derivates of Arabo-Egyptian units.
- Unique patriots, see Warbirth wiki for more info. But the red governor definitely is based off vanilla Darius.
- Scholars, green patriot - probably clothd in Elamo-Achaemenid fashion.

Egyptian, Akkadian and Aegean units for use in Warbirth have been linked to this mod. The next step then is to link barbarian / Indo-European units, which could be used for barbarian factions.

MAIN OBJECTIVE NOW:

(1) Finalise all the faction files
- Building styles must be finalised, that means getting the right builds to the right people.

(2) Fix the unit rosters
- Warbirth resources are being pumped into this mod.
- After levy units, patriot units, civilians, generals, scholars, etc are next.

Started working on levy foot units:
- Assets for Warbirth's Slingers and Spearmen have been integrated into this mod.
- Greek light spears for Warbirth recycle Super7700's Rorarii...no need to guess why.
Only javelineers and bowmen are left to go.

CONCERNS
- We still currently use the tribe xmls from Kings & Conquerors. They need to be replaced.
- Warbirth's system needs to be better integrated to avoid fuckups with the code.

Psychological damage! how do we fix this?

Simple.........
- fix all the patriots, right away.
- do all the chariot units!

Chariot units required:

- Bouiron karbantos
- Light chariot - Egyptian style, Poeni style.
- Cimmerian mercenary chariot
- Medium chariot - for Magadha, Gandhara (Indian only)
- Harmata drepanephora ...... this is a tough one. We will provisionally include Magadha heavy jockeys along with Persian ones.

Indian harmata drepanephora is also required for Magadha green patriot.

Chariot unit for western Red patriot is also required.
- This is a simple operation. Egyptian chariot. vanilla Phalanx for VIP, KC spear levy dude as standrd bearer. He can use the staff we have design for use with barbarian Red patriots.

Resources for the Warbirth project have been assimilated into Alexander - Akkadian units, in general.
Slingers, Bows, Skirmisher Levies, Light Spearmen - all have been added to this mod.

What about unit design? we still have not figured this one out.

Achaemenids - should use the same unit designs as those of the Balkan nations. Which is fine since most of these Balkan nations haven't been Hellenicised.

Boii?

Boii, Gandhara all use the same sytem as that being prepared for use in Warbirth, for Aryan nations - Celts, Germanss, Basques,Iranians, Indians, Hittite, Thracian.
- Recycle European Slaves from KC. We can replace the old KC German slave with Spanzer's (slave.tga)
- ChaosScholar.tga by Spanzer can be used to represent scholars/priests, nobility for Boii, Gandhara, Getae

After some thinking for several days, I've decided - this mod needs to be a fork of Warbirth. As a result, the unit systems utilised for this mod will be using the hierarchy described in http://warbirth.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Category:Units

So, as a result some units will need to be shunted around. Most notable is the presence of archers in the Barracks, for almost all factions.

Which brings us the question - what do Bowmen look like in Warbirth?

SUGGESTION - Use Celtiberians as a base for Bowman 1. Iran's bowmen can be based on whatever system we devise for Aryan nations in Age of Chariots.

STOCKTAKE - what resources are required?

Akkadian, Afro-Egyptian, Indo-Iranian units will be required to make this list.

Slingers - 2 types( or rather, 3 models) are ready - Aegean, Egyptian and Akkadian - but only the first is ready. A Nubian slinger can be created, simply by recycling a Tamil archer skin - and adding whatever resources BHG or Hong created.
Bowmen - Aegean, Akkad, Egyptian units are ready.
Skirmisher Levy - Aegean (Psiloi), Egyptian, Nubian, Akkad units are ready. But Indian ones are problematic. SOLUTION - just darken whichever Akkadian or Aegean units you have in mind and get it done!
