Update: 25 Mar, 2020 @ 10:13pm

Version 1.4 "La Resistance Update and I Also Buffed Australia"

Major Changes
  • Updated the mod to the HOI4 patch 1.9.1 Beta.
  • Changed China's starting scenario again to fix the 2nd Sino-Japanese war's balance.

Major Changes To China Scenario (in depth)
  • A big chunk of Nationalist China's divisions now have to be called up by decisions that cost command power. Warlords that control the states they are based in can also gain control of these forces, if they were not already mustered.
  • Japan has 90 days after starting a war with China where they can go hog-wild without the starting debuffs.
  • Japan's "Intervene in China" focus gives them control of Shanghai once completed, forcing the war's fronts into more than just northern China at the start as historically happened.
  • China can break the yellow river dikes if they have taken the Scorched Earth Tactics focus, creating a new line of defensive terrain. For a price.
  • The Sichuan Clique does not exist at game start: its territories are controlled by Nationalist China, and most of its armies are off-map until CHI gets in a war.

New Game Start Rules
  • Added a new optional rule that removes the starting military factory for the most minor of minor nations. This should help to reduce division spam as they will need to go down the generic focus tree to build more military factories.
  • Altered the "divided Germany" optional rule to instead use the new puppet nations in the La Resistance French focus tree.
  • Added a new alternate-history game rule that unifies Australia and New Zealand at game start into the single nation of Australasia. (The nation uses the Australia focus tree.)
  • Removed the "Less Minor Warlords" Optional rule, as Sichuan Clique is no longer on the map at start.

Database Changes
  • Added Kurdistan as a releasable nation.
  • Added Danzig Free State as a releasable nation.
  • Added a hispanic real-world Andalusia as a releasable nation (as opposed to the EU4 Scenario's Andalusia).
  • Consolidated the previously-made BAV (Bavaria) tag into the BAY tag added in 1.9.
  • Consolidated the previously-made GPR (Prussia) tag into the PRE tag added in 1.9.
  • Researching 1936 Light Tanks will give a division template including tanks if a country doesn't have one already.
  • Researching 1933 Heavy Tanks will give a division template actually including heavy tanks.
  • Hungarian division names now have consistent capitalization.
  • The AI for the Chinese tags now acts a little more as intended now.
  • The Soviets are less likely to invade Poland before Germany does, especially on Historical.
  • Xikang can re-brand itself as the Sichuan Clique if Liu Wenhui reconquers Sichuan.
  • Hebei-Chahar can re-brand itself as the Dongbei Clique if it survives and expands south or north.
  • Democratic Australia and New Zealand have alternate republican flags on independence.
  • Gave Australia and New Zealand a decision to form Australasia if either tag controls both.
  • Tweaked the Australian Focus Tree to target more useful, non-wasteland states in its industrial focuses (TfV expansion enabled-only).

Graphics Changes
  • Yan Xishan now uses a portrait made by Chetson instead of his vanilla portrait.

Map Changes
  • Added in the 1.9 changes to Iberian provinces, strategic regions, resources, and supply areas.
  • Central Australia is now impassible wasteland as originally intended by the mod.
  • Added more victory points in the Mideast and Ethiopia.
  • Gannan (State #753) now has tungsten deposits as it historically did.
  • Added provinces to Danzig and the Canary Islands.
  • Tweaked the Anhui / Nanjing border to hopefully be a little more correct.

History Changes
  • Australia now has three research slots at start.
  • China's (and the Guangxi Clique's) German-trained divisions now have one extra infantry battalion as originally intended.
  • CH1 is now the Hebei-Chahar council at game start instead of the entire Dongbei Clique. They can become the Dongbei Clique if Nationalist China beefs it enough.
  • Removed the factories from Hunan and Changde states.
  • Pruned down Nationalist China's list of vassals: Shanxi, Guangxi, and Yunnan are all independent at the 1936 start.
  • The Spanish field marshal José Asensio Torrado now still exists as a general for the Republicans if La Resistance is enabled.
  • Gave Spain Great War Tanks at game start.
  • Took away Great War Tanks from Nationalist China, Communist China, and the Guangxi Clique.
  • USA starts with 1933 Light Tanks.

  • France starts with a heavy tank brigade template in 1936.
  • France's Maginot and Alpine line infantry start with their own unit template.
  • Italy's CC.NN. (Blackshirt) militia divisions start with their own unit template.

Update: 7 Dec, 2019 @ 4:29pm

Ver. 1.3.1

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed the constant spamming for the "buy time for Anti-Stalin Coup" mission even after the civil war starts.
  • Fixed Trotsky continuously trying to return to the USSR.

Update: 5 Dec, 2019 @ 7:28pm

Version 1.3

MAJOR CHANGES
  • Updated the Soviet Union Focus Tree, with an emphasis on giving players more decisions and options than the base game tree.
  • There are now two main political paths for the Soviets to take: Stalin's Great Purge, or taking on the role of the communist opposition and organizing a civil war similar to the one Germany can have. Both paths require you to work against the clock to increase the strength of your position, but only Stalin is able to avert civil war entirely.
  • After the civil war you have the option to either choose to have the Left Opposition with Trotsky or the Right Opposition with Martemyan Ryutin take control of the USSR.
  • The Soviet Political Trees have been significantly expanded, allowing for multiple paths of either aggressive or defensive play.
  • Updated the Custom Game Rules so that the Soviet AI can go down either the Stalinist, Trotskyist, or Right-Bolshevik paths.

BUG FIXES
  • Fixed the error where South Africa does not correctly spawn the right civil war on the Democratic path.
  • Dongbei Clique should now correctly prefer to side with Nationalist China when historical mode is turned on.

NEW GAME RULES
  • Added a new rule / start-up option that shatters Germany into 4 regional countries (not counting Austria).
  • Added a new rule / start-up option that annexes Shandong and the Sichuan Clique into Nationalist China in the 1936 start.

DATABASE CHANGES
  • Added German Prussia / Danzig Free State (tag GPR), Bavaria (tag BAV), and Siberia (tag SIB) as nation tags.
  • Changed the color of Fascism to be slightly brown-er and less red.
  • Falangism is renamed to Integralism, as Falangism before its Francoist merger with the Carlists was much closer to Italian-style fascists than to what falangism later was defined as, and we needed a generalized name for clerical/theocratic fascism.
  • Added Military Socialism, Supremacism, and Colonialism as sub-ideologies for Communism, Fascism, and Non-Aligned, respectively.
  • Altered the in-game descriptions of Oligarchism, Centrism, Fascism, Rexism, Nazism, and Fal-er, Integralism to be more consistent when comparing and contrasting against each other.
  • Wiped Moderatism and Anti-Revisionism from the face of the earth.
  • Changed the effects of Egypt's "Lingering Protectorate" national spirit.

MAP CHANGES
  • Europe now officially extends to the Urals and the edge of Kazakhstan.
  • Adjusted the states and provinces that comprise the modern Ukraine-Belarus border to better fit their contemporary shapes.
  • Tobolsk (580), Surgut (577), Yeniseisk (576), and Kirensk (575) are all impassible states, causing a more narrow Siberian front in play.
  • Added VP to Tomsk (578) and oil from Surgut.
  • Lima now correctly has city terrain rather than to its north.
  • Shanghai now correctly has city terrain.

HISTORY CHANGES - SOVIET UNION
  • Victor Baydalakov is now the fascist leader for the Soviet Union, and likewise the NTS is now the fascist party.
  • Konstantin Rodzaevsky is now the default (fascist) leader for Siberia.
  • Siberia has several White Russian emigres who were putzing around in Manchuria and Japan as starting generals.

HISTORY CHANGES
  • Bern is now the capital of Switzerland.
  • Egypt is no longer a puppet of the United Kingdom, but has a lot of military access and other treaties with them. They still hate each other's guts but can't really go to war over it.
  • Iran and Iraq now have most of their oil "voluntarily leased" to the United Kingdom, giving the Axis actual historical shortage issues.
  • Added historical generals and field marshals to Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia, and Paraguay. Some of them are also the rulers of their respective countries and are ID'd as #100-112.
  • Changed Paraguay's starting ideology to Non-Aligned.
  • Rafael Franco is now also the Non-Aligned leader for Paraguay in the 1936 start, as the Febrerista revolution started off as a very eclectic mix of anti-parliamentary groups.
  • José Sorzano is now also the Democratic leader for Bolivia.
  • Added Germán Busch as the Fascist leader of Bolivia.
  • Adjusted Bolivia's starting politics.
  • Changed Liberia's ruling ideology to Non-Aligned.
  • Added Democratic and Non-Aligned party names for Liberia.
  • Edwin Barclay is now the Non-Aligned leader of Liberia and also likes the United States.

China Scenario Nerfs and Bugfixes
  • Removed military factory from Zhongyuan and East Hebei state.
  • Reduced the number of military factories in Sichuan and Wuhan state by one.
  • Chiang Kai-Shek will be removed as a field marshal if Chiang is assassinated during the Xi'an incident.
  • Nerfed Chiang Kai-Shek and He Yingqin's field marshal stats.
  • The "Xinbian Shi" unit templates are locked for the CHI and GXC tags at the start of the game. Completing the "60 Divisions Plan" on the Nationalist Chinese focus tree will unlock the unit for the tag.
